Do we need blockchain technology?

I think that with Blockchain technology is easier to "buy what you believe in". It gives us more power to show our discontent and opposition. Maybe not all of them need them, but blockchain technology itself can contribute greatly to many different fields.

Depend on what kind of coins we're talking about, bitcoin-blockchain is necessary, we need it even though you think there is no benefit in real life but bitcoin running on blockchain and we use bitcoin which mean; we use blockchain indirectly. If we're talking about shitcoins which offers something or services but not really useful, then those coins mostly used as trading object.

In blockchain technology, everyone has benefits.. When a businessman wants to promote his product, he will gonna use blockchain technology. It means when you are a member of blockchain you will promote the product in return of coins. The businessman will pay less compare to advertisement.

When I see there are too many ICO and shitcoins on novaexchange. I keep asking myself: do we really need blockchain technology?

In case of Bitcoin. Of course, I agree.
What about ETH? I agree too.

But, have a look at the others on the market. I don't even know why should people use their service. There is no real use in real life.

An ad management system on blockchain? - We already had Google Ads & Facebook Ads.
A social network on blockchain? (steem) - Do we? I don't see anything but a centralized forum hosted on a random hosting using its currency to pay for the writers.

There are too many projects  that we don't really need it on blockchain.

Sometimes, I think there is a black swan (Blockchain is useless in real life) lurking around.

Indeed. Blockchain can provide more security to the patforms you mentioned. Consider also the fact that most of the database are centralized which means if a hacker target them directly, they can change information that is stored and it is very crucial specially in financial institutions.

Blockchain can also provides us cheaper products and services online because it doesn't need a middle man to operate. We can transact directly from one person to another removing any commission of that middleman.

This is not so. Blockchain technology is an essential step to real democracy. Of course the government would be against it, but it all depends on people. For example, based on the blockchain, you can build a system of elections and recall of politicians. And much more.

Well I agree with this. Blockchain technology is one of the brainchild of the modernization of the technology, I guess human lived many years ago without it even an excessive modern gadgets so we can say that this is not the only thing we should focus ourselves to, and the fact that you can eat without this is such a great thing for me. Obviously yes, we need block chain in order for us to mine coins we are interested to get, that is the reason why there are a lot of miners today who are looking for software who suits their gpu the best to get more coins.
