Why is WhaleCoin slowly dying? Every other altcoin is rising like stupid atm but WHL goes down and down and down ..
sad .. Sad

did you seriously expect WhaleCoin to be a huge success? I didn't. To me it sounded like a fun coin right from the start, but nothing more.

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

If you really still think whalecoin is a joke then you obviously haven't understood the potential this coin has. The platform might be in very early stages for now but I definitely see this coin rocketing once a fully functional product is launched.

Team WhaleCoin needs your help!

We're giving 5 WHL to each person that completes this survey and submits it along with a WhaleCoin address.

I like the rewards so far for holding a whale in the network. However, i don't see how the value of a whale can appreciate in the short term.

The network needs participants from both sides, whales and followers, and for that, the network benefits then from having as much people as it can to be able to test the product once launched. But for that, they have to have an affordable entry price to be encouraged to participate in the network. So that's why I think owning 1,000 whales won't be the benefit in the long run, more like how robust your whale can be in the network and that will be determined by the amount of followers the whale has.

So I downloaded the desktop whale wallet and installed it and am using it for a month now. But here is the thing: I can backup my wallet with the keystore file etc. But where on earth can I lookup my private key? I got over a 1000 whales and wanted to register as a whale, but since I cannot lookup my own private key I cannot do that. It would have been real easy to lookup my private key had there been the option 'Debug window' under menu 'help', but this option is not there in this wallet. So where can I look up my privatekey?

C:\Users\NameUser\AppData\Roaming\WhaleCoin\keystore
Yes, that's where my mentioned keystore file is, I can open it with notepad but what is my privatekey there? All I see is things like:
{"address":"<my wallet adress>","crypto":{"cipher":"aes-128-ctr","ciphertext":"<a long string of numbers and letters>","cipherparams":{"iv":"<smaller string of numbers and letters>"},"kdf":"scrypt","kdfparams":{"dklen":32,"n":262144,"p":1,"r":8,"salt":"<another long string of numbers and letters>"},"mac":"<another long string of numbers and letters>"},"id":"<some kind of serial code>","version":3}

Which long string of numbers and letters might then be my private key?

Edit: never mind, I created a new wallet, transferred all there and turned that into a whale.

I couldn't figure it out either in the desktop wallet but you can go to www.mywhalewallet.com and access to your wallet with your keystore file,it will ask you for your password, then you will access your wallet and it will show you both your address and your private key. Also if you don't wanna input your private key every time you claim rewards, there's a tutorial in the whalecoin medium blog on how to claim rewards with your desktop wallet.

You can be worried or not but I think we all know this growth is not something we've seen before. BTC market is changing, good or bad it has to be seen.

This project looks very interesting which starts from a good name and some graphical annotations that support from year to year continue to increase. I think this project will be a huge success.
