In this time when people are really into technology, I know digital currency will grow more in the coming years and no matter how awesome it is, I don't think it can ever replace the paper money or fiat as what we call it. Cashless souciety sounds like a great plan, but I don't think the governments and big financial institutions and corporation will allow it due to its decentralized nature, it cannot replace the paper currency.

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

Personally I say yes as our society becomes increasingly dependent upon technology, digital currency will become a more popular means of paying for different things and it is more effective and instant. I haven't used much physical money in the past 8 years and I rarely had any problems with that.

What do you guys think? Wink

Whoa.. You havent used any physical money in the past 8 years? Where do you live bro? Im curious.. Yes,it is possible that there are places where digital currency can be use for transactions and trading and physical money is not needed.
However, there are still a greater portion of the world especially from the 3rd world countries where physical money is still use for buying things. Its nearly impossible for all the people in the world to depend on digital currency than the actual gold deposit or paper money that are actually been using for thousands of years. Old habits die hard.

If you live in a metropolis with all amenities, then of course, for you it seems that the world is a single industrial center where technology meets at every step. If we look at this problem more globally, our world is not yet so technically and technologically developed. Paper money will continue to run in parallel with other types of means of payment for a very long time and what will happen next, no one knows. Apparently, paper money can disappear only when the whole world will unite into a single global economic system like the European Union. To remove their national money and completely depend on the economic development of other states, this is still foolish.

I think short time is only needed for digital currency to replace paper money.  Even now in some cases digital currency replace paper currencies like those transactions that you will only use your phone to buy something in the internet and pay them also online.  For my opinion,  there will be come a time that digital currencies are the only currency the people are using considering the advantages of digital currencies compare to paper currencies.  So for me,  it is really possible and there is really a high possibility that digital currencies will replace paper money.

This is wrong, because we do not know what will happen in the future. Just like in the old days no one thought of trading in money (which they exchanged with food or something valuable)

I doubt it,  but it's possible.  It takes longer to confirm than paper money takes to transfer in in-person transactions,  however.

I think not. It will be very hard to remove paper money from our day to day lives. A lot of people will still be traditional on their approach when it comes to money. I can see that in the future fiat and cryptocurrencies would be used side by side.

I yet doubt whether the digital currency will forever replace the paper maintenance. I think in it's use people will the entire choose to use digital currency. because it is easier  and realize not compulsion ribet bring much child support. but if for all time replacing paper money I realize not think as a result. paper money will yet exist. unaccompanied it's use will be shortened because people are more impatient in digital currency.

Yes i believe that eventually digital money will replace physical cash. The interesting part is how quickly that will happen and which currency will actually be the standard. Jack Dorsey (Twitter Founder & CEO) seems to believe it will be BTC and that this will occur within the next 10 years.

I think it's hard to do. Now, not all countries around the world accept bitcoin, and there are still many countries that ban bitcoin, and those countries will not support bitcoin payments. In those countries accept COINS, also only a small part of the store to support the currency payment, because pay the currency's still have a lot of disadvantages to cannot get promotion, so money will never disappear

Let the digital currency to replace the currency is not possible. Most governments are not willing to, because they can control the number of currency issuance, and digital currency is to the center, it is the whole world. No country can control it. In addition, in some special areas, it does not support the payment of digital money, and some transactions may also require physical delivery. All these do not need to use digital money.

Mate, we're in modern technology time and in a couple of years digital currency will replace paper money/fiat. Besides, in country like China, Greece etc. Almost people day to day transaction are done through post terminal and this is one of the reason why the Chinese government banned bitcoin because they see it as the cause of their national currency undervalue.

With the development of the times, people are more accustomed to using digital currency because it is more convenient and concise; I think that digital currency will replace banknotes in the near future.

Perhaps, because there are still many areas of a country that still apply the traditional way of economic activity and of course they have not been touched by technological advances. It may take a very long time for digital currencies to actually replace paper money...
