For me the biggest concern is the OP hadn't been online for a week, oh & the fact they have not mentioned any exchanges they are in discussion with

@Atomicc, Totally false. Check your maths and then look at how much 1 kH/s/day costs for Cryptonight at any mining rental site (now, not 1 month ago) and how many grft you can turn daily, then compare it to the ICO price. Still hugely overpriced despite higher diff.

Opening mining during ICO was the first sign that it's a scam, then pricing the ICO at 10x the price via mining (why would anyone buy in the ICO instead of renting hashpower?) kind of sealed it. I feel sorry for those who bought ICO coins. But then again, this is crypto ... victims are a necessity for success.

@ cryptoyes Graft is still the most profitable coin in relation with ICO price, but diff. today is 4 time higher than 10 days ago.

ETN had open mining period for almost 2 months prior of opening ICO investor wallets (unexpected hacking situation). In that time coin was mined and traded on exchange. After the wallets released ICO participants still profit 6x!!!

That is the power of marketing and good communication.  Graft team can learn a lot from ETN, transparent and frequent announcements, videos, news on all channels, etc...
GRAFT is a great project, but people need to know about it.

Cheesy what profitability? the coin doesn't exist on any exchange and you have no idea what actual value it will have when it hits exchanges.

All you can say is that even now (higher diff), mining it using rented hashpower is FAR cheaper than the ICO price, and it was even cheaper mining it during the ICO. If you don't admit that the ICO was shady because of this, then you likely have hidden interests or could be a (potential) victim yourself. Nobody should have bought in this ICO. At best, they should have rented hashpower and mined it instead (and then pray they don't miss the dump of all miners selling when/if it hits exchanges).

You're a fan. I get it. Doesn't change the list of shady stuff I highlighted https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2115188.msg30565779#msg30565779 ... for example, can you name just 3 verifiable (and worthy) companies from the 140+40 they claim they partnered with?

We're all tired of scammers. If you want people to know about GRAFT, then tell them about the above as well.

p.s. What communication? The telegram chat is a ghost town as far as team members are concerned ... it's full of incredibly rude supporters and miners.

It's great when evidence-based criticism is instantly labeled as FUD. If it's FUD then you must be able to prove wrong (with evidence) each item in my list of shady things: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2115188.msg30565779#msg30565779

Let's hear it.

WTS 7500 GRFT for 0.1 BTC.  I would swing for escrow service if one can be found with a fee of 0.002 or less.  PM with offers

This is a prime example of a scam enabled by the shady ICO ... don't buy into any of this shit. If you really, really, _really_ want GRFT then just go and rent yourself some hashpower and mine GRFT. You can mine 9000 GRFT with only 0.06-0.07 BTC. You may eb left with worthless bags still, but at least you paid less for it.

@squads here (who has 0 posts on this board) is just another person who benefited from the overpriced ICO, surely mined these coins and now is selling them for less than ICO price, but still outrageously expensive given how super outrageously expensive the ICO was.

Don't give money to scammers!

The developer has not logged in for a week.
Is it busy or a scam?

All of this seems really shady tbh. Regardless I will point my miners to it for a few days. What's the worst that can happen.. I lose 20 bucks worth of electricity. I feel real sorry for ICO investors if this turns into some hot turd (hopefully not). It's still too early for me to give a finite decision. I do agree that the price of the coin was absolutely insane. I can't believe they raised 6.4 million USD with a ridiculous price like that.

The devs also keep a stupid high percentage of the coin... 40% of the supply??? What kind of Bull is that? Crypto is supposed to be decentralized.. Giving a few people almost half the supply does exactly the opposite.

I like crypto

It has been another wild experience of going through the ICO over the last 4 weeks! We are thankful to our supporters and contributors. Now, as GRAFT Blockchain ICO is over we can continue with GRAFT's ambitious mission.

There seems to be some over hype surrounding this coin. I hope it doesn't end up flopping like SmartCash.

Have a look at the ICO page:

- outrageously overpriced ICO (mining it is orders of magnitude cheaper, why would anyone want to buy in the ICO?)
- unsuccessful ICO (92 mil available to sell, only 22 mil sold) ... no surprise here. In fact, 22 mil is already too much.
- a hell of a lot of coins go to the team in some form (4+8+27% reserves - seriously?)
- mentions ICO cap in USD, but ICO priced in BTC.
- a long series of unverifiable (surreal?) claims, e.g. claims to have already achieved: 140 merchants for the mobile wallet, 40 partners on terminal integration, etc ... Wow, and this coin isn't even on any exchange. Why do you think they don't name any single one of those merchants/partners? (rhetorical question)
- team put forward a pool with 0.01% fee because "we want to help the community, we don't want money for ourselves". When their pool reached a few MH/s, guess what happened to that 0.01% fee? It became 1%.

Good luck to those who actually bought in this ICO.

p.s. Has anyone asked all advisors about it (scammy ICOs slap on names all the time)? Though this looks like a Ukraine get-together, international footprint is minimal at best.

Graft admins care to comment on the above?

You are pure FUD.

He’s offered reasonable evidence to his claims and all you do is claim FUD.  He is actually more helpful to this conversation than you because he’s offering a legitimate point of view.

Think about it for a second.  If it’s a scam, no surprise there.  If it’s not, then the Graft team didn’t even know how to price their own ICO properly.  Wouldn’t that make you worry about the competence of the people involved in this project?
