Well can someone correct me that, technology-wise, Bitcoin has a huge technological difference with Ethereum, with the latters capability to create tokens for others to utilise with. Short term with Bitcoin??? So funny! Bitcoin is the cryptocurrency has highest value in the cryptocurrency market, it can not increase its value easily like altcoins. Because, it needs to has a good reason and its trending will have many troubles on the growth road. As far as I know, Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency for long term investment and Ethererum also like Bitcoin.

If you want to make a sure income (it could be low) better to invest in Bitcoin with it's value for the past weeks you may predict whether the price will go up or down but in my own perception, if you want to have a long term investment you will go to ethereum. In my opinion I think Ethereum will offer you the best long-term investment. Bitcoin is likely to appreciate more within the next couple of years, but that is due to it's popularity, the public in generally just now picking up about the blockchain and the first thing that comes to everyone's lip when talking about Blockchain is Bitcoin. When people will have learned more about how blockchain is working and what is possible due to that, they will research about alternatives to Bitcoin and find out that services such as Ethereum have vast more applications than just transfering one coin to another person. Investing in Ethereum is more reasonable than investing in Bitcoin. Because everybody knows it's faster. Continuous operation of Ethereum's developer team makes a big difference to Bitcoin.

If you think long term, both coins have advantages and disadvantages.
Bitcoin has no road map whatsoever, and soon enough our planet will not be able to produce enough energy for mining. It means hard forks and conflicts between developers, and more hard forks.
An advantage is the user base, of course.

In the meantime, Ethereum has a very strong leadership (Vitalik). This is a plus.

It's much better to be more diverse. You should not just concentrate on bitcoin and ethereum. You should focus on other coins and he much you willing to invest to each coin. It's never a good idea to put everything in just one or two baskets. Also rather make smaller profits at a time. Reduce the risk that way. Bring lots of smaller safer profit and it will add up.

That is reasonable, but at the same time most of the other coins are going to be lot more risky that is why for the investor that is trying to avoid risks the best thing to do is to invest in the safest coins and there is not doubt that bitcoin and ethereum are the safest investments, and people like me prefer to play it even safer and only invest in bitcoin since it is going to take a major event for bitcoin to disappear.
