Bitcoin for Taxi

Bad idea i wouldn't mind paying bitcoin for my taxi service wt all but the issue is most merchants always want atleast 1 confirmation and get 1 confirmation can take 40 minutes with the minimum fees or 10 minutes with highest fees. The only solution would be by assuming the fare and sending in before reaching the destination but no solution for fees you can consider the fees as tip

I think this could be if, the driver have also any kind of Bitcoin wallet to transfer their payment. And also this could be more convenient to those people who are using Bitcoin, because nowadays lots of crime involve hold-ups especially to those people who work  as a taxi driver, and you can't predict when or where it gonna happens, so if you are using Bitcoin your money is safe rather than carrying a cash.

I am really wondering how that would work.
The driver needs a confirmation that the payment is processed in a block, and that can take a while at the monet.
Otherwise it might happen that the transaction is not processed at all and the coins go back to the original wallet.
Waiting with the passenger in the car till that has happened is somehow not an option.

An idea in the future is likely to happen if it works, but for now it seems very difficult to realize bitcoin for taxi payments because money is still a top priority in terms of all payments.

Im agree.. because we can pay taxi in another country with bitcoin. We cant use money changer. We just use bitcoin anywhere and anytime.

Of course that will be so great and I hope that will happen someday or maybe the soonest especially for the Uber company that can really do this kind of Bitcoin payments in their application user. If this will happen the economy of the Bitcoin will surely boom.

If there is convenience to be obtained of course many agree, is it possible from the side of the driver would accept this. Because most are still happy to receive cash, they are accustomed to always calculate their opinions at any time.
It seems very difficult to be implemented for this.

Well it can surely be a good news because if you don't have a fiat money on you, you can surely pay with bitcoin directly, it will be good on some bitcoin users that don't have access in withdrawing their bitcoin there is a chance in using their bitcoin by just using the taxi or cab, and I can see some guys here that are doubting this because of slower transactions right now, I think if your bitcoin is store in your prioritize wallet the transaction will be OK,

Personally, I find anything that can be done with bitcoin instead of fiat interesting, considering how you are using a currency of the future, it feels quite unique. However, I agree that using it on Taxi's and on Supermarkets would be the best considering how these fields are exclusive for fiat, making that transaction very special.

Hmm... Im agree with you if.. All of taxis in the world use bitcoin as payment so we can use all of taxi in tge world just bring our bitcoin wallet..
Bit we need count about the fee of transaction in bitcoin. Its to much for thr low transaction ingane if we pay fee 0.001 but we just use taxi for 0.003 or something like that haha

Don't worry dude if the taxu driver accept bitcoin that is very easy for most of the people and also me because nowadays many earn income from bitcoin but the acceptance of bitcoin is very small quantity of it so it is really very easy to pay him money like if he accept bitcoin. So otherwise you also talking about internet connection I hope that will be no problems to us of internet connection because nowadays internet is present in most of the countries.

That is cool. Having wifi won't cost so much since the driver does many trips a day and then there is plenty time for the transaction to go through.
Another way to do this is to have the taxi company use their own coin. Imagine when we can have rival taxi company using their own coins. This is how the future will be, I can't wait.
