I don't know why people got panic so easily. People are currently dumping massive coins in the market because of China's action to regulate Bitcoin. What do you think people should do instead of dumping their coins just like that in the market that lead to damage the value of bitcoin?

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

I think that only newbies are dumping their bitcoins due to panic. Its a regular reaction by newbies to such critical situations. But i think that most of others are just shorting by selling their bitcoins at today's price and they fully hope that bitcoin price would go down more so that they could once again buy more bitcoins at cheap price. They have clear knowledge that bitcoin price would rise after some time. This is not panic slling and this is termed as shorting.

I didn't dump or touched my bitcoin for now just like what I promised to myself that I won't be selling anymore until it reaches another new ATH that's good to me. We can't blame the people to get panic easily and it's happening all the time when there's a bad news, FUD's that are spread throughout the internet. People must be calm and just wait, simple as that.

I'm also one of those who didn't dump my bitcoins and I agree with other members that it's newbies or people who don't have much knowledge of bitcoin and the market as how it works or has behaved in the past are dumping their bitcoin, they don't realise the mistake they are making and they will be the one's regretting the most in the coming days when bitcoin will recover and the prices will begin rising. The only advice which can be given is don't panic, keep patience and hold your coins.

This is different case, the china want to banning Bitcoin and all the exchanger will be closed down, with that situation the investors from China will have difficulty to exchange crypto currencies, so like it or not they were forced to sell the coin because it will be very troublesome to exchange crypto currencies with Fiat in the future, so most of the dump is coming from China investors

I did dump it at around $4700, not that I had a lot to begin with.  I don't
regret it now.  I actually spent it (as opposed to selling it for cash).
The China thing has people spooked,  and I didn't figure it was going
to take much to puncture this bubble.  But then again, this could just
be a serious dip.  We'll see in a week or two if bitcoin rebounds.

Obviously there is no real way of knowing but I am sure that a large majority of the dump is made up of Chinese investors. Currently one exchange is confirmed to be closing down and others may follow. The investors have really only one choice and that is to dump their coins whilst they still can. Of course some will also be from people who are panicking.

I think the big volume of bitcoin sell-off is coming from China and the rest are coming from amateur traders. I'm an underdog in crytocurrency but selling digital assets at a very low price is just insane. I believe in crypto thats why I keep hodling my assets as possible, because dumping it will just make bankers pocket happy in the near future.

It's a bit hard to tell who exactly is dumping Bitcoin, but whales and traders are usually the first to do so, and only after them come investors aka hodlers. So, maybe it's just some crazy speculation and manipulation and true hodlers haven't dumped yet. After all, there's no good reason to sell Bitcoin, it's pretty natural that some authoritarian government comes closer to banning Bitcoin, they are the same guys who banned Google and Wikipedia. The example of real panic and dumping would be if there was some bug in Bitcoin, or some developed countries like the U.S. or Germany has banned it.

I dont thinks it was everybody dumping bitcoin because we are here just monitoring and observing the situation. Well i believed it was the chinese people are the ones who dumping bitcoin because it was mandated by their government to do so. So maybe the huge volume of chinese people are doing the selling and thats make the bitcoin value declined. I just hope that there is only small percentage of chinese bitcoiners investors.

Just let them dump their own btc and panic. I bet they  really don't know what's happening and thinking bitcoin will die.
And it's not everybody because  professionals members here are so used to this situation. It just means to them that it's time to buy.

I can't believe you dumped it. Bitcoin will always rebound, never mind wait two weeks. It is a scarce digital asset with a deflationary monetary policy.

Just as what I have posted yesterday. the reason why China and other bankers wants to stop or regulate bitcoins because it has no legal basis.  And I think, they are partly right as there are no existing laws that covers Bitcoin earnings and the way it was spent... So I guess, their reasons are valid in a way.

It is clear that it is the negative FUD from Jamie Dimon and the possible ban from China. This is just temporary though as the price will bounce back.

I sold a couple millions of satoshi yesterday to buy something that me and my friend wanted but never dumped every portion of my bitcoin and the network wasnt busy yesterday. Others might be dumping their bitcoin because they can't handle more losses. Bitcoin could go down as low as $2,000 imo.

People are dumping because they cannot control their emotions that's why we should only invest what we can afford to lose so that we would not be prone to panicking.

Newbies dump because they came in late and don't want to lose money. If they would just hang on and not treat bitcoins like a shitty penny stock we'd all be fine. I never sell. I'm doing a hell of a lot better because of it.

Its an overreaction from the market which is very normal in times of unpredictability. Some say its manipulation.

Dont some of you find it funny that the Chinese media is releasing small and unreliable news instead of an official statement from the PBOC? BTCC is also doing it.

