I have come to realize in recent time that holding bitcoin in ones wallet is more profitable and a little bit risk free as compared to trading altcoin or what do you think ?
I think both are very profitable, now is the right time to buy altcoin, because altcoin prices are falling due to the rising bitcoin prices soaring tough hardfork the umpteenth time. so if you save bitcoin from last month this is when its profits are in can, and if not have altcoin then this time is the right time to buy altcoin at cheap price. |

Some one said that BTC will short and altcoins will get many more attractions and gain faster than btc if we are on that situation go for trading altcoins and can get a living with that.

If you know every market move. You will earn more here because you can not earn 10% daily. The average altcoins increase is infinite and that can happen in just one day. If you buy altcoins with potentially the same thing will happen. You will definitely be an instant millionaire right away. But trading requires a lot of studies because it may take only a few minutes to part your bitcoins
First, you cannot know every market move, you can only predict a pattern and as much as you think altcoins can be profitable, if you have no idea of what you are doing, you can easily lose everything. Like you said, and I totally agree with you, trading requires a lot of study and some experience, it gets to a point that you just have to make some quick decisions and just the studying of chart will not help you. Only prediction we can do for , so for me both are profitable to but as we always know that trading is risky all you gonna do is to have an experience on trading then always study on what would be the best move on trading for some new in trading because this is not easily to understand while studying you are in trading for you to easily understand. |

When you just hold bitcoin, there is smaller risk of losing because you will just depend on bitcoin's price whether increasing or decreasing and since there is higher possibility of it increasing in due time then you would be profitable. The risk is if your wallet will be hacked and your coins will be stolen while when you are trading altcoins, there is higher risk but higher rewards as well because you can double the amount of your bitcoin in just hours, days or weeks iif you know what to do. For me, trading is more profitable than holding because in holding the amount is fix and the value increase while in trading though there is risk of losing more, when you are profitable then you have higher profits because the amount of your bitcoin increase and the value increase as well. |

the more profit able is trading altcoin with bitcoin, because if you have bitcoin and trading altcoin when bitcoin rising up like this time you will get double profit |

One thing we all know very well and that is the market price of bitcoin will rise most of the times no matter what the circumstances are, so it is better to play safe instead of trading. You just need to remain patient and you will get a very good amount at the end. |

If you know nothing then yeaaa it has bigger risk to trade altcoin considering the volatility almost unpredictable. At least when you have several basic skills to analyze which one altcoin that gives you a reasonable choice , i mean not something that too good to be true. As nowadays there is a lot of shitcoins popping up. Better to hold your most bitcoin if you still in the learning phase. |

If a person holding bitcoin don't have guts to face trading and really don't have an idea about what is this all about, then it's not wrong to just hold it instead. Although they can earned more by doing trading, the risks is being minimized if a person will just hold. But don't ever stuck to the same idea. Try other opportunities and make way to learn it. |

They are both good. You can trade altcoins for bitcoin while the price of bitcoin keep increasing. Bitcoin is better for holding in a long term, cause it always yield profit and it helps the altcoins to survive. So, they are both good. |

Trading altcoin is more profitable but it's very very riskier and it's a short term and holding bitcoin is long term and less riskier and profitability only comes in when the prices rise and is more than the bought up value. I feel trading altcoins along with bitcoin is better in terms of profitability. |

Both are risky
However alt coins have way more room for growth.
Imagine each one of these alt coins having the possibility of becoming the next bitcoin.
The top 10 alt coins have billions of market cap for gods sake.

When you talk of profitability as far as I believe trading in more profitable as compared to holding altcoins, although there are a lot of challenges when it comes to trading in crypto currency. It Is easy and more profitable for those who are good in trading crypto currency and very risky for those who don't know how to trade. But I will like to recommend holding Bitcoin for those who don't know how to trade and trading for those who how to trade crypto currency.
