Do you think digital currency will ever replace paper money?

We are already actively using electronic money. we pay almost everywhere debit cards. Here is an example of electronic money.

But there are unchangeable riches. Non-ferrous metals, diamonds, emeralds and so on. Their electronic money you can not replace.

I think yes. We all know that technology is overtaking a lot of things in the world right now. As for me, I believe that there will come a time that bitcoin will replace fiat which would be convenient and might also provide us a faster and easier transactions. However, it will really take time for sure. I know that it will surely take a long time to have it since a lot of people are too close minded about crypto currency.

Yes it will soon. Every year there is too much money invested in paper money. If some security is given to the digital currency then there will definitely be a paperless money future. It will definitely helps the economy of any country. But the main threat is only that for digital currency's initializing cost may be very high. But soon technology will overcome. And we have a great future.

I think that Internet banking and credit cards already replaced paper money, at least in developed world.
Digital currencies are second phase in this development.
Paper money is dying dinosaur, and soon or later we will not use it any more.

Well put!  In addition to that... as we've moved from paper money to digital, all those transactions have started flowing through private financial institutions giving them all a % of the cut each time money exchanges hands.  If we keep going down this path, ALL of our money will be controlled by financial institutions that profit at every turn.  This is why cryptocurrencies are so important in my opinion.  We're at a cross roads where we can do one of three things;

a) go back to using cash for all transactions (not likely)
b) keep going down the path of credit cards based on fiat that make private institutions very rich and allow them to ultimately decide how we spend our money
c) embrace crytpocurrencies that keep the power of choice in the people's hands.

I don't think digital money will replace paper money. Digital currency transactions require the Internet, but there are still many people who cannot use the Internet, and digital money will not be available.

What do you mean "bitcoin is not yet legal"?  You can buy it, use it, sell it and not face any legal ramifications.  The United States IRS recognizes it as an asset and taxes gains on it.

Just because the government has not adopted it as a currency they choose to use does not in any way make it illegal.

I don't think it's possible. Bitcoin is now not recognized by countries around the world. Many go home and ban bitcoin transactions. Bitcoin is slow to trade, and its trading costs are high, preventing it from becoming a daily currency.

I don't think digital money replace paper money. Now we talk about the price of bitcoin against dollar and i think this will never change.
We will always ask "how much dollar is a bitcoin?"

I think digital money has already replaced actual money. Just look at your bank account, you dont physically hold the money till you draw it. But you can pay our ills ect and send money around the world without physically sending it

hopefully not to the fiull extent, cause we might not be able to help those vendor or those people selling along side the road selling raw veges or farmers who arent renting spaces from malls just to sell their products, and am pretty sure they cant also take a picture of their products and post it over the internet, what they care about is cash in an instant.

if we look at it from several generations, maybe a great chance of digital currency to break the world market does exist, but it may take a long time, because basically, we are still united with some people who have a technological backwardness and it can be a growth barrier digital currency

It maybe happen in future, but for now it's some hard. Because we can't replace all paper money with digital currency. It takes times and lots of efforts to do it.
