One small question: To make a backup of my wallet I would normally save the wallet.dat but it seems to be different with this coin?
When I "backup wallet" from the GUI wallet it saves one "filename".wallet file. Is this simply due to a somewhat different design than other coins?
Intense is a CryptoNote coin, similar to Monero, Bytecoin, Electroneum etc. They all work with .wallet files, that's the one you normally back up. I'm not sure why the backup feature makes smaller .wallet files though, interested in this as well. Oh. Well that makes sense! I have been mining a bit of SUMOKOIN and Electroneum as well but haven't been able to make actual file backup of wallet. Paper-wallet for ETN and mnemonic seed for SUMO. I didn't know that wallet files for CryptoNight differed in that way. thx for the info :-) Almost every coin uses a .wallet file. It really has nothing to do with the algorithm. ETN is kind of weird in the sense that they didn't really come out publically with a wallet (but there is one on their github that works). In the case of Sumokoin it sounds like you might be using https://wallet.sumokoin.com/ instead of the wallet installed on your computer.

I had an old bitcoin wallet and was stupid enough to only backup the *.wallet file, later to learn that it was useless without wallet.dat. Stupid me In the case of SUMOkoin I still cannot find any wallet.dat or "filename".wallet for that matter.. The current GUIwallet does include a passphrase to be able to load. But I loaded it up with my mnemonic seed initially.

Heya guys, been lurking for some time, but finally time to start writing I guess The project looks quite good and I am willing to put some hashes in it, plus the price of the coin seems to have a great potential to rise quite a bit once in a few other exchanges, hoping for news on this soon On to the point - been mining the coin for couple of days in official pool and switched today to hashvault but seem to have some stability issues and the interface switch today also bugged me up a bit, can anyone recommend a decent populated EU pool, I have about 4-7KH to put in good use.

I for one haven't tried the other Intense pools. I always mined in the dev's pool. http://intensecoin.com/pool/I like that it has a big portion of the network hash rate, which means it always find blocks and the payouts are consistent. I know many Intense pools are being setup right now so you may also want to check those.

I'll be waiting for the distribution of the signature campaign, some generous people will sell at any price. Same. Not much of a HODLer myself, but this is basically a no-brainer, up to 200k ITNS hit the (small) market within a day or two, just gotta figure out where the bottom is and get some of those cheap coins.

So am I right that there's no mnemonic seed as a backup option for ITNS? I was gonna print a paper wallet with the seedwords for all my wallets. Hoped to put ITNS on it.

Yep, you need to backup the file it seems. There's no direct output/ access for the private key in any form. Certainly something the developers should improve.

I think some other major pool had some trouble and people jumped to intense as alternative. But yep, my payout has heavily reduced too.

I always watch the other two VPN-based projects, MYST and PRIX. Whatever the market values them, I think there is high probability that the market will do the same to INTENSE. If Intense devs make a better product and deliver first, they will surpass those two even though they were the first to do an ICO.

I'm glad to see how the coin grows. Most recently I saw how this topic appeared, launched a farm to extract a new coin, was glad that it was put on the stock exchange, and now it is ready to fly to the moon.

If Intense devs make a better product and deliver first, they will surpass those two even though they were the first to do an ICO. I didn't know about the two other projects in the same scope. Interesting! I just looked into IntenseCoin because it was one of the few concepts I read about that really could work... there actually a real service (VPN) or product could drive the thing... not just some marketing hype. People are looking more and more into privacy solutions, so there definitely is already proven demand here... and combining the VPN with crypto-driven payment exchange for VPN node providers certainly could work. Of course it also all depends on how good the actual IntenseCoinVPN product (application, etc.) will be. Well... we'll see hopefully this year. One thing the developers certainly need to improve on is reaction speeds for reported issues, IMHO (there's still an outdated/ no-longer compatible CLI "daemon" distributed for Mac OS X on the official website, f.ex. — might be a hurdle for new Mac users... I know for a fact that I wasn't the only one who didn't manage to sync the blockchain with the outdated client ).

Hi DEV team, im in Intensecoin for a long time and never tried before to sent some coins to the stockexchenge. Now when I done that, I tried to send 1000, and fee need to be 0,01 ITNS, why wallet take from me 20 ITNS??!, that is 2% of transfer amount, not 0.01 ITNS as there writte. Also I have one more question, how many confirmations need to be done before transaction? Here is picture of transaction. https://imgur.com/a/fb5DUBest regards.
