Bittrex will not give you GAS for the NEO you hold on there exchange (they don't even trade it). You should hold your NEO on Kucoin who give GAS generated by your NEO on a daily basis.

To what, generate GAS. Well with that much you may get almost 2 GAS per year. If GAS goes to $100 or $500 etc. you decide.

I often made this mistake and did not stake etc. coins, but realized it was a mistake when the coin went up 20x.

If you don't have a Kucoin account get one here https://www.kucoin.com/#/signup?r=E3K63p [my referal - spread the joy] Smiley

Yea, just keeping it on bittrex means losing 10% yearly. Kind of bad move if you planning to keep NEO for longterm.

There are many wallet options. For Mac, you can use either the web wallet (platform agnostic) or else the Neon wallet specifically for Mac. The Neon wallet is made by City of Zion, which is NEO's open-source developer community and is endorsed by the NEO Council. So yes, it is 'official'.

All wallets linked on the lower right here:

https://www.reddit.com/r/NEO/

For those debating whether to leave coins on an exchange:

If you use Binance or Kucoin, then sure, you might consider it. You are slightly increasing your risks, though, in the unlikely event an exchange closes or the somewhat-more-likely event that regulations change and your coins are trapped until you jump through a bunch of bureaucratic hoops.

If you are using an exchange that doesn't pay you in GAS, there is zero reason to leave your NEO on the exchange unless you're day trading or you only have like 2 NEO. You are incurring the same risks as above, PLUS you're paying the exchange your GAS, which is silly. Once NEO holders begin to receive GAS fees for network transactions, you'll be losing out on those too. If you're planning to hold your NEO for a while, the amount you make make in GAS and security will more than compensate for the tiny fee you lose to withdraw.

Holding your NEO in your own wallet is safer, makes more financial sense (again, unless you're day trading), and it's so easy there is no excuse not to do it.

For holding 100 NEO you will get slightly more than 1 GAS per month. You can check exaclty how much you will get using this calculator..https://neotogas.com/
Other calculators are available, look for "GAS Calculators" on right hand side of this Reddit topic.. https://www.reddit.com/r/NEO/

My fear is that the CoZ wallet is "official" and I was not sure I put it there. I bought a few a couple of weeks ago, I do not have much, but I do not want to leave it in the exchange so I asked you.

Thanks to all <3

Will neo ever been divisible into non-whole numbers???

No. NEO are equivalent to shares in a company, which are also not divisible. NEO's function is to generate GAS for holders. It is not a utility token, nor is it intended to be traded as a 'coin'. GAS, which is a utility token, is divisible.
