I think they are useless. Instead of praying, what people s hould do is donate money, help rebuild damaged property, or do literally anything that would benefit those affected.

Don't pray to end cancer, donate! Even if God did exist, he doesn't care about helping your loved ones so unfortunately, the responsibility is on those who actually exist to make life awesome for everyone.

Good pick up line but I do not agree with you. Thoughts and prayers will be our guide and it can sometimes give you strength whenever you need. When you are tired, pray for some energy that can help you finish the day. I always do that. I realize that most of us are busy and there is no one that can help us if we are tired.