I didn't expect 10 no's and 0 yes, but I'm glad to see that result of voting until now. My answer is NO and I must share headline of one thread "hold your shields", you seen that, and that we should do now. Who is crazy to sell in 3000 dollars when price will go back on 5 and higher, nobody from here.
Headline of this thread should be changed, not everybody is dumping bitcoins, there is many of us here who don't feel panic from this big dip, votes are showing what community is thinking about dumping bitcoins.

Some investors didn't want to lose more than they can afford therefore some are on the panic mode.
For me I think instead of dumping their bitcoins I think we need to buy more so the value will not keep on falling. Smiley

The bitcoin price is decrease $1k to $3,380 from $4,380+ in the last 3 days, of course people will panicked because of this crashed. To be honest i'm also panicked and sell my bitcoins before it become more worse. More people will dump their bitcoins if no good news about bitcoin.

It's normal when Chinese holding 20% global market that will affect bitcoin value in world wide. As we know panic sell is inevitable but personally,  I keep hold my most bitcoin because I'm waiting for another segwit on October that will make bitcoin bubbling high !

It's because of bitcoins downfall. We can't blame them if they panic and sell their bitcoin because of the downfall. Those who are holding their bitcoins (like me) have high hopes that bitcoin will go up hopefully soon.

I dump some of my bitcoin because I really needed some money,
But for real if I have some Fiat I wouldn't dump it ,
And if I have some extra cash I would surely buy some bitcoin since it is being dump or the price is so low.

There is a reason for people to sell Bitcoin now beacuse of China actually banning the exchanges means that major player of Bitcoin which is China will have. Ow difficulty in buying and selling . This thier volume will drop significantly and this will also have an impact globally thus to be on a safer side people have being selling massively .

We can't blame them if they are too scared for what's happening right now, mostly those who dumped it are newbies on holding. I mwan maybe they.plan to hold t yet the price decrease so they will just dump it. It's normal that in every event in btc there are users who got panic.

Speculation would be my guess. BTC is a speculation driven market so it wouldn't be unlikely if a few parties manipulated markets to push them high through the past few months. Profit taking could've been curbed along with the market sentiment. Something however, has kicksarted a massive selloff in the recent days. Buying the dip memes aren't helping when everyone is selling and there's no sign of stopping. That's what happens in purely speculative markets.

If you are planning to dump bitcoins now, I guess you are too late already. If has plummeted to $3200 now. So it you sell it today, definitely we will have incurred great loss. This is not the time to dump it, but rather a good buying point. This is a perfect timing for those who want to go in the market specially if you are in for the long haul. So I advise newbies to instead of selling, grab bitcoin while its cheap because bitcoin will not die. Its just China that are waging wars against crypto's and you need to logical think that bitcoin is not just China, its a global revolution. So stop with all the dumps and instead get it today.

I also think the newbies are the ones dumping their coins, as far as I know or most of the people I know who are into bitcoin or in the cryptoworld are still holding on to their coins even if bitcoin is dumping hard. I don't think bitcoin is going down below $3000 though so I would still hold on to mines as well.

To be honest, I don't care what China is doing with Bitcoin because I have long term expectations from Bitcoin and I might buy during the dips but won't sell it as of now for next few years.

However, there are the people who are pure speculators and they want to earn a handsome profit from such incident. I have a friend who bought Bitcoin when the price was down in pre-fork period and he sold his investment when the price was $5,000 and now he is all set to start investing again so I don't see any other reason for dumping Bitcoins except speculative gains or panic sell.

Basicly, when some famous people said something about bitcoin, it will effect to all investors all over the world. For now, what happen? Jamie dimon said Bitcoin is a fraud even he doesn't have any evidence about it. But it effected to all investors. Make them dumping their future, their life. So sad.

It will go to $3k and then shoot up to $6 or $7k, maybe higher. It will then have to test $5k while it is up there. Trading is boring. It does the same thing over and over again. Panic sellers are great. I want their coins.

Well, I'm not and I'm a newbie. I just heard the bad news from China and I guess that's a huge factor. But it seems Bitcoins have enough infrastructure to not collapse entirely. Unless everyone sells tomorrow which is very unlikely obviously.

This is because they are getting worried of the downfall of bitcoin's price, they are panicking on what to do, majority sold their bitcoins. But for me, I will just hold my bitcoins. I will earn this eventhough it's not that big to invest to campaigns.

expect the price to dip because not only did a chinese exchange say they are shutting down but also huobi and okcoin are in "talks" with regulators. even though this is the truth and people are panic selling once it reaches a bottom we will see "regulated" flow of money back into btc and subsequent alts. poloniex just listed gas which is part of neo. ifyaknowwhatimean. we will see the bottom for september within a week. just be cool and play it smart.

