I am meeting up tonite in Gading Serpong with a GPU Mining Farm owner to discuss the development of the K16 and K256 in the Indonesian market. I will post some news about this tomorrow depending on what we decide to do to move forward. Nice to get a chance to meet up with others in Bitcoin here in Jakarta. Of forgot to add we are now looking at a chip group buy for Indonesia. Possibly pledged 3000 to 4000 chips already. I will post more later as I get more info from everyone involved. Those outside Indonesia are also welcome to chip in once we are ready.

Met with an interesting GPU Farmer here in Jakarta last night. Interesting discussion and looks like we are going to push forward with a small group of investors possibly to get 10,000 chips. PM me if you are interested in a chip group buy tied with board production.

The K1 boards are sitting in Bkk now but it will be a couple days before I can get in there to pick them up. I have about 6 packages waiting for me.

In the meantime, I do have the Klondike firmware running in the PIC chip now and it pushes work and manages a work queue up to 4 units. All of the protocol cmds seem to be working fine with my test app. I can send it work, multiple units push after each one is done, abort work, check status, send new config and enable/disable.

I'm working a bit on the temperature / fan control now. That isn't used in the K1 except maybe for thermal shutdown, but it's needed for the K16.

Indonesia - quick costs more than other locations no customs charges

Meaning it would cost you ~$88 per k16 and ~$25 per k1 if the chips were customer provided, and then ud add your margin, shipping and handling, etc on top of that?

Yup... if it is a small run which is all I can afford.

Larger runs would be much more cost effective. I have not put that pricing up as I will probably only be able to do 100 boards max.

For the Indonesian market I am including the chips... which is not reflected in the price. I might be interested in others shipping chips to me to lower the costs if I can get up to 1000 boards that be possible. But I need to get the chips at the same time as my first batch arrives for an August run or when I do the first production runs for Indonesian buyers in September. I am definitely going to guinea pig my 540 chips first to work out as many kinks as possible and see what SMT Indonesia can do.

September... or October is my best guess. Ordering 128 chips now for that small run. Possibly more will be available in November or December and more likely to be K1's mostly.

We are working with Big Picture Mining Cooperative in a large production run possibly starting in July/August. Sales will be local and world wide. As a result this thread and the site will be closed and new thread for the Big Picture Mining Cooperative and website will be started.
