Bitcoin will be preferred more than BCH, many do have Bitcoin cash but most of them claimed and still haven't purchased.
Most of my friends and even myself consider BCH as other normal altcoins. Just because its name is attached with Bitcoin it got a nice uprise in its value so quick. It will be there but won't be of that value compared to Bitcoin.

I, too, immediately disapproved of this coin. But then I looked, that on many stock exchanges it uses unpredictable. I realized that this coin can be used for speculative purposes

Most holders BCC are choose believe in one day the price of BCC can pumps.

I'm a BTC holder and im also thinking that this is more than just a hype. I don't have some coins to trade right now but I'm considering BCC as one of the alternative coin that is worth investing for because it is an improved version of bitcoin and who knows, maybe a year its price grow much more than the etherium. As some posts up here that are saying that there are a lot more going on that what we think and this is dangerous so we must have to consider all the possibilities of dumping or selling or holding or else we might be missing something very important right now.
I don't think so there is any harm in holding Bitcoin cash if you are running short on Bitcoins. At least Bitcoin cash is far better than other digital currencies such as eth. Yeah! We can hope for the bright future of Bitcoin cash and I would recommend holding some Bitcoin cash in wallet as a long term investment.

Fundamentally, they are both shitcoins to me. Both are bloatchains and in the case of Ethereum, I still don't really understand what purpose it serves in terms of real world applications. I will hold my coins on any hard fork of bitcoin, though, just in case the market disagrees with me. I would prefer small blocks and no hard forks -- let's see where the Lightning Network goes -- but I won't lose money over it. Tongue

What do you think of Bitcoin Cash?
Do you think it will have the same value as Bitcoin or it will be just another Alt. Coin in the crypto market?

Bitcoin cash is altcoin many call that like others altcoin, bitcoin cash has a high price compared to other altcoin because it fork out of bitcoin so not strange for it, but bitcoin cash may not be able to compete bitcoin

Nope it won't and far from it. It already made a big decline from the time it was launched so it doesn't really come close to btc. Perhaps not even to bitcoin's closest alt runnerups like etherium. It's not even on a lot of exchanges' list of supported alts and othwr btc gambling platforms.
That's true. Bitcoin cash has faced a great dumping soon after it was launched. It is mere exaggeration to say that bitcoin cash is near classic Bitcoin. Bitcoin cash can't even compete with altcoins. But still I think it is not bad to give few between cash in the wallets. In case if they increase in value in future, we will be on the safe side.

Not sure that's true, given that most altcoins are just forks of Bitcoin or Ethereum anyway. So I think it can certainly compete from a speculation standpoint. Long term? Most shitcoins will wither and die, along with Bitcoin Cash.

But speculatively, I still suspect after the dump, we will see a long term accumulation over months, and Bitcoin Cash will rise like a phoenix sometime in the future...

You wont be thinking of it the same way when the hash power slowly starts to transfer to the Bitcoin Cash chain. Its more of a threat than a spam coin.

But why would it?

If we don't talk about political issues here, why would miners choose to abandon mining of the real Bitcoin in favor of Bitcoin Cash? Wouldn't that mean losing profits? Indeed, if just a few miners switch to BCH, they may in fact start earning more, but, in my opinion, it is not worth it as long as Bitcoin Cash is 10 times cheaper than the real Bitcoin. Anyway, it seems that mining pools like ViaBTC continue to mine both coins, so it doesn't look like any mining pool is going to leave Bitcoin Core mining altogether

Leaving politics aside, BCC could be worth much more than it is today. Let say the price doubles, in a few months, making some miners leave BTC and start mining BCC. Without BCC's emergency difficulty adjustment feature, it will make BTC confirmation time longer and will have to take a longer time to adjust. This will then result in the market reacting negatively.

BCC having increased price and increased mining power will make the market react positively and as long as the price increases, so do the hash power.

This is highly dubious

First of all, you are assuming that miners (and not just a few individual miners, but whole mining pools) will switch to mining Bitcoin Cash based on expectations of future profits. Personally, I see no reason why they should lose their revenue now in favor of some obscure profits in the future which are in no way set in stone (remember we excluded politics from consideration). Further, the price should rise really high to make your assumption really viable, and not just high in absolute terms but rather relative to the price of the regular Bitcoin (maybe, to at least 1/3 or 1/2). I don't think it is quite likely, and therefore there is no reason for miners to massively switch to mining Bitcoin Cash

While Bitcoin has reached $4000, the potential increase in Bitcoin Cash is much more. Bitcoin Cash can double in price easily, and people wouldn't be surprised. If Bitcoin reaches $8000, it would be a great deal.

That's the essential gamble with altcoins. Altcoins can 1000x and we won't blink an eye. It would take incredible amounts of money for Bitcoin to do that. We would essentially need rapid adoption by the financial services sector, or something of similar magnitude, for that to happen for Bitcoin. So for small fish, it's understandable why we are always on the lookout for promising altcoins: because it's the best way to accumulate more bitcoins.

In general, I agree with your attitude

The only thing which I would like to add is that Bitcoin with its price rising is likely going to behave more like altcoins in the future (at least, in respect to volatility) since higher prices greatly contribute to higher volatility, and thus we could see Bitcoin prices surge as easily as plunge. At higher prices and the same monetary supply, the demand is bound to run dry which sets perfect environment for insane price volatility (according to the Bitcoin Big Rip theory)

Bitcoin still prevail on top, were I already expecting it to be happen as always. No wonder because bitcoin is the mother of all altcoins, and BCC is one of the altcoin. it is just a piece of shit were it more on hyped only. Even the bcc value is getting higher, bitcoin was rapidly going to moon of the value, which is shows only bcc are match with it. So it maybe in your dream that bcc can surpass or overtake the price value of bitcoin.

