It looks like a new wallet to me.

It is ...

A full swap will take place when the base is considered stable, with which we will have a full open beta to the public to run.

A change of codebase WITH the same blockchain would have been a fruitless exercise in more ways than one, and as such, the decision to literally create a new coin/codebase and swap to it still seems the best way to move forward with this. We pondered the differing processes with which to move forward with this, and our tests (executed via OZC codebase tests) fell apart in an abysmal fashion. A long time, and much effort was put into that codebase only to have it fork the chain, diverge the development processes and ultimately fail in merging a new codebase with the old blockchain. Hence, with SWEEP, we are taking the direction of a new codebase, a name change, and a ticker change to completely rid ourselves and the chain itself of the inherent issues we have faced over many, many months of problematic trials.

This does not mean this version will not be without it's testing and teething issues, but it will mean that we can start afresh on a new testbed of code to allow for a new start on our road to the Master Coin (CodeNamed CoinX) that will integrate all of the 5 coins into one.

This codebase and swap with the current SWEEP chain is the beginning, and when successful, will become the template and gateway for the other coins updates/swaps.

Can you give a timeline?

The version in that screenshot is fully operation for an alpha version?

Timeline? ...

I think you know me better than that Wink

If I could give a definite timeline, then I would have posted it along with the image. The Git is private for a very good reason, and that is simply that the codebase is not completely ready and the wallet is unusable in its current state. We are working on the codebase itself, not the 'pretty' components of the wallet, so if any timeline is going to be had, it will be simply this - 'when it is ready to be publicly tested'. Graphics and theme/wallet components will be the last thing we work on.

In saying that though, the codebase is being tested this week. Everything from compilation to usability. We will be making as sure as we can with regards to functionality, so it is designated as 'alpha', you are correct. Once we get to the stage that we know we can testnet it, then we will invite a private group to test the alpha, and flow from there. Remebering that THIS codebase will be the next codebase for ALL the coins, so we need to get this one right and fully functional. If we can do it with SWEEP, the rest are no major issues in comparison (except for OZC with it's decimal issue - but that is fixed in this codebase).

I was trying to avoid the "when it's done" thing.

And I was trying to figure out when the new blockchain could have been operational and how the swap would have taken place, if it was before (it sounds like a joke I know) Christmas.

No - it won't be THIS Christmas or before it ...

The chain itself will be reset time and time again when we make changes to the code, so even a TestNet release would be fruitless.

This will save YOU a lot of headaches in the long run in resetting the wallet/chain every single time with unusable coins and tests being minted for no reason. Let us use our resources and mining/electricity to do the alpha work, then when beta starts, we will be happy for you to expend your resources in the beta testing process as you wish.

With SSC - we will be keeping the JHA Algo for the foreseeable future, so no new miners/mines will be required just yet.

Hi All ...

Internal testing has proven that most of the code is functioning, and we will soon be opening the code for public testing.

We are just being very careful not to release a codebase that will cause issues and that the main components of the codebase is reasonably stable, even if it still needs public testing on various OS/Platforms.

We are close.

Yes there is ...

SSC is the name of the new coin, and wallet, in line with the genesis of the original coin name SweepStakeCoin. The new codebase has been completed in the last week and is undergoing internal testing currently. With a few bugs to be ironed out, then the graphics updated, the new codebase will be available for public testing very soon.

If you have access to Discord, the SSC Channel has more info, but I will update here when there is anything major.

BTW - it will be a swap of SWEEP to SSC when we go CWI-mainnet on SSC. So we are looking at ways of making this a smooth transition. Probably through Zapple Exchange, but that is one avenue to swap all coins out.

link to working sweep wallet? The wallet I have will not sync and thus I cannot load my wallet backups. I take it that it may be offline but when the time comes to exchange I need to have a working sweep wallet in order to exchange....

thanks

Hi sparker327 ...

The Windows wallet that islisted on the OP is the only Windows wallet available to date here - https://mega.nz/#!tQcXiThD!H7YG2JnbBftIMne7lPO_F87vo2f4lUYfxWlAcUfV-Kg

The other wallets are not available unless you can compile for yourself via the Github Repo. The sync should work, as long as you are on the right chain and you have peers that are still current.

Grab the node list from here - https://chainz.cryptoid.info/sweep/#!network

We are working towards creating a 'mini seed farm' for each of the coins that are redeveloped based on this new codebase that SSC is based on. You are correct, you will need to be us to date with sync, and be able to transfer your coins to the exchange for swap when the time comes. We will make this as easy as we possibly can when we are ready for the swap.

I will be offline for three days as of the next hour due to three days travel, but I will be back online to see how things go after that.

We are currently on track so far for the public test release of SSC shortly.

Admittedly - it is VERY slow ...

However, there literally is no other way (BootStrap or BlockChain copy) of syncing this due to the fork that happened long before we took over the project. Under most syncs, whenever the wallet hits that forked block and the orphans start to accumulate, the wallet automatically starts to sync via peers from there on.

So the best way to do this is let it go, and let it sync. It will take some time.

The new wallet and new codebase is nothing like this. It is fast. We are working towards a public beta very soon. So far internal testing shows it is stable, but still needs some tweaking.

well its been almost a month and it was at 89% synced then everything stopped working and now the sync is gone and I have to restart. This really is kind of ridiculous. i guess ill just lose my 1.4 million sweep.

You won't lose it ...

If you have your wallet, you will not lose your coins.

We are working on ideas as to what can be done with people in your situation and so far there is nothing that can be automated as yet. The sync is a pain we know, but this is temporary now, as the new codebase is VERY stable and VERY fast. The issue is that it has to be a swap to the new wallet and chain, which mean we ALL need to be able to access our coins and transfer them to swap them.

There will be a way. We will find it.
