https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2142722.msg24027261#msg24027261Turing, it is really great news, I wonder which project deliver fastest blockchain: waves, bitshares, nem, ethereum or maybe another one project? but On the other hand I am disappointed a little that only 1000bch will be distributed, I was hoping they distribute all BCH or at least greater part.. em.. I hope WCT will be profitable at last 1'000 Bitcoin cash is only the first batch. There will be many more batches coming. It was said in Q&A. Could you remind me how much bitcoin from ICO left in Waves devs hands? Or can I find any financial report of Waves? I was asking about them, but I cant see any answer.. Well, i remember they said that ~5'000 out of 30'000 BTC have been used and part of the rest is changed to fiat so i guess some 20'000+ Bitcoins will be on their position still. I think Sasha said in the last Q&A that they have withdrawn 6k BTC but still have some some in fiat from that withdraw. This means that they should have about 24k BTC left. So they have a lot more capital then after the ICO, they should also have 24k BCH and 24k BCG. 24,000 bitcoins is a huge amount to have during these forks. I wonder if there will be more BCH airdrops for Waves community tokens holders in the future and possibly also have BCG airdrops. If the Waves team make airdrops of BCH, BCG and future bitcoin forks solely for WCT holders, it would skyrocket the price instantly and no one would want to sell their WCTs. WCTs will eventually pay for itself from the airdrops.

Do you mean leasing? You can't lease to yourself unless you're a master node.

If you're talking about leasing out Waves, that amount is too small to be profitable. I wouldn't even bother doing it. You can earn much more waves just from draining the waves faucets like on www.wavesdrop.com. You can use this link to calculate how many waves you can earn from leasing out your waves. http://wavesgo.com/stats#tab-3

During the Q&A, Sasha must have forgotten it was a national holiday in Russia, last Monday.
So nobody showed up at work...
But!!!
Next Thursday, november 9th, the (not so) long awaited BitcoinCash (BCC) airdrop to WavesCommunityToken (WCT) holders is set to take place!
So hold on to your WCT!!!

Yes, definitely hold onto your Waves community tokens since there's only 10 million WCT in existence. That's 1/10 of the total tokens that Waves has, it's much rarer. Holding onto WCT will pay for itself if the team keeps giving airdrops for having them. I hope this BCH airdrop is the first of many.

Waves is very undervalued right now, it's the perfect buying opportunity to pick up cheap Waves before it takes off and turns into a Tsunami. Bitcoin is getting all the attention at the moment but once it cools off after the fork or if we're lucky before the fork, the price of Waves will increase for sure.

I always admire the website of waves. But the only problem I have is that I think there are fewer people actively participating in the trading portion. No active announcements of new releases of tokens and that searching for trades are a bit hard since you need to manually enter the name of the token (which for my slow internet does not work) or by putting the token identifier which works. Maybe a redesign of the website might be useful.

Beta release of the new DEX is coming Nov 20. Whishes granted I posted my previous post then saw the announcement just a few responses back and I was like 'whoah!'. I am hopeful that the new website can attract more people to check the waves tokens and perhaps be able to make the site more active.

WCT were created to save waves price and now they are stealing waves price. It would be honest to buy back all WCT's from people and burn them. Give me a single reason why WCT needed? Everything could be fine with just waves as a community token.

They were airdropped to Waves holders and will play an important role in voting, the future Waves DAO, etc. And well, the single reason has been given. You can just sell your WCT and hold your Waves. You will be fine, both are potential space rockets. Here's more information on WCT https://blog.wavesplatform.com/waves-community-tokens-e9e8b5db0b49

This is what I saw on facebook : During the live Q&A sessions last week Waves Platform CEO Alexander Ivanov announced the airdrop of Bitcoin Cash to Waves Community Token holders. I only have few of these WCT but this is awesome news, they'd be distributing BCH this Nov 9. Keeping those WCT in my wallet is one thing that made WAVES still a good keep.

The new waves dex is looks very amazing, i think this will be a important point in the history of waves. From now on we will see a strong rising of the price, in one year we will hit 50 dollar.

I have waves rented in Waveslite but when I entered the application I can not see them and what's worse I can not cancel them. How can I withdraw or sell my waves if they are retained?

"To cancel a lease, click on the black button in the far right column of the Leasing Transactions table below and select Cancel Leasing."
