Traffic jam on the blockchain highway
edit: * situation 1h later:
Hehe, looks like someone was really testing the blockchain After the Waves-NG launch we can handle 8.6 million transactions per day (100tx/s) and it can be increased to at least 86 million transactions per day when needed. Should be enough Worlds most adopted cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, can only handle ~650,000 tx/day. Should be enough atm, but if the DEX start to attract a lot of new users, the nodes will have to be optimized

It is understandable that there might be some sort of delays when having so much traffic. How many transactions a second would you expect when the new Dex ui will be up and running?

So there's more than enough time to scale before it's required for Waves.

IDK but 100tx/s should be enough And even if it's full, it doesn't really matter to wait a few seconds before it's executed.

If 100tx/s is "enough", why does the waves team spend budget on the whole waves ng thing? ;-) Traffic jam on the blockchain highway

Waves is one of the best projects in crypto in one year we can be as big as Ethereum for sure. Dex will be a huge step in the right direction.

Q: You state you can do 100 transactions per second, can WAVES -NG be pushed to do more or is this it’s limit? A: Yes, it can. But we need to decide together. If we are ready to spend more miner’s resources to do this. Currently 100tx/s is ok for our demands. Then we’ll work on node’s optimization and increase it when needed. 100tx/s is enough for now, intensive testing on testnet proofs it's capable to scale over 1000tx/s when needed.

Have you estimated the returns for leasing with various benchmarks up to 100tx/s yet? Would love to see some numbers of what could possibly be expected in the future.

It really depends on how many transactions are filling the blocks. In theory, one minute could be worth 6 Waves in fees when every (micro)block is filled, or even 60 Waves when we hit 1000tx/s. But it really depends on transactions and trades on the DEX. It's nice to know by the way that the MRT reward for small pools / nodes has been raised, so leasing to a small pool will give you a much higher reward (and 1 MRT = currently ~ $0,10).

Hi all, I have asked to receive a small amount of bitcoin (0.0002BTC) on my waves account. However, after 62 confirmations, I cannot see the bitcoin in my waves account. Any thought?

When you open the deposit screen in the Waves Lite client, it says: To deposit BTC to your Waves account, please send BTC to the address below. The minimum amount of deposit is 0.01 BTC. You may want to contact support: http://support.wavesplatform.com

Now we can relay only on the questions and answers session's results to make some sense of the things what is going on. That is interesting request by one mate about leak screenshots of the close alpha testing. It was not out probably now one wants to create hype and has eyes on long term gains which to last more.
