From what I have understood, the project is an accelerator of virtual application to real world applications. This can be everything! It can be applicable to any enterprising problem. And indeed, it will be massive when the adoption will be widespread.

OCL price has been very modest through all of this pump and dumps in the crypto markets. It have remained stable at around 600-700 sats. ICO price I believe was 400 sats? I mean it has been a pretty stable token to hold overall and knowing the potential and work that has been going on in the background, I am glad of sitting on OCL Smiley Liquidity should be provided by adding OCL to a  bigger exchange than tidex and the waves dex tho. I do believe that if waves gets more adoption we would be ok trading in the dex in the long term. The faucets are almost always dry now that they require OCL tho :c

This is one crypto that I have no concern holding at all - and buying more of. 700 sats is still cheap for what OCL is set to do

If WAVES is a complete downfall and doesn't do well does that mean OCL could go down with it?

I really given up hope on WAVES and its assets, Alot of bagholders and price manipulation...

Is OCL still a good bet even if WAVES turns to complete shit?

Does OCL have to rely on the WAVES platform completely to be able to operate properly?

TIA!

What you are trying to do? Spreading negativity when there is no negativity.

OCL is builded on top of the wavesplatform and delivered some of their products according their whitepaper already.

They are very bissy with new developments so better watch this token and it's purposes before you want to bring it to the trashcan.

- These are slow development days as we had a lot of other things to do in order to prepare ourselves to the new challenges that await us.

- Focus will be on the new Oceanlab.eu website and content in the next few days, we're creating the new whitepaper as well as preparing a few articles for medium/steem and other blockchain related websites to explain where our projects will lead us, the challenges and technology application we'll be working on. This content is really necessary and will greatly help us to promote our work.

- More features and content are coming to gravit in the next few days/weeks, we wish it could be faster but there are many things requiring our attention right now, but events are very positive and perspectives are evolving. We'll probably have some great news soon and we'll be able to give more details about our partnership.

- More information about the fork/sidechain will be available soon as well, it will be explained in one of the articles I'll be writing in the next few weeks, from its use to the way it will be distributed.

- We're also already preparing our first Waves smart contract project which will benefit OCL holders. It will be a valuable blockchain use case experiment that will showcase one aspect of the systems we'll be working on. More details on this later.

What's going on with the wavesdrop faucets. It seems they are never refilled!  Cry it sucks because it's always fun to claim some tokens from there but since OCL became the standard fee for them, they run out pretty fast. How is OCL a better solution to the previous method if it just gets more difficult to claim?

Anyways, regarding price, I think OCL is one of the most stable tokens out there it has been very well held at these levels even through chaos and hype, that's something outstanding.

Sad why is price bad ?

the reason is not OCL but the whole crypto-market. Atm about 90% of the coins/tokens go down with the prices

Anyone with price predictions for this bull cycle? 2000 sats is the top in BTC price, which I think is still fairly low that makes 400 stats look like free money.

Is there anything new about OCL? I am missing weekly reports, which were very good way to let us know what is going on with OCL. I hope that you continue to write weekly reports regularly.

Here is the last weekly report from OCL, I shall try to continue posting the weekly's here on btctalk.

If you want to see the weekly before I post it in this topic join the OCL telegram channel:  OceanLab $OCL
Human Ideas | Blockchain Realities
Europe's first technical incubator
https://t.me/Oceanlab_OCL

Sphearis:
Hi everyone, here's the weekly!
- At the end of this week, Gravit will be updated with the first OCL premium only features and several other fixes (some are already applied). This update will be followed by a redesign (better UX, mobile friendly).
- One of these features will include a chat/promotional space for our users. Anyone will be able to chat but to send a link, it will have to be done with OCL (1 OCL to publish one message with a link or being premium by holding 10000 OCL or more on the sending address).
- People will be able to use this fully blockchain powered chat system to discuss or to promote ICOs/blockchain projects/post referral links on both Gravit and Wavesdrop. This OCL token use will be beneficial to us but also to our supporters as 50% of the received OCL will go automatically to the OCL holders pool for the quarterly distribution.
- We're also integrating a blockchain message filter and ban system (automatic) to avoid spamming and cursing, an automatic warning before redirecting to an outside link and several other security enhancing feature. We're willing this system to become the base of a full Waves powered messaging system with several new features that will be implemented shortly after (channels, tipping, open source version to integrate blockchain messenging in your own websites and projects).
- We remind you once again that fountainperpetua as you know it will close its doors next month. Most of the leasers left and we advise people who still have a lease on our node to switch to another one. Blackturtlenode for example is managed by one of the most talented Waves enthusiast and developer our team has met.
- Our project will be represented at the Waves Vienna meetup on April 25th. If you go there, look for the guys with Oceanlab shirts Smiley
Our partners have also sent me great news today:
- The first work session with the legal network we will work with for one of our main offer (Legally binding smart contracts) is planned Mid-May.
- They negociated a partnership with UNamur (Namur University in Belgium), you'll get more information about the nature of this partnership in the next few weeks.
- After the validation of the first version of our business plan, they'll be tomorrow at the House of Startups in Luxemburg to validate the "problem" we wish to solve in our new whitepaper.
- The whitepaper is progressing but as you can see, our partners are doing things in the most professional way possible. It takes a lot of time, meetings and efforts to reach the "real world".

