I do not want to offend anyone - but I think this fork is just as useless as all the other forks of bitcoin.

Hello,
Does anybody know which wallets plan to support the Bitcoin Gold (BTG) friendly fork on October 1st? And what, if anything, should be done by the user?
sorry but BTG actually is a disaster after BTC fork, it has no value.

Hello Guys, I need your help to recover my bitcoin gold from my exodus private key So I explain. I had my bitcoins on exodus wallet on my MAC before the fork, but since exodus is not supporting the fork and BTG, I decided to transfer my BTC to my ledger nano S wallet. The fork was supposed to happen on the 25/10 on bloc 491407, so the 24/10 at 2:34PM I transferred my BTC from Exodus wallet to my ledger nano S. The problem is that the transaction took place on bloc 491 494, after the snapshot and the fork which come earlier that expected!! So to get back my bitcoin gold, I had to export my private key from exodus, and import it into coinomi for example , following this thread: https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/63088/claiming-my-btg-from-my-btc-private-keyBut when I follow the steps, and I sweep my wallet in coinomi, I got the following message "The private key does not contain any funds". So I went there ( https://bitinfocharts.com/bitcoin%20gold/ ) and entered the public key of my BTC wallet in exodus, and I can see the amount that I earn. Do you know why coinomi is telling me that my private key does not contain any fund? Is there anyone who can help me getting back my BTG? Thanks a lot for your help!

Comparison chart where is bitcoin diamand at this table??? Or you doesnt heared about this fork? Very soon u have to update your table every week Good one. But joke aside, this table does imply that BitCore is the best version of Bitcoin right? Thats the one that is trading at around 30USD now and was airdropped in some sort to holders or bitcointalk forum members if I remember correctly. What makes this fork superior? The different mining algorhytm or the blocksize?

Don't sweep the wallet by key, use a fresh Coinomi and choose restore wallet by key (word seed).

What you did looks crazy, please see https://github.com/Ayms/bitcoin-transactions#addresses-and-getting-free-coinsYou had BTCs at block 491407, then you have the same amount of BTGs today As explained in the above link there is no story of 'transfering' coins from btc to btg, you have them already, but you can use this module instead of 'transfering' from a wallet to another If you want to move your BTGs (to an exchange for example) you can do as explained, ie retrieving from a bitcoin explorer the state of your unspent outputs/transactions before block 491407

Considering whats going with BCH, its wise to not sell the BTG, hodl NEO, BTG, ETH or what ever, just not the BTC.

BCH price flattened in 1st week of Oct and struggled to top $350 before it finally broke out BTG due to it's algo flattened much sooner and despite all obsticles and consumer sentiment never dipped below $100 a most in this thread suggested. Asian countries who dominate in ASIC equipment fear GPU mining because it in essence renders their entire farms obselete. Windows 1.0 was released on November 20, 1985 and today many upgrades later like it or not it has evolved. BTC is no different. As soon as some exchange list BCH or BTG as a core market (and soon it will happen) BTC and its slow block time will be dethroned. Everythingget replaced. BTC is no different.

I work for a us based hedge fund and in 2016 the US wanted in on Bitcoin and had a secret meeting with the Chinese to get in the game. see for yourself https://www.nytimes.com/2016/07/03/business/dealbook/bitcoin-china.htmlAfter being told to go to hell by the Asians the US basically worked with devs to develop a currency that would allow the US into the market. The US has been creating laws, and banking rules to legitimize crypto and guess what US currency is back by (GOLD). The SECwould very much allow a SPR index for crypto and BTG gives them that tool. BTC was a great introduction but not good for practical use. Who would by grocerys in a market, scan a QR code to pay with BTC and wait 190minutes for confirmations? The world wants in on crypto and China's dominace has come to its end with the use of ASIC. Probably by the time the next BTC halving in 2020.

Hi - does anyone know how to retrieve BTG through an electrum wallet containing a segwit address - "3" address? I've downloaded the BTG core wallet and followed a wiki step by step on how to "importprivkey" and it returned a null message. I checked my transactions / balance within the BTG core wallet and it did not transfer my BTG coins from the private key. What's going on? Am I doing something wrong? Is it possible somebody already transferred it? I looked it up on the blockchain (public address) and it said there was BTG. How do I know if someone transferred it or something? When I do: importprivkey xGgCvhjaxxxxx98WDxvb MyExample It doesn’t pull any balance for me or a transaction history. On my other computer, I had .003 BTC at the time of the fork. My address on that one began with a “1” and I was able to recover my BTG through coinomi. However — when I try through my Mac, my electrum wallet public address begins with a “3” and coinomi doesn’t recognize it.... idk what else to do and it’s driving me crazy because not even the BTG core wallet pulls anything besides null and 0 transactions....
