Hi everyone , how do I qualify for the airdrop? Is it just have to be a loyal fan to MTNC , download the wallet and be active on bitcointalk ? Am I required to run one masternode using my computer ? Sorry for the stupid question , still a newbie

Exactly as you said - everyone can apply for it. To really get the airdrop you have to be active. As mentioned in the OP.
No masternode required.

So I signed up for the first airdrop... but I didn't see my name in the list... not sure why?
I've applied for the second drop now also. I am pretty active on bitcointalk, being the trade thread manager for another coin and following a couple of coins.

still think the first airdrop was to many coins per user, now that they have free masternodes the rest of us battle to stake because the network weight is to high... its almost impossible to stake enough or get enough from the second airdrop to start a masternode. i havent mined anything in the last couple of days with staking...

I've got 100 Masternodecoins... my network weight is so low it says my estimated time to reward is 28 days. lol. I am never going to be able to PoS mine this coin unfortunately :-(

i don't think the intention is for users to be able to stake such small amounts, to stand a change you will really need a masternode.
