Yes, I think it will. However it will not be Bitcoin due to the very high fees and slow transactions. No revultionizing updates are on the way to improve the current situation. In my opinion big banks and governments will never give the money creation rights to some decentralized network controlled by just random people. They will create their own cryptocurrency (blockchain based or other currently not developed technology) and try to force us to use it by certain regulations.

bitcoin can replace cash if in a region/country/world-wide have affordable internet as a whole and all its people understand the technology. It may happen, but it takes a very long time. the biggest opportunity is bitcoin become alternative payments could apply anywhere.

Crypto currency would just take a big part on the future. It would not make Fiat disappear. Physical money is something that a personal country has to represent it's value.

Everybody would be forced to get a digital wallet just to send and receive transactions.

Fiat is more handy to be honest you can pay instantly unlike with BTC's Blockchain the fee is not really stable than the usual fee it does have for it's uers. *The more the people that supports digital assets = Higer demand and price for the whole market.
Probably its true, fiat cannot be replace by cryptocurrency like bitcoin but bitcoin can only be a part of one's country economy to be a mode of another kind of money. There's a big difference when we used fiat and bitcoin as a mode of payment. Since bitcoin can only be access with the use of internet to make transactions so i guess this one is much complicated than fiat.

Yes. And I think that it will happen faster than many people think. I think this will happen before 2030.
I guess digital currency wouldn't replace fiat or paper money. If there's any possibility its only bitcoin could be a part of the economic aspect of one country but to replace the fiat I would probably disagree because it is hard to replace it due to the unexplainable reasons. But then if it would again this could be a great deal to bitcoin.

Personally I say yes as our society becomes increasingly dependent upon technology, digital currency will become a more popular means of paying for different things and it is more effective and instant. I haven't used much physical money in the past 8 years and I rarely had any problems with that.

What do you guys think? Wink

For the sake of those people that were unluckily had no capabilities to acquire such technology i think no. They are those less fortunate people that they would stick in using paper money only. Maybe there will be much higher percentage who will use digital currency but doesn't mean will replace the paper money.

in general some countries like Japan really prefer cash. hard real cash.
sure you can live without having real coins or paper notes, but in reality you need the real stuff.
like gold ,
important to have a real safe with the real thing inside it, as in case the system crashes you still have the real thing and can spend .

for examine for a city to survive with a million dollars, its important to have that million dollars in a physical form.
in case the electronics, processors go down, you still have cash inhand.

Unambiguously change. And for many reasons, because cash really becomes obsolete. The use of digital money should, and already now, simplify the use of them. The main problem with scalability. More services are needed, ready to accept crypto currency as payment.
There's no reason that this thing couldn't be happen in near future. Since bitcoin is can only be access using internet, and today internet is already part of the everyday life of the people and people today are preferring to use the most convenient way in terms of paying bills or something so I guess this possibilities are not impossible to happen.

It is posible that digital currency will replace fiat money. The use of digital currency gives us alot of comfort. Using digital currency will also cut the government budget in making paper bill or coins.

I think with the increasingly sophisticated technology today, digital money is the best choice to facilitate all transactions but still the security aspect must be more sophisticated as well, many humans are not responsible, but there must be a solution. Smiley

Since the people no yet know the bitcoin or don’t have an idea about the digital currency, it will never happen. I don’t think so. Maybe I guess because digital currency will remain digital. The paper money is entirely different from the digital currency because society still have a belief using the paper money.

Of course yes.
We all see how digital currency replace paper money step by step. Most of the people now use credit cards-we're almost there.
Our society becomes increasingly dependent upon technology, digital currency will become a more popular day by day.

I don't think digital currency will replace Fiat, it may later be dominant but fiat will still remain, not everyone can work with cryptocurrent, not everyone will be educated and not every one will be able to operate this technological devices.
I don't think that digital currency will be replacing cash. It may somehow be used in the future more that today but it will not replace cash. Because not all of the people can have access to the digital world and not all people understands it, i didn't mean anything, yes it can be learned but it will take time. That is why i think cash will still prevail.

For me, I somehow think that digital or virtual currency or what we called cryptocurrency for short bitcoin will someday surpass real life currency. But it is possible lets talk about the possibility, wayback from early ages their medium of exchange is nothing but a piece stone or exchanging a thing that they do have to buy something out of it, and when metals get discovered money changes it become a piece of metal or paper that shows a value for it to get traded out of something until now we manifest it, we use and share that same culture all over the world, so I can conclude that there is a possibility that bitcoin will pass real life money considering the history of money.

I don't think that there is any big change for bitcoin or any crypto to replace paper Money Because both of them are useful at their own place and we should not give preference to a particular but to give both Because both of them are useful in our practical Life equal .
At one side we can use bitcoin and another cryptocurrency for earnings and living life easily and at another side we need to have cash in our pocket to buy things that are necessary for our life , Because not every shop can accept cryptocurrency or online payment ( atleast in my country it is not possible to make payment in online at 80% of shops ) , so we should not consider own example but we should see toward another countries where digitization is still in old traditional way .

It could be, as we know today that money is almost replaced by electronic money. Almost some of the world's people use credit cards as a means of payment and also online stores are increasingly in demand of many people, so it is not possible if one day the paper money will be replaced by the practicality of bitcoin.

In my opinion cryptocurrency cant replace fiat money because its been there since the start of civilisation and its been their national treasure for each country . Digital currency can be a secondary or other methods of payment in the near future because digital currency doesn't have stable value for now.

I still doubt whether the digital currency will forever replace the paper money. I think in its use people will definitely prefer to use digital currency. because it is easier and do not need ribet bring much money. but if forever replacing paper money I do not think so. paper money will still exist. only its use will be reduced because people are more interested in digital currency.