Looking forward today to this:

Sphearis:
Gravit feature update will be deployed tomorrow evening European time. Along with announcements of what you can expect in the next feature update. Wavesdrop will be back up in the next few days, we’re updating the infrastructure to prepare for its own feature updates. And yes, now that we have enough information I’m already working on the smart contracts which will replace or simply help the decentralization of our actual features (PoS4All, faucets) as well as adding new ones to the Waves ecosystem.

new weekly update copy/pasted from telegram

Sphearis:
Hi everyone, here’s the weekly.
- The Gravit website first features update has been deployed, to keep it short here, you can check the added features here : https://gravit.ws/1804update.aspx
- With it we’re adding the firsts of a long list of uses of the OCL token, it’s also time to explain how the tokens we will receive from the different services will be used:
No OCL has been spent or sold by the team, we promised to keep our small share for two years at least, and we’re buying continuously on the market since the beginning for our transaction fees. For example, Wavesdrop and Pos4All are making thousands of transactions everyday. All the OCL we will receive will be mainly used to process these transactions and to reward our holders by supplying the pool.
- You can see them everywhere on Twitter and we’re happy to see so much traction around the Waves platform : Smart contracts are here and we’re deeply looking into their possibilities. To replace or optimize some of our current services but also to create new ones, including a first oracle experiment that will act as a demo for the companies we’ll be reaching in the next few months.
- Features are good but the design also has to be reinvented. We’ve already been working on it for several months but due to many changes with our partnership and the new perspectives, it’s a completely new identity we’re looking into. You’ll discover this new identity on Oceanlab.eu first, Gravit will also know its long awaited design update after.
- Another feature update is already planned : Wavesdrop is the next on our list. We already reinvented the faucet engine by making it able to autogenerate a faucet for any asset created on the Wavesplatform, we’re now looking to improve the platform to provide more fun ways to earn your assets or Waves and bring more value to ourselves and to asset creators. Reliability is our top priority but we’ve run into several problems too many times. We really want this to be a thing of the past and we’re currently working on improving EVERY technical aspect. Wavesdrop should be back up quickly. The feature update for Wavesdrop is planned for june and it will bring a few surprises including an open source Waves and assets powered game engine.
- Fountainperpetua is no more, any remaining lease won’t receive any payout. We’re keeping it working as a development/scripted node. The final count and payout to all our leasers will be done before the 15th May.
- Another round of exchange contacts has been made by @dibatch lately, he's probably waiting for answers, he'll be able to answer you on that point. I just want to remind you that the biggest exchanges have some requirements we have to meet before they accept our token, these specifications will be met when everything will be fully launched with our partners. Everybody in the team is currently working hard on it.

new weekly update copy/pasted from telegram

Sphearis:
Hi everyone, here's the weekly:
- We're currently working on several issues and improvements to the infrastructure to introduce an auto-adaptative setup to improve the performance and reliability. Some issues appeared right after the new set of features release and we decided to launch this radical change earlier than planned. This is causing some disruption to Gravit and Wavesdrop right now.
- But both websites will be fully back and functional this week, even with a new feature : A custom/user chat page. This will ease the way you can communicate with your Waves addresses to others. You will be able to open a channel (simply provide an address you use to communicate and the messages sent to that address will be shown in a pleasant and readable way, like a Twitter feed. You'll be able to create chat channels easily on the Waves blockchain and even promote them as we'll also provide a channel directory shortly after.
- With so many things done in the background and all the changes that are happening at Oceanlab, you certainly have a lot of questions, we've planned to do an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session at the end of this month. You'll be able to provide and vote for the questions you want answered on a dedicated Amafeed page(link coming to this telegram channel this week).
- I'll be teaching a second talented and very motivated dev about the Gravit engine starting this week, he will greatly help with integration of new features to the Gravit ecosystem and also improve the existing ones. It will allow me to focus on my 2 main areas: The core engine and the infrastructure. Working in parallel on all aspects (features, engine and infrastructure improvements) has been very hard lately, and didn't provide the expected results. Now is the time to take my time and benefit from the resources our partners are bringing with them.
- Fountainperpetua's full report is being generated and will be published on a specific "reports" page which will soon be available on the Gravit website. That page will showcase several reports we're able to provide with real examples. Some of them will be automatically generated/renewed.
- We're really working hard at getting the things running as good as they should while adding value. And we really thank you for your patience, as a cryptoenthusiast myself I know how long a few weeks or a few months can be. But we had a lot of chance to meet the right people at the right time, and even if everything they're doing is taking a lot of time to get a result, with them we're already far ahead in the blockchain race which is happening in Europe.
