that's my plan right now all except litecoin i acknowledge are a punt... well even ltc is a bit of a punt really but safer bet than the rest.
PNX is a punt but i still like the odds of it hanging around and increasing in value over time, we'll see.

Never ask that question here as there is 99.99% chance that answers you'll get will be about coins that people who are answering are loaded with.
Mine bitcoin and litecoin as most established and secure ones while watching market for few days, than you'll get better picture of it and be able to pick one on your own.
Pretty much nobody here doesn't give a flying one about you and won't give you advice to help you but the one that might help them.

I would say SMC right now. The coin is relatively stable, and its difficulty is low (0.00760965).
EDIT: I mean stable in network terms.

What is SMC? I know the dev says it's experimental, but in my experience, the software and network is very stable. |

As of today
Bitcoin - very safe
Litecoin - safe
DGC - Potential to be THE next alt-coin. However too soon to tell. At least safe to mine as long as profitability on coinchoose is >100%. If profitability stays over 100% as a effect of increase in price (and not decrease in difficulty) for next few days then definitely a winner in my opinion.
YAC - Not sure what the profitability is at the moment as it is not on coinchoose but do your math and if you have free cpu definitely worth a go. No go if you have a decent GPU only OR dont have a decent cpu.
All other coins announced lately - Check which phase they are at of the pump and dump cycle.
1. Coin launched.
2. Coin pre-mined.
3. Coin on exchange.
4. Coin dumped by miners.
5. Profitability below 100% and falling. Check the reason for fall in profitability. If profitability is falling due to prices going down then its almost dead. If prices go down + profitability goes down + difficulty goes down. its definitely DEAD.
6. Cycle is over. move on to another pump and dump coin and mine it till it hit the exchange.
