Yeah their faucet was getting abused for many years. I even remember people were bragging in the public chat how they had multiple accounts, were basically taking low odd rolls and would withdraw as soon as the min withdraw was reached. But since it was only a small percentage of people that only did that, it didn't affect their revenue.

I know that in 2017, when the crypto boom came and bitcoin reached $20K, then faucet abuse was increased 10 fold and they finally started to lower the faucet payout amount and then later they eliminated it completely. I think a bunch of newcomers ruined it for everybody.

The OP was edited late last year and still says about a 113 BTC Jackpot however today I learned from PrimeDice support that the Jackpot promotion has been ENDED! Wow, such a long standing promotion coming to an abrupt end. It had come to be worth millions so I guess the founders decided to invest it somewhere probably rather than keep this money idle just in case someone wins it.



If you go to this link, the jackpot info module is still visible, it's just a nostalgic relic now though.

That's likely another record by prime dice that will probably remain unmatched for a long time or perhaps even forever in the crypto space.

It is true, but not all players know how to use it and since the minimum bet to qualify for the jackpot is not small enough so I think that players will not use bot although they know how to use it.
Anyway, it has been removed already and I guess there is no one who have ever hit it since PD added the jackpot few years ago.

None of the changes of Primedice comes with any announcement. At first, they discontinued the VIP challenges on the forum, then the discontinued the regular challenges after a few months. Eventually, they had closed the Primedice forum. Now the Jackpot has been disabled as well. The only good thing is the readable chat messages on Primedice with a small number of active users .

Will they use the jackpot funds to be allocated in some new promotions later?

I think they will spend the money on Stake Birthday, which is on the next month . BTW, they run challenges on their telegram channel (Primedice - Creators of Dicing) regularly.

Also most of PD marketing channels have quietly ceased posting. Facebook, Twitter, Reddit etc. although all are linked through the site. Only Telegram and here remain active.
But I think Prime Dice is still a little better than Stake for simple waggers because of the daily race. Stake also has a race but it's among all games so it's very hard to rank. This is one of the redeeming qualities. But without the jackpot it's one less major feature that made PD stand out among all gambling sites.

Now one of the biggest potential rewards in crypto is gone. Sad, but still as a dice site it's one with the highest limits. If someone could do the math it'd be nice seeing if it's more worth than stake.com. The race might actually earn you similar amounts than Stake rake back and VIP bonuses for certain wager levels. Anyway, I just noticed it today that Primedice team have reduced the daily race prize pool. It used to be $1k in the past, they had increased it to $3k a few months ago. Now they have reduced it to $500 only .

Looks like these changes (reduction of race prize and removal of jackpot) have been made on the 2nd week of May month (before Primedice birthday). During that time, 'Symphonized' posted about the jackpot model of Primedice for the last time. No more expectations from Primedice .

The most possible reason why they keep reducing the daily race prize pool is due to the average wager activity by players.
I guess the number of wagered amount at Primedice is getting lower from time to time and if they do not reduce the prize pool, it wont be profitable for them

It seems so, I think they should start to consider "account transfer" from Primedice to Stake especially for those who have not created Stake's account.
For those PD's users who have already created Stake account, maybe adding the stats from the PD account to Stake account would be better.
At least this feature can be considered as a appreciation to those players who is still loyal to Primedice since Stake was born.
Otherwise, they may lose these loyal players and maybe only some percent of them who will be willing to move to stake without account transfer.

Almost every player of Primedice has already moved to Stake. And some users have completely taken a break from Primedice for their decisions of bonus reduction. The account transfer won't happen from Primedice to Stake. Anyway, I found it unnecessary to discuss about Primedice related things. They don't even consider the feedbacks of the user from their chat. So, they won't listen to our words while they have abandoned this thread.
