This is a good idea bitcoin for taxi. The thing is bitcoin price is volatile and transactions takes long to confirm. Bitcoin for taxi will surely loves by many.

I think Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies would be a good fit for taxis, uber, left, etc. That would be another way to make use of cryptocurrencies in a very practical way.

This would also make it an everyday use for an industry like that. We probably have a long way to go to get that to happen though. It could take a while to convince that market that this is a good fit and to transition to this technology for the vehicles and drivers as well as the passengers.

Yeah I think it is good idea. I hope that all taxi driver will accept bitcoin as payment including all of companies like grab and uber. By doing that, it will help the bitcoin to become more popular.

There are great use cases for bitcoin - we will see how it all plays out in the end. Perhaps bitcoin is a store of value and another alt takes the lead on a settlement layer - or.. maybe btc adapts and becomes a settlement layer for smaller tx's as well. Who knows..

Yeah I think it is good idea. I hope that all taxi driver will accept bitcoin as payment including all of companies like grab and uber. By doing that, it will help the bitcoin to become more popular.

It is very convenience if this will implement to all the countries, it is just like swiping your credit card hassle free for the customers and the taxi drivers, they won't bother to look for a change if the customer pays a large sum of money. I am excited to see this kind of innovation, yes the bitcoin will become more useful to the community.

Tx fees anf tx time, bitcoin transfer fee are way too high the faster yoy want it to be confirmed to more expensive its fees are, But there are other option, Litecoin, Xrp, XLM, &any other fasr and cheap tx coin can be used by taxi's or UBER & other transportation vehicles as an alternative payment

Well maybe this thing should be resolve first before it can be implemented.
Or it can be sync or use our local wallets so the transaction is not too long yet the fee will be zero or just a little.
If this will happen, it'll be a great and more convenient to all bitcoin enthusiasts.

If it will be applied,there are more things they need to foresee first, thus the delays in transaction wont affect the schedule of the taxi and the passenger are they willing to wait or not, as well as the amount or price since the price of btc were not stable and changes from time to time that may cause their lose sometimes.

It is possible but would be hard to implement since it would require stable internet access whenever that taxi is going which is not applicable for most of the third world country.

no i dont, if this mode of payment implement in my country as bitcoin pay your taxi-drive, it can cause more crimes, i mean some bad people are hunting down those bitcoin holder after he/she paid her/his taxi-drive (declaring hold-up). even this idea is a good to implement, we all knew that all bad guys are in everywhere at anytime, so its a life risky if this idea happens.

i am sure that there are many ways to prevent this and we need to secure our account if we want to pay with crypto currency. but i think if this is really implemented then we have many option to pay the fees. i see that uber is trying to used crypto currency and i heard in some country, people can try this with their coins.

To prevent this you would need to make payments in Bitcoin only from addresses with low amounts of Bitcoins, so nobody will try to extort you. If taxis/cabs start accepting Bitcoin as payment method they can have some advantage over Uber service for now.

I think it looks real if we can have some Service which can take our crypto coins and pay to Taxi service provider in fiat immediately,
almost in the same time and without ''terroristic'' fees. In that we can avoid a lot of  problems: cash, change, safety of driver, time of transaction of BTC and think that you should previous convert your BTC at exchange send them to your card and only after that use them in your real life.

I would strongly agree with the payment of taxi with bitcoin, it would be easier for us bitcoin users.

Much probably for some users that has an emergency and infact thats not so easy to change bitcoin into cash you need to wait how about if its so emergency so it would be more convenient from some of us to use bitcoin to paid it on taxi.

I like the idea but only thing is that only in case if you are out of money or do not have change people would like to use it because if you believe in coming time the prices will rise back again from here than a year or two year later you would realize that the taxi ride you had and paid btc is worth so many thousands dollars later.

It is a great idea to use bitcoin in any exchange or transactions with money. As paying for bill for taxi, it is a good thing that bitcoin can be used here because it will lessen the hassle because it will work like a credit card and I think that will be very efficient.
