It's always better to keep coins on your own wallet if you don't trade. Most secure way is NEON wallet in combination with a Ledger Nano S, and you will get every airdrop for sure.

When you exchange your GAS for fiat the government will want to know when it was acquired. I would not recommend trying to cheat the gov. You are setting yourself up for a world of hurt.

I installed Neon Wallet 0.1.3, but I keep getting a warning that my wallet is out of date.

Any idea why this is?

i cant exchange gas to fiat first i need it to exchange to bitcoin. and when i sell my bitcoins for fiat i pay fees but if i hold them longer than 1 year i dont have to pay fees in my country so i dont have to care. i generate 1 gas per month it cost now 40$ i have to pay 25% from that every month fee to my government but i dont sell gas so what i do if gas drop some time later to 0 because colapse or whatelse i paid already fees and have now 0,0 money.. not with me i pay ONLY fees when i exchange it to fiat. coin to coin profit is for me no real profit or when i generate a coin because it can go everytime to 0 so i dont care what government say we should do.

Gas is basically coin aquired by mining process. some of the countrys not taxing mining.
capital gain tax maybe but this need to be checked by good accountant.

beside. just because you wallet producing gas that dosnt mean you doing something with it.
You can not claim it and sorted. Like gas was never in your hands in first place.
