Bitcoin around the world, that's right. Bitcoin in the community, I do not think so. Actually there are still many people who do not know and understand using bitcoin. As for the store or restouran way of payment using bitcoin only in certain cities, and even not much. For me personally hope bitcoin can be more popular again, and there will be many stores that way of payment using bitcoin, because it will facilitate payment of bitcoin users.

Yes it is true only a few stores and in certain areas they receive a payment with bitcoin, because here I see if a shop receives bitcoin as payment may have available the means used to transact bitcoin which in this case is still limited to use the internet network. Perhaps this makes one of the important factors for popularizing the bitcoin in the community.

I called around some stores to see if they accept BTC, no one has even heard of it except like 0.1% of people.  Wait till people actually find out this exists...
Well, there are countries where bitcoin is still illegal, therefore bitcoin would not be known by others. There are countries where bitcoin is legal. There are limited establishments who accept bitcoins but most establishment is not familiar with it. Maybe if it become legal to most countries in the world, bitcoin will become popular and most establishments will accept bitcoin for payment or an exchange for services rendered.

Despite the fact that bitcoin does not exist for many years, many people have not even heard of it, so that people usually distrust every new development with distrust. It takes time for development.

Adoption would really depend if a certain country would let the informations would reach its citizens because there are countries which do blocks informations when regarding to bitcoin or either they do give only the negative things related to it on which it makes people to hesitate to engage with it. We would really love to see a place on which bitcoin payments would really be implemented.

Recognization is one of the key for merchants to accept bitcoin as mode of payment.

One good example is the legalization of Japan government in bitcoin after many years in the making. After the legalization of the said cryptocurrency, numbers of merchants who accepts bitcoin as one of their payment method really blooms in the country and hence give positive output from the market. Just imagined, in a country where bitcoin is just considered but not yet recognized, there are few merchants who accepts the deal of accepting it so how far more it will expand in a country where bitcoin is officially legal.

And this is our chance, people who have known and have little bitcoin like me. The reason is simple, if bitcoin later known to many people as well and accepted offline store as means of payment. At least we already have a better btc amount. And certainly when it's very high value.

do not close the possibility when it's been more understanding of the bitcoin I guess a country will join the growing and will raise the income of the country's area, But if the Government has already set up certainly will be no taxes for residents who generate bitcoin.

yeah many of the people right now didn't now what is cryptocurrency, bitcoin today is like 4000$ per piece the reason why almost all of the stores are not accepting it is the bitcoin is just starting, this is not the real price of it, it will increase in just a matter of time, and soon they will know about it all.

It is really hard to find real life stores that accept bitcoins, even if you live in strong rich country. Imo they don't accept bitcoins yet because people still wouldn't use them to pay, either because they don't want to or they don't know what it is.

This is different in online stores though, there are lots of online stores that accept bitcoins, some even ships products to whole world, so i am sure that you will find some local ones too.

Bitcoin is popular but not in the every corner of the world. It still needs to be recognised because bitcoin was never got advertised publicly on mass scale. It is being know to other people like us with the help of mouth to mouth marketing. However it also takes time and people should also believe in it as it is hard to digest something came out of nothing is worth thousands of dollars. The way bitcoin works is very futuristic and it will need time for people to understand about it.

Yes, some of peoples did not know about this kind of cryptocurrency. Even my family have no idea about bitcoin. For sure, some people know about bitcoin or this digital currency is teenagers or people who are a computer literate. It also take time to other people to understand it value just like we are doing we still digging more information about bitcoin so before they can fully understand bitcoin we need to gain more information of it before we can spread it to other people.

yep in my country also they don't even know what is bitcoin. some companies online accepting bitcoin as a payment but they're not investing in bitcoin they 're just using bitcoin as a payment method.but look bitcoin is now popular now because forbes featured it when bitcoin price reach $4000 barrier that's awesome about news they can make a thing more popular.
This is really the truth. It surprises me a lot that in my state I see no one talking about Bitcoin. I seem to be the only one that knows about Bitcoin, because when I mention, people look confused, and ask questions about it, which I try to explain. But still at the end, they end up not being interested. Some of them even forget the name. Though some states in my country has large numbers of Bitcoin users, but there is none where I leave.

Yes it is true. Bitcoin cryptocurrency and even Alternate Cryptocurrency are still cannot be recognize by other people even these are already been widely used worldwide. Maybe because other places around the globe does not yet have an access to it so people living around the vicinity do not even know its existence. There are some cases that due to the reason that it is not yet legalize on a certain place that is why bitcoin usage is abundant and do not been even advertise to let people know that it was existing.

Bitcoin is not yet legal in many countries so naturally if you still find people who do not know about bitcoin, bitcoin users are also mostly anonymous so before bitcoin is legal in many countries, then we would not be able to easily find stores that accept payments with bitcoins.

Problem is that people only know these currencies: USD, Euro and national currency, no one looks around to see bitcoin. It needs time to become known, maybe 50 year will be enough to be bitcoin known for 80% of people. There isn't as great community on bitcoin as bitcointalk, there are really huge amount of people but that would be absolutely higher if people knew bitcoin. Everyone needs a little help when starts bitcoin and also there is no other more informative way to learn basics and pros than bitcointalk.

In our place only if you are an internet geek , a social media enthusiast or investor most probably you know crypto currency.

Most governments and central banks have been pushing this line for years. A couple years ago, US Congressmen were calling for it to be banned. The European central bank warned the public against investing in cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin.

But now, things are changing. Even in the recent BTC-e indictment, the Department of Justice conceded that there are many legitimate uses for Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general. That type of concession would have been unheard of even 2-3 years ago. So I do think the narrative that we hear from governments is, and will be changing to a more positive tone emphasizing regulation.

Because it is not yet legal to most of the countries. And the legalization will be the way for the retailers to recognize what Bitcoin is. Or if it will be demanded by their customers. That's the advocacy of Bitcoin, which is to ebcourage more people, organizations and companies to invest, use and be one of the Bitcoin community to make its demand higher. If we will be able to encourage more people, it will be more popular to the market.

It's not about that. With grey markets, there are always entrepreneurs who are willing to test the law in order to gain the first mover advantage. We've seen that in the cryptocurrency markets to a large extent. There are bitcoin/crypto services that offer service to all countries.

At this point, it's still a matter of gaining mainstream confidence. For years, governments and central banks have been discouraging people from investing in cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. Only recently are we starting to see mainstream acceptance. And that's what the average joe wants to see -- mainstream acceptance.
