If we can educate our kids at home why do we need to send them at school?

If socialization is a problem in homeschooling, there are many solutions to that ;-)

It's better to educate kids at school than at home. Children can learn a lot and they need some time to learn how to be independent. Imagine if your kid started homeschooling since he or she was a kid until college. How do you think will your kid handle the pressure if they would start dealing with the competitive professional life.

I think both has good effect to kids. Studying at school reduces stress and pressure from school. However, school can teach your kids to adjust from different kinds of people in our society, they would learn to socialize and blend in. There's a lot of things that kids can learn from school that can't be learned at home, and vice versa. Choose what is best for your kids.

Probably because humans act solely on impulse and don't plan ahead. If people learned about finances in their earlier lives, they wouldn't need full-time jobs by the time they have children and then they could easily homeschool their kids.
But good luck pouring any sense into people who can't even keep themselves from buying every single iPhone that comes out instead of investing some money so they can be financially free in the future.

I think the negative effects of going to a state regulated school FAR OUTWEIGHT the positive gains from it. THe bullying the superficial friends the popularity contests and the list goes on it is all bullshit that has brought a lot of headaches to my life as well as I can imagine millions of others. I am going to educate my kids myself and for them to have discipline and interatcion with other kids I will enroll them in extra activties like sports etc. where they can meet kids their own age. SCHOOL IS BULL****

I think it is amazing enough to believe that we are qualified enough at the moment to be able to educate people to become an adult future with the ability to be totally contextual in their time!

I think it is interesting to know that for insurance we are adults at 23 years of age. So the maturity is not already at 18 years. So pretending to educate a child to all knowledge, or to all the awakening to the world alone (or with his / her partner) is totally illusory.

School learns facts, science. It is up to us to teach them methodical doubt, to take nothing as cash and stumbling. Wake them up with critical thinking. But the learning of mathematics, biology, chemistry, philosophy, languages ... Let's stop.

Only people who want to create their own clone or their own projection of their broken ideals may consider this. Moreover, a child needs socialization to be an adult capable of opening up to others and communicating.

Forming friendship and relationships is one of the reason why it's necessary for Children to be educated at schools, sending the children to school also challenges them to better themselves at every turn, there will be no one to compete to when they are home schooled.

I think that yes we can teach our children some lessons on academics in our home but there is also something in schools in the side of formal education that makes the learnings a bit easier and the teaching more fluid. Not to say that we are learned but that is why teachers exist and schools does too

We need to send them to school because you cannot teach them all what they have to learn, you only can teach them what you know. And when you send them to school, they learn how to compete with other students.

Because the system demands to have our children educated by its own institutions, so that brainwashing and manipulation may begin at a young age in order for our children to grow into proper sheep, taking in, accepting and believing everything they are told...
 Huh

Unfortunately, this is exactly what happens. But if the parents from the very childhood will explain to the children that the school says a lot of untruth, then the child will not become a sheep.

You are absolutely right. It is the parents' responsibility to keep their children vigilant so that they won't be taken away with the flow becoming proper sheep...
Unfortunately, the system has taken this into to account hundreds of years before and has made sure that the parents will be so busy working like slaves 24/7 as well as has provided them with so many different options in regards to how they could spend their little extra time that's left, that they haven't got the energy, the will, the time nor the knowledge on how to actually achieve keeping their kids awake... cause they themselves have also been taken aback by the system...
It's a never ending circle unfortunately. It's like driving on a round about that has no exit...

It is not about socializing the kids which is one of the matters but to kid learn how to live with other people and behave in right way. If the kid is at home he does not have oportunity to feel some thing or to try them. If you give the kid all freedom to choose the kid will choose what it likes and not what society wants from him to choose. That kind of freedom is in school.

What If You're Forced To Homeschool?

The most likely to occur disastrous events don't have a long duration before order begins to be restored. Natural disasters can be devastating, but most are relatively localized and the response and recovery time is a couple weeks to a month at the longest. Your children might miss some school, but the time is usually made up at the end of the year or possibly by extending the school day.

Think Katrina

But every now and then a major event happens, like Hurricane Katrina, that disrupts entire geographic areas and devastates schools.

Katrina completely destroyed 110 of 126 New Orleans public schools, displacing more than 60,000 students. A year later, the school system was only able to accommodate the return of half the students. It is estimated that more than 400,000 students in the Katrina ravaged regions had to move to other cities to attend school.

we can indeed teach and provide education for children at home by ourselves, but there are some things that we may not be able to teach at home and can only be in the school environment where the school environment teaches children to socialize, befriend and practice science theory directly.
it is possible that by studying at home alone the child has a tendency to be bored and shut out from the wider environment, he will be a little difficult to socialize.

Going to school is not all about learning subjects, you also build character out of your kids. There they learn failure and how to cope with it. Thats one thing you cant teach at home no matter how good the tutor are.

We need to send them at school because it is our responsibility and that is their right. Educating at home has a big difference in educating at school. As parents, we send our kids to school for them to learn not just in terms of academics but also in terms of socialization. What we teach at home is different from their school's lessons. At home, we discipline them and we mold them to be a better person while at school they learn how to cope up with things that they need to learn for them to get a god job and future someday.

Every school is different, and every country is different regarding their schools. In addition, people have different resources to spend on educating their children.

Many schools in America's big cities are little more that baby sitting stations. The kids would be far better off being taught at home.

I think home schooling is permissible for children if health problems, then it is in full normal. But if a perfectly normal, healthy child, why should it be deprived of normal schooling.
You imagine how boring it is home-schooling the child will quickly get bored.

You got your point there but sending kids to school is the best after all because a parent does not have all the knowledge he needs, parents only discipline them and love but school showcase their talent and improve their skills more. Getting real friend will be a kid's bonus

I agree with you. Yes kids can learn different things and knowledge at home but sending them to school is the best and right thing to do. They can learn new things in school and they can improve their social activities because of their friends. There also some activities that schools can offer that they cannot do n home. Schools also mold their students to become a good role model to other people.
