I think these three coins are very safe to invest,  I  believe this coins will be rise . For now we just need to be patient. I think this year the price of these three coins will increase, maybe 5/10 times.

WAVES is safe but you shouldn't have much expectation because it's slow in every rally.
NEO will be better every day. It's both safe and potential to grow multiple times.
I don't know about VIA. What's that purpose?

In my opinion , btc is the most safest and secured crypto currency in the world. Market is volatile right now. But I think this is the nature of the market, and it is natural. But please do a research before buying.

If I were you I would go with tron waves or eos. You can get profit from them in long term. And you can also go with bitcoin, it’s prize is low and it will rise soon for sure.

would you make lasting your investment?
If for 1 year, I mean until December 2018, you should invest
in 3 different coin:

1. 400$ in Cindicator (Cnd).
2. 400$ in Ada Cardano (Ada).
3. 200$ in Stellar Lumens (XLM).

Please, answer me in December 2018 and you will
tell me from your 1.000$ initial how much you will have, ok?

I trust NEO now, it has the potential of becoming new Ethereum. We know that Chinese and Far East Asia markets are very crowded and attractive for investors. I would hold my NEO for very long term. If I choose only one coin that would be NEO.

I suggest to buy a monero because monero is a new cryptocurrency but the price or amount of monero is totally increase unlike other currencies. Monero is an open source and totally 100% private and anonymous block chain base currency. I think 2 years from now monero will bypass the top one and two currency like bitcoin and etherium.
