I've got 1/10 BTC from 2014 lol.

Should it be done at one time or in pieces? Wait for some dips or red days? Bring it down to $5k... $1k?

$10k investment ?

For example :
 - $ 5K for buying bitcoins (~1.2 btc, it is not so much)
 - $ 2k for buying ZCoin (XZC)
 - $ 2k for buying Minereum (MNE), before the ARTEMINE is better
 - $ 1k for buying LiBryCcoin (LBRY/LBC).

My advice is go for all of the platform coins (Stratis, waves, EOS, ark).. theres many more.

Do you want to invest in a house.. or the land all the houses are built on?

I will buy waves 75% and 25% follow ICO which has good quality. and hope in 2019 it will be 100k $

If you want to hold them in long-term better to invest in proved coins with high marketcap like Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, Monero and Waves.

I think that now will not fall, as it was already recently. I would still add a couple of coins such as Strat, etc.

I would definitely go with Stratis and Waves, but not miss out on Eth and Btc as well. I have been holding on Strat and Waves for sometime now and didn't get much out of it, tho I expect a good gain in long term.

Look outside the top 50 or even top 100 for high returns but do a lot of research first.
Look for OLD projects where the dev have never stopped working and constantly tick off items on their road maps.

I feel the top 100 is riddled with shit at the moment that will not be there when people realise the entire project is based upon dreams and talk that will never reach fruition.

Some older projects in the top 100 of course are doing well.

Some of the very recent ones will succeed but what have they done yet ? and what do they still need to do?

If there is a retrospective crack down on coins that were distrubuted via icos then that is something that needs consideration too.

POW coins do not have this worry.

So many things to consider.

I won't suggest any specific projects here but research is key.
Also a couple of upcoming very interesting projects so save some powder. Radix perhaps old project not yet released. Anonymint's will be worth a look of course. I have no idea on the manner of distribution of either of those.

BTC : 40%
ETH: 20%
OMG: 20%
Wave: 10%
ICOs: 10%

bitcoin 55%
syscoin 20%
waves 15%
lisk 10%
It's an allocation that will use if I positioned you. But all decisions are in your hands, lest you regret and blame others.
You need to know the risk in crypto is very high.

I would suggest to invest in both BTC and ETH. The percentage in each doesn't matter since BTC prices will effect ETH prices.
The reasoning behind it is that they both seem to be the most "stable" coins and the most likely to continue increasing in value.

All other coins are miles ahead on the risk factor, so I'd avoid them unless you personally want to gamble.

Keep half of them on btc. Because cryptomarket is so crazy nowadays you can collect cheaper whenever you get opportunity.

I would tend to agree on keeping about half in bitcoin, maybe another quarter in ethereum and then spread the remaining quarter around a few different altcoins.

As far as which altcoins, I have a few Ripple (XRP), Minereum (MNE), and I'm stocking up on DeepOnion at the moment (see my signature).

I think you should let us know your risk tolerance and your time horizon.  For long term holding and lower risk I'd go BTC all the way.  If I suddenly had 10k to spend, I'd put 75% in BTC, then I'd spread the remainder into some riskier coins:

• DeepOnion
• Waves
• Omisego (during a dip)

Waves is a high hope and one that is pushed by about 75% of people on here. It's a long way from any major gains and hasn't moved forward in months when other coins have. The leasing program is absolutely shit.



Go for NEM, OMG or Ark or BTC if you want to be super safe.
