I didn't get paid on the last 0.005 BTC FB giveaway, though I commented and liked the page just after Stunna had said there were more slots available since there had been duplicates. And I got no hint as to why I hadn't been paid!

Once I was underpaid for my signature, but Stunna paid me just after I wrote to him. And now things are taking a nervy turn...

I moved this from the launch thread because I feel it's not totally related to the launch. I'm  not trying to make accusations or tell some of the responses I've gotten that they are flat out wrong, but this is my argument over my recent bet on Primedice that dooglus brought to my attention:

I'm assuming someone who was pentesting found a big problem? at least it was found before the site was made public I suppose.

I found a big problem in PD2 last night - the ">99.99" and "<0.01" games turn out to have had a 50.5% house edge all along, not 1% as was advertised. I saw one guy posting his results, he was playing the 0.01% game over and over, rolled in the top 0.01% of possible rolls, but was awarded a loss, not a win. It appears that you only have a 0.005% chance of winning the 0.01% game, so the payout is only half what it should be to give a 1% edge.

I don't know if that's related to the delay in the launch of PD3 or not, since I don't know whether the same problem exists in PD3.

The digits behind the XX.XX are rounded so 99.992 would still be 99.99 and thus not a winner.

The issue is more about the 1% house edge and how it is treated along with the rounding on 9900x bet. On the primedice website, this forum, and other places, primedice advertises a low 1% house edge. Everyone should be given that offer of a 1% house edge on all bets they are allowed to make on their website, regardless of the payout. If I can make a bet with a 9900x payout without it stopping me, why should that bet be discriminated against compared to a bet of 1.01202x, 1.5x, 2x, 3x, 10x, etc... As dooglus has explained pretty well, if a bet at 9900x is to have the advertised 1% house edge, any roll over 99.9899 would be considered a win. You can see this on other dice sites that offer a 1% house edge, check justDice or dicebitco.in. Put a 9900x bet in those websites and you'll see with the 1% edge you would only have to roll over 99.9899 for a win. My bet I made the other night on primedice meets this 1% house edge criteria and I would of won the bet on those websites. But because of the rounding, my roll of 99.99216 on the 9900x  was rounded down for a loss instead of a win. In order for me to of won, I would of had to roll a 99.995 or higher, which as pointed out is now a 1 in 20,000 chance instead of the expected 1 in 10,000 chance that is advertised. The house edge is over 50% now with that bet instead of 1% as advertised.

I contacted support last night and got a quick response, thank you, but pd support said all bets are treated the same when it comes to rounding to the two decimals, just as my roll of 99.99216 was rounded to 99.99, the same would happen if I rolled a 99.995 it would round up to 100. I have responded with the fact of the advertised 1% house edge is not present in the case of my 9900x bet, but there was a 50% house edge. If in fact it was a true 1% edge, then my roll 100% definitely met the criteria for a win. I have not heard a response, but hope for one soon, but I understand the whole PD team must be very busy with the current launch of PD3.

Filtering those account take some time, Stunna have to filter out one by one then credit them. Crediting them should take sometime too. There is a lot of accounts to filter so Stunna do need extra time. I don't think people should complain especially when you are taking free money.

PD actually tells you as you're playing that you have a 0.01% chance of winning the 9900x payout:



The "provably fair" algorithm rounding 99.992 down to 99.990 clearly isn't fair. It results in you having only a 0.005% chance of winning.

It turns out that all bets are affected by this bug to various extents; even the 49.5% bet only has a 49.495% chance of winning, meaning the house edge on that bet is 1.01%, not 1% as advertised.

I just got a response back from support after I replied to their initial response last night. They said it will be sorted out after launch. I imagine they are all very busy and need to focus on the launch before coming to a concise conclusion on a delicate subject. It's understandable, I am a patient person, and believe all will be well.

I was playing 9900x, >99.99, .01000% Win Chance, with 10ksat bets. Like most of my other bets I made around that time. If you could check the database of my bets, user ID is 1362237, you can see I was going for 9900x for sometime before that and after that. I'm not sure why it shows that, for some reason I want to say that I've seen it in the past or someone brought it up in chat when I first started gambling on PD that with the rounding, if the roll rounds to exactly on the roll you are trying to roll over, it messes up the bet history display.

I checked my browser history, and I found the links I showed in chat soon after: https://imgur.com/VJQiA8b   and  https://imgur.com/S5tM7nu. You can look at the chat history to see those links as well and the times they were posted, not sure if you can see the times they were uploaded through imgur or not. On this thread, I used these images: https://imgur.com/a/AYXfi. You can see my bets were for >99.99 for a bit before and after the 99.99216 roll in several of the pictures, and you could even check the betid of every single one of those bets to see that they were indeed all for >99.99. You can also check the times I made the bets, showing that I was doing 10k bets twice a minute for every 20k I got. Wish I had something else I could possibly give you to help with the issue. I don't have any clipboard managers and I saved them though mspaint after editing them to post on chat or the forum. Not sure how I could get the original images.

Weird rounding error that we had never picked up on before. This is definitely sorted out in PD3. Will fix the issue with your case over email soon.

Nah, I doubt it will be retroactive as it was to stop people abusing it with new accounts or alts. I'm sure there will be more giveaways announced soon so best get that activity up by contributing in the meantime.
