This project seems interesting.  But there is almost zero buzz... do a basic Google search... or even compare this announcement string to others.

Read that it is planned to issue tokens on the exchange only at the end of the year. It sounds strange, why not release them right away?

Hey!

Well you receive ICO ERC20 tokens which will be traded at a 1:1 ratio when the Wanchain platform goes live in November 2017. These tokens will give you the transfer rights to obtain WANcoins upon release of the platform. The structure is a bit different but we believe working on the platform and having it all ready with the tokens at the same time is the way to go!

The exact release date has not been specified only Q4 2017 with a high chance of a November release. No, exchanges will be able to list these tokens as they please as well.

2.    There are fake websites emerging. Please visit wanchain.org (this is for now the ONLY real website pertaining to Wanchain) and bookmark it. Also, please bookmark the proper MEW, Parity and other wallet websites in advance. There are many fake websites claiming to be these. They usually remove a letter or add a random letter to make it look real (e.g. FAKE MEW: ~myeterwallet.com~ – THEY REMOVE THE H IN THIS CASE). BE ALERT.

3.    Slackbot should be disabled but if you ever receive an email or a message from Slackbot, DO NOT CLICK THE LINK.

4.    We have disabled Microsoft office documents to be uploaded, this is for your security.

5.    We have 2FA active for our admins, and all passwords are in “deep cold storage” but admins can be compromised (unlikely but we must take measures if this was to occur). Can you give a short description of Wanchain?
Wanchain is a unique public blockchain with inter-chain transactions and privacy protection.  Wanchain has its own protocol for inter-chain transactions, which is based on locked account and threshold signature. With it, wanchain can support multi-assets trading.

Where is Wanchain registered?
The Wanchain Foundation is registered in Singapore. See the commercial whitepaper for details.

What are the main roles of Wancoin?
Two main roles for the Wancoin are: 1) process fees for Wanchain transactions and cross-chain transactions and, 2) bond deposits at each node for ensuring cross-chain transactions. In terms of applications, as more and more cross-chain transactions are processed by Wanchain and as Wancoin appreciates in value, Wancoin will become an intermediate currency for currency exchanges. This is similar to being the transaction medium for other currencies or digital assets.

Can the US participate in the ICO?
US, Singapore and Mainland Chinese citizens may not participate in this ICO. Use the laws of your locale to determine your participation in the ICO. We can't comment on the eligibility of any specific person or situation.
