Have anyone had any network problems with the card? Thinking about the onboard nic from Intel. Am having troubles with download speed, it's nowhere near my isp limit, and i've tried other computers on the same network, router and cable. Installed a standalone nic from Intel, and right away i got correct speeds. Anyone got any clue? Defect onboard nic?
Have you tried testing transfer speeds from integrated NIC to some other PC on same network? It could be driver problem or just some settings in driver. I had that kind of problem on some other boards, usually correct drivers solved the problem. Also keep in mind that cable cannot be tested without instrument, I had cables that were problematic and sometimes keep loosing packages so speed dropped a lot due to re-transmit of packages. That same cable have been tested with instrument and sometimes it had 8 pin connection and sometimes didn't. I've used iperf to test between two computers on the same network yes, and the download performance is very bad. I've also tested windows with different drivers, and linux, but still the same problem. On the B250, only thing giving me the correct download speed at the moment is the standalone nic i plugged in. The onboard gives bad download speed in every scenario i've tried it in so far, only thing i can think of at this moment is hardware issue :/

I personally wouldn't bother with that for the moment, just use some USB-LAN adapter. You can always RMA the board before the warranty period expires.
At this moment it's just to much trouble to waste time on this if crucial functions are still working on the board and mining is operational.

I went with wood, currently holding 4x 1080ti & 4x 1070. I have 4 AMD cards en route, and 3 more nvidia ti's here. I'm having second thoughts about adding AMD to the mix, but we'll see how the config goes. I'm 2 weeks in with 8 cards, plug and play, except that I had to plug all 8 Nvidia into the bottom pcie slots as someone around here suggested. It's 36" long overall with a 35" bronze closet bar (Lowes) to bolt the cards to, a wood rod for riser support, oak plywood, and a metal mobo tray. I'll add 2 more cross beams under the oak plywood and a few more screws to transport it. http://comp49.com/asus.jpghttp://comp49.com/asus2.jpgMark off your first 8' 1x2: 36", 2x 7", 2x 11", 2x 11.75", approx no waste. Mark next 8' 1x2: 36", 2x 12.5", and you're left with ~35" piece for under risers. Wood cost $3, oak plywood $6, closet bar $4. You need 1 1/4" screws and I paid $1 for the wood rod. If I did it again I would actually use wood glue instead of staring at the bottle the whole time. Metal would be better, but this took me 2 hours max.

I think with regular vacuuming it should not be necessary to wash the rig down (which would have been the main advantage going for a metal structure). Working with wood just seems easier. Will have to take a look.

Anyone using usb wifi on this rig? I mined with 1 gpu without problem.
Mining with 7 or 13 fpu causes socket closed error messages. Could this be usb wifi related?

use an usb extension cable Thanks. Will try that. Here is the first rig, building two more. 13x radeon 570 nitro+ 2x evga g2 1600w Pentium g4560 4gb ram https://i.imgur.com/x9epDER.jpg

Here is the first rig, building two more. Nice rig! How did you come up with the dimension for this one? I mean, the GPUs are fixed with only one screw (which not really retains it in place) on the upper beam, and the weight is just sitting on the lower beam? How does cooling work out this way? Needs additional fans, no?

The riser also have one screw. I havent got it working yet. Getting a lot of errors suddenly. Worked fine with 1gpu. Will try to extend the ub wifi dongle. Or else i have to usa network cable :/

Instead of upper wooden bar I would use flat metal, that way you can allow hot air to go freely out from the card and also you can make threads fro screws. This way hot air exhaust is blocked by wood and once you unscrew card you cannot put it back in the same place because wood is very soft material.
Still it looks nice and its working for you and that's most important for the moment.

Hi. Thanks. The exhaust is not blocked. There is a 1.5cm gap between wood and exhaust

use an usb extension cable That did the trick. The error messages is gone. But the miner (claymore dual eth+dcr in nicehash) keeeps closing mining window and starts again. Hmmm.

I'm using the mining status software, where they list "working" on the cards to the left. I suppose it reboots if a card fails, but I've not had to do that yet. I mainly use it for the card status.

I have this board and was running 6 gtx1070's with claymore. Decided to add more GPU's. I am running Win10. I was told I could only run 8 invidia & 8 AMD. So I purchased 3 RX580's. Now the Bios sees all the GPU's but Windows only recognizes 5 of the 1070's. Any help would be appreciated.

FYI I Fixed It!!! Reinstalled Invidia driver & reboot. Then - DAG Error 11 Increased virtual memory from 16 to 32 RX580's seem slow, I will have to look into OC Bios One glitch I've noticed - Win10 - When 2nd bank of GPU's is used - When I try to click on the Window/Start Button nothing happens. I have to right click and choose an option from that menu. Wish I new Linux. But I barely know Windows.

So after some more reading, I'm now rather considering the Gigabyte B250 instead of the Asus B250 Mining Expert, because shared PCIe lanes are just no good idea.
So what's the catch to be running more than 12 GPUs on the Asus B250? You have to be running GPUs from Asus for the remaining 7 slots, right? If doing it with 12 x GeForce 1070 + 7 x Asus, can it be really running stable?

Running 13 radeon 570. No problemo. Havent tried with 14. For the last 6 u need mining cards.
