2 more questions. In the PC wallet, it says enabled, yet time active does not run. It stays at 0. In the debugconsole under masternodelist mine is visible as enabled but also this shows :
activetime" : 0,
        "lastpaid" : 0

While others have values there ( it is running for about 30 or 40 minutes now. Is this normal or i missed something?

Second question, i have more than the 10.000.000 required for the MN, if i wish to send something from the pc wallet, does it automatically use the balance not used for the MN (is it locked?) or do i need to use the debug console (sendto/from) from now on?

1) It will take some time before your masternode turns 'active'. When you 'start' a masternode from the gui, you actually just register it with the network. Funny detail is: you'll get masternode rewards from that moment on. But without an actual masternode, that registration will time out in about an hour and payments will stop. The masternode needs to ping the system to tell its alive. Also the 'last active' stats are dependent on those pings. It will take some time for the masternode to start pinging (don't know why) and also for the stats to update. Finally the 'lastpaid' will be set whenever your masternode was selected for a reward. But you won't get actual rewards until block 10,081.

On a successful registration from your controlling wallet, your masternodes debug.log should show "CActiveMasternode::EnableHotColdMasterNode() - Enabled! You may shut down the cold daemon". After a while, you should see it ping: " CActiveMasternode::SendMasternodePing()" in the same logfile.

2) Yes, when you 'start' (register) the masternode, the wallet automatically locks the 10M coins to prevent them from being spent (which is great btw, not all wallets do that).
To check that your coins are locked, you can enable 'coin control' (Settings menu, Options, Wallet) and then on the 'Send' page, use 'Inputs...' to see your inputs (basically thats the individual coins you received). Your 10M input should have a lock symbol next to it.

hi,
i keep having staking problems.
the coins are now in the wallet for 2 days. The wallet is synced... the wallet has been encrypted... is current in open for staking.

But it keeps showing me the staking is not activated.
in the config file this is written:

Staking=1
listen=1
txindex=1
rpcuser=*yourusername*
rpcpassword=*yourpassword*
rpcport=51473
port=51572
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
addnode=1.122.212.160
addnode=74.118.192.18
addnode=85.214.125.248
addnode=84.200.16.124
addnode=81.169.251.126
addnode=82.211.30.118
...

is there a slack page? or could any1 give any advice?
have already set up several wallets and they all started staking after 24hours. but this 1 is not getting to "staking is active"
(and the wallet is up and running for 36hours without shutting down)

thnx for the advice

Why the hell are people selling COLX for 3 or 4 sats? I mean, do they want to lose money? CV2 is selling for 4 sats aswel. Sometimes, I don't understand how the world works

Why the hell are people selling COLX for 3 or 4 sats? I mean, do they want to lose money? CV2 is selling for 4 sats aswel. Sometimes, I don't understand how the world works

Not everyone knows about the CV2->COLX coin swap. And to be honest, NovaExchange doesn't show anything about it on the CV2 trading page or the wallet page either.

So people only see the CV2 price go down, they give up and sell their CV2 for 2 sats and we will even see 1 sat sells soon.

For the 3 months to come, this will make it effectively possible to buy COLX for only 2 to 4 sats (buy 2 CV2s @ 1 or 2 sats, swap them for 1 COLX), keeping the COLX price low: we may see 3sat sells and 2sat buys for COLX for quite some time.

Personally, I think that:
- At least, NovaExchange should inform people about the ongoing swap on the CV2 trading page and the wallet page;
- All CV2 markets should close after e.g. 2 weeks as they clearly hinder COLX price development;
- After closing, all remaining CV2 coins should be swapped automatically to COLX at the 2:1 ratio. There is no reason to assume that people would want their coins to be destroyed rather than swapped automatically.
- I even feel that anyone who can prove ownership on any CV2 balance (e.g. by signing a message) should be able to swap them to COLX indefinitely.

Simply put: if you put money in a vault, a crypto wallet, a paper wallet or an exchange, its reasonable to expect that the money will still be there after three months (quite a short period actually).

We don't have the right to randomly take coins away from people, even if they apparently don't pay attention to their coins. People should not need to pay attention to their coins anyway. They might have stored paper wallets in their vault, saving them for later. Should they really be forced to login to exchanges or other sites regularly to prevent their savings from being burned? This will reduce the trust in CV2/COLX and cryptocurrencies in general.

Burning unswapped coins, effectively transferring their value to our swapped coins, is nothing less than stealing.

You might laugh today because other people's losses are your profits. But you'll cry tomorrow when its your savings being burned while you looked away.

How much time do the coins need to mature to begin staking? This is after the POW phase ends

I knew this was going to happen. I saw this literally with every swap i saw (better said, was participating in) so far. I burned myself once this way but now i sell my coins that need swapping few days prior and buy the new coin at the same price or close to that. This time that allowed me to do a 1:1 swap. I even told in advance that this was likely to happen but was called insane lol.

Take this knowledge for the next time you are doing a swap. ;-)

P.S.: COLX will probably rise good. This will not happen today or tommorow but it sure will (if the roadmap that is promising is achieved), just HODL.

Really appreciate it, will set mine up tomorrow hopefully! Smiley

This colon x is already in the shit pile cause people are  staking it when will you learn staking ruins the coins value why because when it jumps to 10 theY sell which lowers the price DUH! So this coin will never reach past 20 just like with Ember coin and Linda coin go to Poloneix that's where all the real coins are sold

This coin will never grow...the community will never trust this one. They even said at first that transparency is one of their objectives. Now, its very transparent that only 4-5 people are holding much of COLX. It's no longer a good community, it was monopolized by scammers!

Holding few coins from past few days
A huge mistake

I have a question.
Nova change total cv2 ===> 3.2 billion
The colx rich list has a huge colx count.
Is it just a mistake or a scam?

http://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/COLX/richlist.php

The total number of 1 ~ 4 is more than 10 billion
The reason why colx prices are falling is obvious
People who have seen this will be feeling a shock.

Wouldn't this just be exchange wallets?  Roll Eyes

Lets wait...if those wallets will stake when POS will start, then those surely belongs to someone. Right?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the first wallet in the richlist is most likely Nova Exchange's swap wallet.  One of the wallets is probably dev funds as well.

Does anyone have the exact  Wallet files  I need to get from Github to run a Masternode on VPS?

Thanks.  I'm using Ubuntu 16.04 x64.  Should be good once MN's are active Cheesy

The opening post of this thread also contains Linux wallets.
You can also compile the wallet using the instructions in /doc. Quite some work though, because of the dependencies.
