For me, the best altcoin is Ethereum. Observe the cryptocurrency market nowadays. Most of the ICO are now using the platform of ethereum. I really believed that the ethereum will have a bright future.

I think you should do a research about some coin like TRX, ETH (ICO use ETH too much so I think it will increase the price).

When you want answer to such a question, the best option for you is it consider just 2 factors :-.
1.IDEA- always look for project with unique and popular ideas. Look for a project which solve a certain set of problems.
2.team -look for projects with a strong development team as the team will decide the direction in which the projects will go.
Right now, i think CIVIC and RIPPLE are the two projects in which you j would consider investing as these projects can offer good amounts of returns in the long run.

Now Ripple has been accepted by the largest Korean bank in international transactions, this is probably a sign that coin ripple will develop in the future. Although the price of Ripple is quite far away from Bitcoin but the rate of growth of this currency is very high. Maybe a few more years to catch up with Bitcoin.
