Well i have the wallet issue too ... i never worried cuz i close and reopen and works fine .... hope is not going to be worse ... and probably we need to address this sooner than later . Grin

Finally a good pool http://digicoinpool.com/ ->after going thru 4 or 5 bad managed or scam pools.  Shocked

No man is wise enough, nor good enough to be trusted with unlimited power

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

I just keep the wallet closed until I want to accept my miner earnings, then close it again.  I don't have to do this with any other wallet, but it's a minor annoyance is all. I won't be forwarding a port, btw, personal choice.

If you are looking for a pool; Server next.afraid.org:8119 still there and fully reliable since the first day.

I use this server (http://next.afraid.org:8119), and everything is fine there. A good choice.

I'm still here: http://next.afraid.org:8119, this one is solid and efficient with a low dead on arrival... When we have a good pool, it's  important to support it. And continue to have the expected payout.

could use some more hashrate at mine, http://digitalcoin.scryptmining.com , but I digress.  Look forward to the future of this coin regardless of whether my pool ever picks up the pace. Great work by dev and everyone else who's been so involved  from the start.

Profit-Switching Pool w/ Vardiff -> http://hashco.ws  Optionally keep the alts we mine or auto-trade for BTC. In addition can be paid out in any of: 365, AC, BC,  BTC, C2, CINNI, COMM, FAC, HBN, MINT, PMC, QRK, RDD, WC, XBC

This one is fine, my rigs has worked a while on this server without any issue.

Don't forget the missing digitalcoin icon, and the missing obj directory that stop the client compiling out of the box.

Also the IRC and boot nodes are disabled in the source code so when I compiled the linux client yesterday, it just sat there for hours on end with no peers. It either needs those re-enabled, or the README needs to be updated to instruct people to use addnode with some recommended IP's.

Any idea why DGC is being dumped on Cryptsy when WDC and GCD are both rising? DGC is technically are more valuable coin than either of those due to the lower number of DGC being produced and in circulation.

Is this some kind of price manipulation?

there is a huge lack of buy orders and alot of miners dumping there gains.  Coin aint going to make you rich overnight Tongue Give it some time to build momentum.  It's still in it's infancy.

I realize that, but WDC and GLD are both very new as well and their price is rising, they have buyers, that's why I asked.

Is DGC cpu-only?

I wouldn't mine it on a CPU, too slow, use an ATI GPU if you can.

WDC has greater community support. Hence why the WDC hashrate is much higher.

This is what happened when altcoins get on the exchange with low diff.  People mined the heck out of them and dumped them as fast as they can mine them.  Being on Cryptsy doesn't help either.  Cryptsy is not an exchange.  It's a trading platform for miners to dump their coins.

DGC and WDC are the only two altcoins I actually bought and hold even with 5MH mining rigs.  I will continue to add on with every dip in both DGC and WDC.

Looks like the low price this morning was just a few guys overnight selling tiny numbers of coins at the wrong price

I put just a bit of buy volume into it this morning and the price is right back around .0002

True value is likely .001 so speculators are getting in at a bargain level

Is anybody working on the paperwallet for DGC? If so I would like to contribute, if not then I would like to get started?
