If we get our bounty tokens or not (nothing so far)...

in any case today was a MASSIVE PR disaster.

Authorship team knows - and has deleted that embarrassing rant that was posted earlier today on  their website (and sent to their users via email).
Damage is done, though. The text has been screenshotted and quoted all over the web.

And even now, several hours later: no clear statement, no official update on the website, no retraction on the fishy claims that were made in that announcement that was supposed to cheat the vast majority of bounty promoters out of their tokens in exchange for some - very hypothetical - books.

Just some panicked backpedaling since the backlash was louder and more determined than expected.

Authorship - you better do something about your credibility.

People including myself invested money in your platform.

What you have shown today in terms of communication skills, disaster management and (non-existent) contingency plans, etc.  - does not make you look like a professional company that will be able to make a platform with many thousands of authors and even MORE transactions and fraud attempts work and profitable.

Investors - even those just speculating on a quick profit on the tokens, not long-term revenue - will not be amused.

Peter, I think everyone here will agree this has been a difficult launch and handled badly. Giving something for free has brought out the worst in people and ruined a good launch for the legitimate promoters.

I hope authorship has learned from this experience, it really is a bad look for any potential customers seeing how Authorship has handled this bounty in the last 24 hours and I know for a fact there are people put off now using your platform. This is a real shame.

You have time to fix this, bring your product back on track. Its essential you give assurance to those that ran a legitimate bounty campaign for you to ensure they get their tokens, even if this take many weeks to complete.

Update:

Q: Am I getting my tokens?
A: Yes, if you didn't have more then 3 refferals/sign ups from the same IP, then you are getting your tokens.

Q: When will I get my tokens?
A: Please be patient. They have started sending out tokens as you can see on EtherScan. You just have to wait now.

Q: When will the tokens be available on exchanges?
A: As soon as they are done distributing them, they will be available on exchanges.

Doubt it, you don't even need to file a claim form anymore I guess. They have flipped flopped back and forth so who knows how it's being done.

I filed claim as soon as it was available and received the confirmation email but haven't got my ATS tokens yet.

wtf is wrong with you guys !Why the hell are you complaining. REMEMBER The ATS tokens are FREE that required little effort from you to gain. This is such a generous thing to offer a free 10$ yet most of you are complaining about not receiving it yet. smh.

victim blaming and a very confused mindset.

Nothing is free here.

You had to submit your email and personal data incl. name and ether wallet address.

If you wanted referrals, you had to promote (=do marketing for Authorship, cost per hour usually much higher than 10 bucks...)

So - people bashing Authorship that they tried to get away with dumping the bounty program completely, or the half-assed retraction now, are perfectly right.

If you run an affiliate scheme and can't handle it and then try to wiggle out, not your users' fault.

yes, and we are still waiting for a APOLOGY for all that bullshit.
and I'd like to hear a statement from your boss, the CEO on that matter.
They have nothing to apologize for, they are still sending tokens to the impatient, greedy people that still complain and spam this this thread with scam accusations

ETH addresses are untraceable and I used a fake name+email and have my few thousand tokens in my wallet. People are complaining about free tokens that take little effort to acquire. Ungrateful, impatient people.

There's nothing generous about promising pay for delivered work and when the work is done withholding the pay. The reactions were over-emotional and sometimes over the edge. But it did help to get Authorship back on the fair track again.

Yes; peoples reactions were not nice, but neither was Authorships initial decision.

Nevertheless I wish the project still the best. I think it was a rough day for the team, perhaps especially Peter, and I hope today doesn't get to them too much.

Hello, Peter!

I am head of the community assembled from several universities. This is both students and teachers (about 15 thousand people, the potential audience for reading and authorship). I sent out to the participants in my group writing and thus brought together people who are interested in the book topics in our universities. Among our community gathered a number of people interested in having ATS tokens for personal use for use in your service.

Since I am not distributing a link "wherever possible", but only among 100% of interested people, it worries me - your message about what you are going to ban people, on whose referral links a lot of registrations but a small fraction of the hits links.

The system will identify me and the members of our community who registered, as cheaters and will ban our participation in the project?

And I'm worried if the guys will be banned, but decide to invest eth in project now on their accounts - since the ban - they will lose everything.

Sry for not good english, but  if u dont understand anything - lemme know. Ty for your reply!

Hi Peter!
I earn 9305 coins from promotions and hope that i will get my coins. Please be fair with the people, who give their time to give you traffic and promotion.

You must of missed this morning then? They wanted to pull the rug out from everyone that participated in the bounty program.

The only reason it's being paid now is the terrible publicity.

That's not quite a honorable beginning. It was worrying to say the least. I still haven't received my tokens - don't know if I will.
