Due to the recent finding of a vulnerability in the zerocoin protocol, it has to be temporarily disabled.

That's a nice thing to have. I hope such small steps will help attracting more users. I was quite shocked when I saw the hashrate is XXX kH/s. That's basically hundreds of PCs.
UPDATE: I calculated the hashrate based on my mining rewards and it seems it might be 2 MH/s. Not that bad

Community Call! Sigma or Zerocoin protocol?

Dear Community, as you all know, a bug has been found in the Zerocoin protocol that can not be fixed right now. For that reason we have already released an updated Wallet 1.0.1.1 and disabled the zerocoin funcionality.
But to remain a Privacy Coin we think that switch to SIGMA protocol is the best option (scalability, security, decreasing the on-chain size, remove the trusted set-up ). However we will not take such a decision without the community, so we ask you all: should we switch to SIGMA protocol?

Switching to SIGMA will be the right decision!
In the protocol Zerocoin for a long time there are problems, these problems in the library itself.
At one time, our team could not cope with them so further development was postponed.
I hope the new team integrates SIGMA and the coin will acquire a new attractive appearance.
