ok , that was quick  Cheesy

done I will pay dividends now

=(  I was gonna cancel my buy orders and jsut buy at market if they were not filled by the 30th. oh well..

If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

The last dividend looks nice, how come it was so large? Is it just a once off for some special reason?

Also I think there may be an error in the payment date, the last 2 dividend payments are listed as 30/11/11.

thanks

Last dividend was large due to high amount of gratuity (on loans), also sold some shares, you can look at the previous report in page 19.

sorry missed those details on the previous page. thanks.
some very nice gratuities in the last period Smiley. Seems to be working well. Good luck.

A Buddhist , an atheist or a christian could do the same, i.e non-interest based banking. It doesn't have to be a 'muslim' thing or an 'islamic' thing. If Christians followed the bible, there maybe would be many non-interest based banks. The core basic principles are not dealing with pork, alcohol, arms, interest based businesses etc.. which jews/christians/muslims believe is good for society.

I think 0% interest loan is good whether its a 1000 year old thing or not. Good in the past, good in the present, good in the future.

In terms of principle I agree that no usury/interest is honorable.

In terms of the need of modern entities to gain access to money I believe that interest based banks do provide a service.

Though the financial industry, typically, embodies pomp and "earns" huge profits.

Does the financial industry represent a level of greed that is immoral.

I'm just after getting back from London(gone since Tuesday), charts.glbse.com is not showing any updates since the 12th.

For the moment, all the latest trades for GLBSE can be found on it's twitter feed here.

I'm contacting the operator of charts to find out what the story is.

Maybe you could allow deposits (= web wallet service) and then allow people to put up loan requests that can be filled by someone or several people that have done deposits? This way you wouldn't have to worry about scams (that I personally believe to be inevitable) but still can facilitate 0% loans.

No, customers could look at loan requests and decide for themselves to fill them, maybe similar to kiva.org.

Thans for the invite and bits!

When you apply for a loan, does it adds up to your balance, or it is instantly sent to your wallet address?
I couldn't try it because I don't see the "Withdraw loan" or such button under loans? Or loan aspect is still under construction and not for testing?

The site is a giant leap forward after almost a year of micro stepping.

Should this thread be moved to the securities sub-forum. It seems like its out of 'development' now. Smiley

It gets a bit lost by itself in here.