Why we need to compare those two cryptocurrency when they are almost the same? They don't have difference because it is like bitcoin is having a clone and the only thing that you will observe for bitcoin cash is the price of it compare to bitcoin which bitcoin is really high right now and taking new all time highs while bitcoin cash is now less hype and only a few people are sitting there.

Things are more intricate than that

They don't have to support Bitcoin Cash indefinitely since people will run out of their BCH tokens sooner or later even if all of them choose to get rid of these tokens. Obviously, quite a few BCH holders aren't going to sell these coins, and some may even be looking to buy more. Anyway, after this initial stage of rampant sell-offs and buy-ups is over, their hands will be untied, and they can proceed to the next level of dethroning Bitcoin (as they likely think). You also seem to discard the possibility that the cartel might be selling regular bitcoins for BCH to prop up the price of the latter

I may be wrong but I see it like this. If you are selling something you have to make the price competitive. In other words the price should be lower than in other places, otherwise people will be buying in those places and not from you. In our case if we are selling Bitcoins for Bitcoin Cash we should make people pay less Bitcoin Cash for BTC than in other places to attract buyers. Yes, such act would prop up the price of BCH, but at what cost. We'll be losing money. In fact selling Bitcoins for lower amount of Bitcoin Cash is the same thing as buying Bitcoin Cash for higher amount of Bitcoins

This is certainly not the only possibility

You can sell original bitcoins for dollars and get market rates. And then use dollars to bid up the price slowly. But this is ultimately irrelevant since you may be selling for a loss today to earn decent profits tomorrow. In fact, when you buy some asset you hope that it will rise in the future even if its price continues to decline after you make a purchase. But this is obviously not all. The cartel may not be looking for short term profits (like in "buy low sell high"). They are ultimately looking for control, and they don't care about how much it could cost them in dollar or Bitcoin terms since if they control Bitcoin (under whatever name), they control the whole market (after all, they could break even entirely via mining fees in the end)

Well, if they are people with dozens of billions USD and their aim is to control the whole market, they may try, good luck with that, but I think they will fail. Fortunately lately, I mean 15 years or so, we are living in the world where, thanks to the internet, what is really the best wins. No matter how much money you spend on promotion, if there's something which is better in the same field with the product you promote, you will fail.

In fact, I don't particularly disagree with you

At least, not in general. But the case of Bitcoin Core vs Bitcoin Cash doesn't belong here. Honestly, I don't see any important or crucial difference between the former and the latter. They are basically six of one and half a dozen of the other in virtually any respect which is of significance here. You can substitute one with the other, and nothing is going to change. Therefore, you can't possibly say that one is much better than the other if that was your point

First of, I'm not arguing with you, I pretty much enjoy reading you posts. It's more like I enjoy the conversation.

My point is, if someone invented a drink absolutely identical to Coca-Cola and named it Koka-Drink, I'd prefer to use the original Coca-Cola and I'd be saying that Coca-Cola is much better than Koka-Drink because the former was the revolution in its time and the latter was just a copy, and if we were supporting the things like the latter the progress would stop.

But this is not what you have been saying

Basically, you have been saying that "if there's something which is better in the same field with the product you promote, you will fail". Now you say that you would still prefer Coca-Cola even if the competing product were absolutely identical. It may work with Coca-Cola (something subjective) but may not work with something which cab be objectively measured. And this measure in the case of Bitcoin versus Bitcoin Cash showdown is profitability. Note that I'm not favoring any of them here, I just take a neutral approach and claim that the currency which will be able to bring more profits over longer periods of time will necessarily win since profitability is what the vast majority of people are looking for. And it is not just about regular Bitcoin and Bitcoin cash, it is about any coin out there

Lol it's still i would choose BITCOIN the mother coin of all of them hehehe. Nitcoin Cash is just a fork of BITCOIN maybe there's a time that Bitcoin Cash would blow but BITCOIN still the best of them hehe
bitcoin already touched the new ATH above $4000 that was so crazy, but what already happened with bitcoin cash? nothing happen at least the more people want to buy the real bitcoin. the price of bitcoin is really promising right now.

If you look at it that way, Bitcoin Cash started from zero. Smiley
While Bitcoin has reached $4000, the potential increase in Bitcoin Cash is much more. Bitcoin Cash can double in price easily, and people wouldn't be surprised. If Bitcoin reaches $8000, it would be a great deal.
Yes, that’s true. Bitcoin Cash started from scratch, it just came out by itself. There wasn’t any split or SegWit.
I would say Bitcoin Cash is all good, but you can’t put it in the ring to compete against Bitcoin. Bitcoin was the first, and well trusted by everyone.

I agree, but still I don't think that Bitcoin Cash will be the winner. To me it looks like the situation with high transaction fees is improving day by day. Right now, for example, you have to pay 180 satoshis/byte for a pretty fast, within 30 minutes, transaction. As far as I remember it was 400+ satoshis/byte some time ago. I think changes for good will bring more people to Bitcoin in the future and Bitcoin Cash will be forgotten by many of its today's supporters.
