Taking into account how BTC is trending right now, the amount these guys wagered with yesterday was insane but at least they got lucky and did not lose. Though still I'm not sure I can be this generous with my one-at-a-time bets...I suppose this won't be problem had I not had to worry about how much I lose This is not even a big surprise as prime dice always attracts huge rollers all the time, even when the price of BTCitcoin was hovering at an all time high valuation you would see hundreds of coins waged. And to give a sneak peak of the past These are two rollers one is wagging 40 BTC taken on February 2017 and one lost 100 BTC January 2017 in a matter of minutes, i have a ton of screen captures i took while i was very much active and was rolling heavily and these are my memories and a curse as i too lost a ton of coins during that period . It was fun while it lasted and happy to see changes and new players.

I've played on a good variety of dice sites, e.g. Luckydice, Primedice, Mintdice, Just-dice etc, and I have never seen numbers like that. I can only imagine the smile on the casino owners face that day (unless of course they came out net positive, then OUCH!) Are there any similar high rollers still going to this day?

PD is one of the casino to have this kind of wagers, I haven't seen some of them in the past. Let's not compare the prices but just stick to the BTC= BTC comparison. I'm wondering how those guys are doing right now.

Certainly primedice was the first if not the largest of wagered amounts in total with being run for so long by Stunna. Now they have their partner site with a sportsbook w/ special event bets available such as the political race and all the categories in the upcoming oscars. I made a thread about it and wanted to have this offer available open to you all so to give primedice players the opportunity to try out the site if they have not thought it would be for them. Giveaway of some bitcoin and 0.01btc trivia before and at the end of the occasion on Sunday.https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5223732.msg53787440#msg53787440See some new prop bettors there.

Sure everyone was having a good time during those time, not sure how the wagging goes but still we have new competition to make things interesting. Let's not compare the prices but just stick to the BTC= BTC comparison. I'm wondering how those guys are doing right now. I knew a few high rollers and they lost over 400 BTC during that period and they had a good stash because they mined when it was easier to mine during the early days. Everyone knew the risk and it was fun for them and majority cashed out when the price went to the moon during the last rally.

These races that you guys do are really good but have you considered other ways to keep your players entertained? Like this strategy whereby players unlock new challenges with every level they attain, and the higher the level the bigger the challenge and rewards also. This is something Luckydice is using and in my opinion this is mega fun as it keeps us players totally hooked to the game just so we can get that extra star or whatever?

Honestly primedice was the OG off-chain place with just*dice and with justdice moving to other coins and so forth it became the only one for a long time. That made sure they got all of the customers in the whole dice world for a long time and even after other websites started to pop up, primedice literally kept going without any issues because they were both legit and people always knew they could trust primedice but also they were doing plenty of promotions and contests and so forth which kept things interesting. It is not a shock that a website that is as old as it gets in crypto gambling world also has people who loves primedice but also is an early bird investor to bitcoin so they are fine with spending a ton of bitcoins thanks to their greatly paid investment.

I always feel some sort of pleasure whenever I get back here. Signed up back in 2015, been off PrimeDice for about two years.. coming back 5 years after my registration and still finding most of the people I used to talk to in the chat is amazing. They've done an extraordinary job at keeping their customers loyal to the website. I used to spend all day long just betting and chatting with others.. back in 2015 we had people tipping an entire Bitcoin to other users, or rainbot tipping 20k coins to each user.. it was amazing, I don't think I'll ever see those 10-20BTC bets in the high rolls again. Gold times.

Though still I'm not sure I can be this generous with my one-at-a-time bets...I suppose this won't be problem had I not had to worry about how much I lose Truely there are whales who are willing to deposit and lose a big amount of bitcoin even when it is going up. Like for those who have coins in store and want to play now that they have time they would not even bother looking at the price of bitcoin but making more so they can sell at a good profit in bigger volume and probably make up a past loss. Now these may be specific cases but for the occasional gambler seeing bitcoin price rise should raise a conservative approach concept. They would want to hold on to their btc to trade than gamble. We haven't noticed huge difference in wagered when price is going up or down. People dont seem to think much about the price when gambling. We only notice difference when its huge jump in price in very short time.

It's FULL GREEN HOUSE for our High Rollers at the moment The high roller's list looks as expected! All green, all profit as you'd anticipate from both sides, the platform and the player's side. Given the popularity of the website in my opinion only privileged players get to roll in such high volumes, and even better for them too that they keep on stacking up ...

We will definitely see 10-20 btc high rolls, we probably even do right now, it is just not as common as it used to be because nowadays when you wager 10 bitcoin it is about 100k versus back in the day when it was less than 1 thousand dollars to do that.
However, when it comes down to regular fiat currency, if you check how much is gambled I am pretty sure the amount is either the same or even higher nowadays, dollar wise people still bet a lot and it still continues strong without a drop even tho now they have another website with bunch of other games in it. Primedice probably also made thousands of bitcoins in profits when bitcoin was low and if they kept it (which I assume they did) all those profits that were thousands of dollars became millions of dollars today.

Not because I am against gambling or anything (lol I love it) but I can't imagine how much money they have to have that they would be sparring this much on gambling. I realize that people do not play this much amount every bet, they probably bet hundreds and maybe thousands of times to make this much money, that is understandable, yet still they are risking a lot of money and not only I do not have money big enough to spare this much, I literally don't have THIS MUCH in total. Like even if I wanted to, I can't spend ALL my money and reach the top gambler for example, literally all my money turned into bitcoin and gambled on primedice wouldn't reach this high before I run out of money to gamble.

We may not be these high rollers and never see ourselves in their shoes but the reality is that people gamble this much all around the world all the time.
It could be on primedice or any other crypto gambling casino, it could be regular fiat gambling on online places like how poker players on places like pokerstars could literally have million dollar pots if you check youtube there is evidence of that, or it could be just regular casinos where whales goes to Las Vegas or somewhere else and spend millions of dollars a night to have fun. That has always been the case ever since casinos were started, people literally lost all of their money back in roman empire times with dice games, it is not a wonder that people would flock to biggest dice game of crypto industry and spend prodigious amount of money gambling.

If that guy thought of the importance of the current value, he'll feel sorry about that loss. But if that's how he got it, he's not going to feel any regret of gambling it. And he's prepared for the consequence or any result of it.

@redsun114 there’s no need for comparison between those whales and us, as we wager as per our capacity and I have always got the thrill whenever I see such big bets being wagered, also I feel that we should not feel bad that we can’t wager like they do and instead find happiness in the small wagers that we’re able to do. Furthermore I don’t think whales would like to play much at land based casinos because of KYC regulations, whereas they can play anonymously at crypto based casinos and withdraw without any hassles.
