Well, as a previous person said, it was a good run. Thanks for everything Gigavps! Now it's time to move to a different pool.

I hope you keep the back-end running long enough for all the current blocks to confirm and then you can clear our balances out.

Best of luck to you all.

UPDATE

Shutdown of mining servers is complete. I am rebuilding the database locally to be able to create the final shifts.

- All rewards for the most recent blocks will be recalculated once the shifts are created.
- All shares not in shifts will be counted as PPLNS.

This means that any current payment requests will be deleted and I will create a final payment for each of you. I will then move this data live and it can be reviewed before being paid.

Moved my Jupiter to another pool.  Much thanks for hosting this one giga, as others have said it had a good run.  I'm sure the reason for its closure is legit.

I had only been on a month or so.  But it was a great month.  Thank you very much.  You're a class act.

Any explanation why the pool has closed?

The only thing I know is the banner message on the pools stat screen :
Quote
A cascade of failures have crippled the pool. All stratum servers will go offline first thing in the morning. Final payouts will be made once the recent pool history is rebuilt.

One can specualte further based on that. But I suspect GigaVPS will enlighten us once the dust has settled.  Cool

Guys,

HHTT has lost a lot of power lately, which is sad, but if you all move your gear there you'd end up on a 100-120 TH/s pool which will run as smooth as Giga's one has been up to now.

I will say that HHTT has the best architecture of any pool around. You can check it out here -> http://hhtt.1209k.com/ha.php

It is a shame that it doesn't have more hashing power.

Will we get paid for our PPLNS shares or are those effectively worthless now?

Anyone know the answer to this? Really wishing I had it on PPS at this time Sad.

Not really. I haven't received any PPS credits for the past 24 hours: since it all went to hell. Hope It'll be made right but I'm in the same boat as you chaps.

A pool operator needs to mind the pool 24/7 and if they can't do that shit just goes down and once it starts it's hard to catch up. We need more mining pools. Even though I didn't use this one, sorry to see one go.

Yea, no PPS payment too. So lets hope we all get our rewards.

It took most of the day yesterday to get the final shifts created.

Once I redistribute rewards based on the final shifts, everyone will have their final balances and coins can be withdrawn.

Thanks for your patience.

Thank you sir.  Looking forward to it.  We all appreciate your hard work and efforts into making this a world class pool.  Sorry it did not work out
