YES, I am SO tired of all the SCAMMERS!! They are everywhere! anytime you join a new Telegram channel you have several claiming to be admins and offering you a "bonus" for the token sale. They are all over Twitter and just everywhere. I just feel bad for those that are naive and end up being scammed.

Yes, always go to the official NEO website and get the wallets from there.

OMG ! I just bought a bunch of NEO a couple of days before the market nose-dived, now where did I put that sturdy rope...
Ah well, just because some small exchanged got hacked BTC crashed, it's not like it hasn't happened before but why the big drop this time.
Good news is I was looking for a new graphics card, guess I'll pick one up cheap now

What airdrop are you talking about? You can check your address to see what tokens you have https://neotracker.io/wallet neotracker is also a web wallet.

Also some NEP5 airdrops will not be distributed until later and you can confirm in their Telegram group.

If you are sure you have received the airdropped token and it is not showing in your NEON wallet you may have to add the script hash and you would need to get that from the tokens official channels.

Below are other wallets available that you can access your NEON address across different platforms

Which wallet do you have, the method is, clearly, different for each wallet to see the airdrops you received.
I the neo-gui wallet got to 'Advanced/Options' and in the 'NEP-5 Contracts List' put in the contract for the coin you have the airdrop for.
Here are some contract numbers:

I agree that the fee helps keep shitty projects out of the Neo ecosystem, and I'd say that's a good thing 

as Neo ecosystem grow and mature, we shall see some ICO projects spike out of the forest and becomes the next big thing
