Introduction
Metaverse is a public blockchain project that aims to provide decentralized services based on digital assets, digital identity and value intermediaries in order to build an open ecosystem in which digital value can be freely circulated. Development
•   Light Wallet Development Progress
After receiving feedback from the community, the Metaverse light wallet beta has been upgraded with additional functions including freezing and Thai language version. You may access v0.1.1 of the light wallet beta, Beta Decay, at https://www.myetpwallet.com/.

The wallet is an SPV client and is accessible through your browser. Unlike the full node client, the Light Wallet does not require users to sync the entire blockchain and has a simple user interface that allows users to easily manage their digital assets while on-the-go.

•   Full-node Metaverse Wallet (MVSD)
- MVSD V0.7.2 is under testing, will be on live at late night today.

Head of Global Development, Janice Shi, recently participated led the Metaverse team to its first overseas meetup in Seoul, South Korea. The event was a big success, and provided many fruitful opportunities for discussion and interaction. Read more about it here.

•   University Events
Metaverse has been keeping up active collaboration with top Chinese universities. This past two weeks, Metaverse participated in the Fourth Internship and Job Fair for International Students hosted at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and also hosted the inaugural Blockchain Business Workshop organized by the Fudan Blockchain Association from Fudan University. We look forward to working even more closely with universities, academics, students and professionals in the future.

Metaverse Foundation
•   The Metaverse Foundation has been invited to attend the Cryptospace Conference held in Moscow, Russia on December 8. Hosted by our partner fundraising platform KICKICO, the Cryptospace Conference is the largest Blockchain and Cryptocurrency conference in Eastern Europe.The Metaverse founder Eric Gu delivered speech “Digital identity in blockchain” at conference.

•   The Metaverse Foundation’s bounty program is still ongoing. Rewards are available for both developers and community contributors. For more details, refer to our article here  and participate actively!

•   Metaverse CTO Chen Hao was recently invited to participate in the Technology Salon sponsored by 8BTC, China’s most influential platform for Bitcoin, blockchain and cryptocurrency news, where he delivered a presentation on blockchain technology’s potential to solve the dilemma of user privacy. The Metaverse Foundation was invited to attend the Cryptospace Conference held in Moscow, Russia on December 8. Hosted by our partner fundraising platform KICKICO, the Cryptospace Conference is the largest Blockchain and Cryptocurrency conference in Eastern Europe and expects a turnout of 3,000 participants from over 30 countries this year. 44 speakers and more than 100 professional journalists were in attendance

ETP holders have the opportunity to get ‘Christmas candy’ — Bitcoin God

Chandler Guo, a well-known bitcoin angel investor, announced that Bitcoin would be forked on the night of December 25th, with the new currency forked as Bitcoin God.

Bitcoin distribution rules:

1. There are total of 21 million Bitcoin God, in line with the total amount of Bitcoin, there is no mining for Bitcoin God

2. Bitcoin will be forked at block height 501225 to produce Bitcoins God as a gift for everyone

3. There are already exchanges confirmed that Bitcoin God will be available for trading on them, exchanges will take snapshots of their users at block height 501225 and distribute Bitcoin God 1:1 to users according to the amount of bitcoin they held. All users holding Metaverse ETP have opportunity to receive a certain percentage of Bitcoin God.


When Mr. Guo announced the fork news, he thanked the Metaverse community developers for the technical support they provided for the fork. In particular, Mr. Guo pointed out that the digital identity technology provided by Metaverse is essential to the fork. Likewise, members of Metaverse are honored to contribute a bit of power to Bitcoin God Community.

Metaverse is always highlighting the importance of digital identity in both the technology development of the blockchain and its application. In September this year, Metaverse released the White Paper of digital identity. Digital identity has always been the missing part in the public chain, and Metaverse is committed to providing users with unique digital identity services. In the blockchain, digital identities will be integrated at the bottom as an easy-to-use foundation for any users to participate in application of the digital identity. Through digital identity, users can easily save their ‘candies’ and manage their own assets. At present, Metaverse has completed the first draft of the digital identity function design, the function is been developing and will be achieved in the near future.

Im also having some issues. I tried to make a deposit into Bitfinex from the wallet and the transaction hash as well as the coins associated with the transaction are missing. Any advice would be appreciated.

There is at the moment a heavy TX load on network. And a backlog of 7+ hours.

I am not sure if this is a bug or not but despite having more than 500 transactions in mempool, only 1 goes into blocks.

Considering people are still facing issues one way or another, I'm still hesitant to even put something in any of the wallets at this point.  I don't say that to purposely spread FUD either, it's just that it seems like there is always a some sort of technical issue going on whether it be the blockchain or the wallet.

•   Metaverse ETP is now available for trading on QBTC with no transaction fees.


•   Metaverse ETP is going to be listed on TDAX on January 2018. TDAX is a Thailand-based digital asset exchange co-founded by Poramin Insom, who is also the co-founder of Zcoin.



Development
•   Light Wallet Development Progress
French support was added to the Metaverse Light Wallet on 21 December 2017. You may access the wallet at: http://myetpwallet.com/

•   Metaverse full-node wallet
-   Upgraded to version 2.0 of the JSON-RPC API . It remains compatible with the old API.
-   The core team has been studying anonymity options for digital identities.

-   Travis CI has been activated for the Metaverse repository.
-   Three MIPs have been activated on GitHub:
