I have a question about Neon on Ledger Nano S. When I try to send neo or gas it asks me to confirm the transaction on the hardware device like it does with bitcoin, litecoin and other coins but there is no checkmark on neo just confirm deniy but no way to select it. i tried to even double click (both buttons) but that just says "wake up neo" kicks me out of the app or something.

So what can I do any idea?Huh

I'm not sure if sending NEO or GAS is the same as claiming GAS, but when I claim GAS it asks me to confirm transactions two times (I have to press both buttons on the Ledger Nano S to confirm) and everything works fine.

Thank you Slackovic, who would tink to press both buttons 2 times fast but I think it worked!!!

I have a new question::

I sent the 1 neo to the exchange that worked. but in order to claim gas I get this message:

Sign transaction 1 of 2 to claim Gas on your hardware device (sending Neo to yourself)

i try to send 1 neo to myself by copying my public address then i send the 1 neo i have done it a few times and confirmed on the ledger nano s by pressing both buttions the same time twice but i still can't claim the gass.

Any ideas???

Weekly Report #23–2017.12.31

City of Zion (CoZ) is a global community of open source enthusiasts, with the shared goal of helping NEO achieve its full potential. CoZ primarily operates through the community Discord and CoZ Github, central places where the community shares knowledge and contributes to projects.
CoZ is neither a corporation, nor a consulting firm or a devshop / for-hire group.
Governance
There is no formal process in joining CoZ. Interested individuals will have to do the work first, and the submitted code has to be licensed under the MIT License. Consistent contributors will become eligible to join the CoZ organization, and begin collaborating on projects. The governance process of this organization can be found here.
Funding
Since its inception, the CoZ Council has been in close contact with the NEO Council. The NEO Council provides support to the community, in the form of NEO rewards, which CoZ redistributes weekly.
For individuals who are interested in financially supporting CoZ development, our donation address is AXSoNQEKjmqPBNPg5cNrHyWivfjok3Vj9D.
For transparency, CoZ Council members are excluded from weekly NEO rewards, and any CoZ competitions. This week, 434 NEO were awarded for the contributions to the NEO ecosystem.

I'm afraid I don't understand what are you trying to ask me Smiley When you claim GAS, you need to confirm two transactions on the Ledger Nano S. First is immediately when you claim GAS and second is after 10-15 seconds. Both times you need to press both buttons on the Ledger Nano S to confirm the transactions.

I don't know why would you need to send NEO to yourself in order to claim GAS. I claim it simply by pressing "Claim X.XXX GAS" button and then confirming two transactions on the Ledger Nano S.

Regulation - NEO and Macau Gambling similarities, and likely outcome.
 by largenutz

https://www.reddit.com/r/NEO/comments/7nbjsw/regulation_neo_and_macau_gambling_similarities/?st=JBVJR1B0&sh=124cb114

During the financial crisis of 2008, publicly- traded casino operators in Macau lost 90% of their value. This is partially a result from large debit-encumbered projects half built, decrease in China's GDP from 12% to 6%, and one other thing, VISA RESTRICTIONS! The Chinese government tightened visa restriction on Chinese citizens from traveling from Hong Kong to Macau for a limited amount of visits per month. The reasons behind the restrictions was to protect both the economy, and its' citizens from losing large amounts of money gambling.
Once GDP rose again, the Chinese government felt that the economy was safer to lesson the restrictions, and increased the amount of time mainland Chinese citizens could visit Macau in a given month. As a result, the socks of casino operators shot up. Why is this important to NEO? This is important to NEO because understanding how the government has operated in the past, can allow you to draw important conclusions to a future NEO thesis. The exchange closure in China was implemented to protect its' citizens from ICO fraud and to protect its' financial system to risks from the rise of crypto-currencies that could possibly have had a negative effect on the monetary policy and banking system of China.
So far things are starting to look very similar for the crypto-currency-exchange-ban as they did for the visa restrictions in Macau. Sometime soon, when China's central bank either creates their own crypto-currency, or implements regulations for crypto-currency exchanges; most likely the later, we will see a very powerful and explosive gain in and across all China-based cryptographic asset classes. This will eventually happen, it's just a matter of when. In the meantime however, NEO being a cutting-edge global organization does not need the aforementioned government effect to continue its price rise. We can expect NEO to rise to tens or even hundreds of billions of dollars in market capitalization without China regulations.
However, when this does happen, when the small amount of cloud to the worlds' largest consumer base is gone, NEO can potentially grow to the number 1 cryptographic asset in the world.

NEO is approaching $100!

(If anyone is watching the price movements, there's a 10,000 NEO sell wall on Binance!)

MOONLIGHT
Building a Decentralized Workforce Platform

https://neonewstoday.com/development/moonlight-building-decentralized-workforce/

Building a Decentralized Workforce Platform

Moonlight takes an alternative approach to the mechanic used for project staffing, realization, and compensation to create a distributed workforce that is capable of fulfilling the needs of the current blockchain ecosystem while also tackling some of the issues presented in the conventional product development space as well.

In the project announcement for Moonlight, we outlined some of the fundamental goals of the project:

Accessibility of critical project resources
Verifiable organizational skill-sets
Improved project success rates
While these aren't the only goals of the project, they are certainly some of the more important ones. If you missed the project announcement, you can find it here.

Over the next few months, leading up to the formal whitepaper and ICO, we will be releasing a series of announcements that will provide some conceptual information about how Moonlight is being designed to meet the project's goals. These announcements are meant to seed the community with some of the Moonlight concepts in the hopes that we can fine-tune the project using community feedback.

In this article, we are going to cover some of the terms used in the Moonlight ecosystem as well as a concept for the Moonlight system token. We believe this information will be valuable for the community and helpful for understanding concepts presented in the next article which will cover the project definition and analytical project management components of the ecosystem. All of the concepts presented here will be presented in extended detail in the whitepaper.

Moonlight Terminology:

Organization

In Moonlight, organizations are the entities which generate content. An organization can be an individual or group of individuals. Organizations can also be made up of other organizations. They have the ability to generate tasks in the ecosystem and also resolve them.

Organizations can act in one of the following roles during task resolution:

Issuer: The organization that creates a task in the system.
Resolver: The organization that fulfills a task in the system.

Moonlight provides a number of mechanisms to track organizational competency:

Skills: Every task completed by an organization is published to the blockchain. The skills required for each completed task are logged to the organization and can be used to represent the domain-specific capabilities of an organization.

Reviews: After a task has been completed, the participating organizations (Issuer and Resolver) are prompted to review eachother. Organizational reviews are published to the blockchain. This review represents the overall quality of interacting with the organization.

Bid Accuracy: When acting as a Resolver, organizations place bids on tasks (see bidding). The accuracy of these bids relative to the actual completion duration are also logged as a tool to indicate the organization's bid quality for tasks. The skills associated with the tasks are taken into consideration when evaluating bid accuracy within the system...........

No stat for GAS earned per day, maybe Coranos can add this to it if he reads this Smiley

You stake NEO. And you don't need to keep the wallet open for this. You just need to have balance.

You stake NEO. And you don't need to keep the wallet open for this. You just need to have balance.

You just need to move your NEO to a wallet you control and you will start earning gas. Most exchanges won't reward you gas for holding it on the exchange, but a few do.

I like that the team does not aspire to simply raise money and wait for the growth of the value of the tokens. It seems to me that they are trying to create a community of like-minded people and a solid base. By the way, about the price now it is $ 94.60 USD (2.43%). not bad. Smiley
