I trade mainly altcoins with BTC but sometimes I also go to Etherdelta and find real bargains there. I hardly go BTC/Fiat unless I want to cash in some profits. You can also trade on Bitmex and trade with margin.

Yes i do. I do trade altcoins with bitcoin because bitcoin is the main cryptocurrency in the market of altcoins so if you have bitcoin then you can trade all of the coins in the altcoin market without a problem and it is easy for me to use bitcoin because i will earn in bitcoin also and the process of converting it into fiat is also easy.

I am doing both type of the trading .
But my main priority is with the altcoins with bitcoin trading because altcoins trading with btc us better because in that we don't need to wait for the clients because lots of the numbers of the people remains available at the exchange for the trading .
But opposite of the altcoins trading , in bitc by fiat trading is better option to make sure and small profit easily but we need to wait to to get client , usually most of the people don't want start trading with bitcoin because for them it is not easy to get buyers and sellers.
And also at trading site for bitcoin with cash at localbitcoins.com faced. Big fee ... , So here for direct p2p deal we need to get better reputation because without reputation no one can make direct deal .
So depending upon the person that from how long time he is in this field .

Yes I trade altcoin with BTC, I do this for the amount of BTC continues to grow because if the price of BTC also rises then we get the profit also from the increase in price. Another reason to trade altcoin with BTC is will be more altcoin available with large volume.

I have traded fiat for Bitcoins and I have traded Bitcoins for altcoins. I started out trading Bitcoins with Litecoins. My theory was that if Bitcoin was up relative to Litecoin, I would sell my Bitcoins for Litecoins and if Litecoin was up relative to Bitcoin, I would sell my Litecoins for Bitcoins. This was a few years ago and basically it didn't work because Bitcoin was moving up and Litecoin was not moving much so I gave up on that strategy.

I moved on to trading Bitcoins for US dollars until Bitcoin went up over $1000 and it became too hard to trade because it just kept going up. Now I only trade altcoins for US dollars. But I just hold some coins like Bitcoins and IOTA.

I trade altcoin with bitcoin because there are many altcoins that have low volume so the potential of it to rise is bigger like 2x or higher but the potential of it to fall is higher as well so you either have huge profit or huge loss. Cryptocurrencies are very volatile and price are highly affected by news because of its low volume so there are many trading opportunities from it. It is also enticing to the traders to trade cryptos because of the volatility so the opportunity to enter the market is limitless.

I could say that fundamental analysis has a bigger role in trading cryptos than technical analysis do but they both are needed to maximize the potential profit. The herd mentality is rampant in cryptos that's why many expert traders can take advantage buying low and selling high especially if there are news about a certain coin.

i am trading altcoin with btc in poloniex, bittrex, cryptopia and sometimes in yobit. i think with trading we can make our bitcoin increase beside we can have a long term altcoin investment. but in the other time, i am trading btc pair fiat too if i see there is any opportunity for me to make my fiat grow. i can have two side trading which can help me to increase my bitcoin and also my fiat in the same time.

Yes I do trade altcoin with bitcoin but not bitcoin with fiat currency like USD. This is because am a day trader and most of the factors affect that bitcoin vs altcoin are lesser as compare the bitcoin vs fiat currency in my opinion, though stand to be corrected.

I have purchased hashing power with USD fiat, but only once to get a foot in the door.  Now I mostly just scrape together what I can make a little profit from and then try to squeeze as much BTC out of it as I can for conversion to fiat, as I had to retire early and live on a fairly fixed income and every little bit helps that I can keep Uncle Sam away from.

Trying to have more knowledge about the trading system and I will pick alts to bitcoin because withdeawing it to USD will make me pay more with the deposit fee. It would be better to keep it that way and I can easily exchange it back to what altcoin I want.
Thats it for me. Just want to escape the fees and somehow secure my bitcoin when the price suddenly decreases.

its better this way since bitcoin value still fluctuating and who knows what will be the value after some time, unlike to usd that it will be that value no matter
what happen the only concerned would be if the value of btc drop and your trade will also be in a lesser value. but I would suggest to keep checking the
advantage of trading alt to btc.

You should have diversified knowledge, because most of the altcoins have difference in the market value for btc as well USD. It's good to analyze and do trading with the profitable pairing. Being a day trader is good, until the profiting is possible.

I do altcoin trading with my bitcoin, I already get a lot of profit from altcoin trading, altcoin is very useful to double my bitcoin.

yes ,  most  people trade  altcoin with BTC,  or  trade  altcoin with eth , ETC, LTC.     you  can   change  any   altcoin   to  these  main  cryptcurrency.

Well for me I usually trade with btc and eth. It's the most convenient way for me to trade because many exchanges are accepting this but I'll check first the exchanges if what is the most reasonable to use. Then after trading I convert it again to bitcoin or eth.

ETH and BTC still remains the best option if you know how to trade safely. They can easily give you the best wins than losses than any other altcoins you may want to trade. Although, there are so many other altcoins too that have great support and backing. It is just to know the right one to key into.

Mistakes people do is to want to trade all the markets at once but sometimes it is best you have selected coins based on research that won't give you heartache than gambling all the coins all at once.

i also think that most of the people are doing the same, they are using bitcoin for trading altcoin, as bitcoin is the main currency which people are using for different purpose, while the rest of the altcoin people use them for trading and investment purposes. to me i personally use bitcoin for trading altcoin and making good profit from it, i also use bitcoin for shopping online and for so many other purposes.
