To my opinion Ethereum is altcoin with good perspective and worth investing. Still I would give advantage to Bitcoin but if you have enough funds you could split your investment on both of these coins and on that way also diminish the potential risk. Both of these coins are good for investing but each on its own way.

It depends. If you believe the day will come where Ethereum matches Bitcoin's market cap, then it is better to buy Ether now and trade it for Bitcoin when the market cap's match. That will get you a lot more btc for your fiat than just buying bitcoin now.
 However this is based on Eth getting to BTC's market cap which is not guaranteed of course.

Bitcoin will be good choice if you wanted to invest in the long term. It's already gain a massive attentions and the number of people who got interested in this coin seems to increase from time to time. That's a good signal for us that in the future the price of bitcoin could reach the number that we didn't imagine today.

I would go with Bitcoin any time of the day. Because Satoshi Nakamoto is much better than Vitalik Buterin. Satoshi was a genuine guy, who wanted to end the banker monopoly and the wall street dominance.

One could see that Ethereum is clear catching up to Bitcoin, and with the number of new ICO increasing daily, Ethereum would be a better choice to invest in the short term. In my opinion investing in ethereum would be a good idea now .. As you see the price of bitcoin its almost 4000$+ now and ethereum price is almost 300.. Bitcoin price was almost 500$ last year and now 4000 ... If you buy ethereum now in 300$ it can hit 2000$ in about one year ...
So in my opinion Ethereum is the best option to buy right now...

my prediction, BITCOIN is more potential than ETH. I think what's happening now is great for purchases. I believe there will be bubbles for crypto and bitcoin.

I doubt if that day would ever come when ETH capitalization would match that of BTC, but that is unnecessary, both coins have their own paths and unique attributes and I don't see Bitcoin relinquishing its hold as a leader.

I think it's better to invest in bitcoin because altcoin just mimics the style of bitcoin and bitcoin demand in the market is also very high. besides the bitcoin will still continue to exist in the long time, altcoin many are not clear but ethereum is very different from other altcoin where ethereum has many fans in the world crypto.

Why choose when you can have them both. Both coins have high daily volumes. If you trade them properly, you can earn substantially on both of these coins. And I do not think any of these coins are going out of the market anytime soon. Both of them will stay and profitable for  quite some time.

For long term investment why not invest for both? Because both of them still has alot of potential within. Eth now is playing around 280-350usd and i think in the future maybe eth's price can increase up to 1000 usd or more. On the otherhand bitcoin's price now is so high but i think it will still go up so its better to invest in bitcoin for long term.
