To me It is a little not clear on the information which spread, that the etherium already give still the same plug as Bitcoin. Although Bitcoin in November is about to be another bifurcation. It seems to me that today the crypto currency is a little stormy and it's unclear what to expect in the near future.

For me ETH is good coin for holding longterm because in fundamental is good than others. But for day trading i will sell ETH when any bad news and the price of BTC bullish run.

Ethereum had too many bugs in the past. And every now and then, they fork the coin. And moreover, many of the Ether devs looks like shady characters, including Vitalik Buterin. If you compare Ethereum with Bitcoin, I would say that the former is not as reliable as the latter. 

I would suggest selling ETH before its price goes too down that you may bear a huge loss for it. And buy BTCs as much as you can when their prices are low so that you can be on safer side. You may sell BTCs when their prices are too high. This is the only way you can survive in the digital market. ETH is not a favorable option for anyone.

You have rightly said but I think holding of ETH for quite a longer time will not be a suitable idea. There is no doubt in it that at present, ETH price is very much high but you never know what will happen in the very next moment. You need to make a sensible decision right now so that you may not regret in the near future.

I have to disagree with you , eth still promising and a good place to invest your cash in.
My prediction it will has a value half of bitcoin at least.
And as time goes by a lot of project involve ethereum chain will keep growing , and the value will of course follows.

From what I can see, the exchange rates for Ethereum has come down from BTC0.145 to just around BTC0.0696 in a matter of few months. In general, the trend is downward. Even now, I have a feeling that Ethereum is overpriced. When you compare Bitcoin's user base and the number of places accepting it as a currency with that of ETH, you can notice the huge gap between the two currencies. But no such gap exists between the market cap of these two coins.

Eth is already going through some hard time and people are dumping their coins damn fast. There is no guarantee that even eth will be existing after two or three years. No need to waste time on this shitty coin. Just make sure you are investing wisely into bitcoin and your wallet is never empty.

If I have ETH in my wallet, I would sell it when its price going up. The price of ETH is more slowly increasing than BTC. Much better to sell if both BTC and ETH would reach a higher price to double the value of bitcoin. But, if you really needed money, you would sell it no doubt.

You are very much right. There is no point of selling ETH right now when the prices are very much low. But I think you can’t hold ETH for quite long, it will give you nothing but a small amount of profit only. You should sell it as early as possible but obviously when the prices are little higher than they are now.

I am still waiting for bitcoin price stable, when bitcoin prices were stable at a high rate, and ETH will follow it, at least I could sell ETH when the prices back touching above 0.1BTC. at least it could be achieved in this year-end, let's wait and see

Yes, and in trading you must have a target price to sell. And this target price is of course, you have a profit. Just observe the market movement and some updates on the development of the project so that you might have idea when to hold and when to sell.

For me if you see a good profit at  the current value of eth much better to sell it because for now fluctuation of value in block market is very active. Our goal in trading is to earn profit that is why when you see profit do not think twice to sell your hold coins.

Hi all,

1 month before segwit I sold my BTC for ethereums and was sure that it will grows as fast as btc. It was not smart decision I know.

But now I see that it is ±300$ all the time when bitcoin is close to 4300$... I regret that didn't sold my eth for btc once segwit happened...

But I hope that 4300$ is not maximum of bitcoin price in this year so I am planning to sell my ethereums. But I don't know when to do that. I feel bitcoin correction in near time so maybe it is better to wait a bit? But I am not sure about eth price in near time.

I think next 5 years is the best time to sell our eth and btc. I know that time the price is really high.

And what will happen in the next 5 years after that 5 years you just mentioned ? You think it would stay the same ? What I always do anyway is to put my bitcoin to work and pay my self at the end of every month a certain % of it and add the remaining to the initial ones to start working again. With this I am saving for the future and at thesame time paying bills.

Happy you criticized your decisions first. Sometimes we make huge mistakes, no one hasn't. Nevertheless, the good thing about crypto market is that if you are not rushing, you can still try to hold for long. Market will bounce back, and you can sell for profit again. Just be on the watch out, read news and hold for the meantime.