Just voted the 16th NO in the poll. I learned my lesson. So, now that there is this price drop happening, I won't sell even a single satoshi until the price rises back once again may it take months or even year to happen. At the moment, I keep on buying from time to time and I'm glad the price drop continues so I can buy even more.

People are dumping because they cannot control their emotions that's why we should only invest what we can afford to lose so that we would not be prone to panicking.
I agree! There's a huge number of crypto-newbies out there... I'm surprise in seeing how easily a lot of people fall into a panic fever! Stay on crypto guys! Once the engine is invented we cannot turn back to the horses!

Most of the people state that they will hold their bitcoin in case a crash occurs, but most of them turn out to be liars and they panic for shit and sell whatever coins they have and they claim that they use the buy and sell theory, agreed that will be profitable  but it's not good for bitcoin's market to be honest.

People dont just dump their bitcoins, it took massive amount of money to make the market decreased almost $1500 dollar in 4 days, i think the bitcoin was just overpriced and the news impact from china just making it worse, perhaps its temporary and i do still believe that bitcoin will gain more strenght this year, but not in a short period. So why would you catch a falling knife? I think its better to re-invest the bitcoin when the price become more stable after the sharp decline, when others are fearful then be greedy  Grin

1. Traders are using these news to reduce the average cost of their coins in hand (sell high buy low), which is very logic and the right thing to do;
2. Non-believers just panic and stop loss;
3. Margin traders were forced to close the trade;

I think that mainly the people in China are afraid that soon they will not be able to sell thier coins anymore.
So they throw everything on the market, and take what they can get.
That increased supply swashes over into the rest of the world with the consequences we see today.

I don't think the reason why people are dumping is far fetched and I agree that quite a number of newbies are involved but that's not all even pros who have stayed longer than even most of us are really trying to cut their losses. For the newbies, I font blame them as panics sets it, I have been there where I had tobsell off simply because I couldn't get access to my on-line wallet at the time but such decisions are what I hated the most.

while the price dropped faster the last option for save our money is immediately sold the bitcoin because to avoid lost money this thing is necessary so i think this is the cause why more likely almost every people currently decide to dumping their bitcoin also with these situations will makes people sligthly doubted to buy bitcoin more because there is a chance this dumping hasn't stopping yet

Because the bitcoin price is dropping really fast. In just 3 days it went from 4.3k to 3k. Wich is unreal. And bitcoin is still falling so the smartest thing to do right now is to sell the bitcoins you made.

according to the vote made here, I think only 1 person has sold the BTC that it owns. 18 other voters still did not sell. it is not a voting that can explain this situation but in the end I can make the following prediction .. bitcointalk users and followers are more knowledgeable in this regard than other bitcoin investments.I wanted to say that I can not understand that all the other people are affected by the sales, but these events are totally dependent on each other like a chain because bitcoin investors are afraid to not convert the bitcoins to fiat they have because of the government's decisions, they have made such a decision and have chosen to sell what they have.but people in other countries could not accept the idea that such a decision would not affect them.
and as a virus spreading all over the world, prices have tilted to this level.

many forex brokers now allow traders to short bitcoin. previous to this btc only fell when you guys sold more than you bought. now professional traders can short btc - and they are, in big numbers.

Because the bitcoin price is dropping really fast. In just 3 days it went from 4.3k to 3k. Wich is unreal. And bitcoin is still falling so the smartest thing to do right now is to sell the bitcoins you made.

The price is artificially adjusted and now there is such a sharp decline due to bad news in China. I do not think that it would be a sensible decision to sell coins at a very low price and still lose money.

I don't know why people got panic so easily. People are currently dumping massive coins in the market because of China's action to regulate Bitcoin. What do you think people should do instead of dumping their coins just like that in the market that lead to damage the value of bitcoin?

People are panicking now because they're afraid of China's actions against crytpcurrencies and bitcoin exchanges.

They are dumping their bitcoin because they think and believe that everything is gone wrong in bitcoin because there is a lot of bad news in the internet right now about the hate of china in bitcoin and they are now banning different exchanges and that is a huge effect in bitcoin and it will make the price lower in the future if the news will continue.

Hell no!
Bitcoin has been through it's ups and downs and it's already been proven itself in the market so this are just another rainy days in cryptos. I won't touch my coins to give money to these whales. These are all fuds so I'll just use this to buy more coins to add to my portfolio. Panic sell is just for the weak hands.

I think the procent of people that are dumping BTC for good is really really small. Most people are dumping because they think the price will go lower so they can rebuy more.

On this ups and dips a lot of money are lost and a lot of money are made and this is a good thing, because all the smart money will remain in the system and the dumb money will be long gone.

those who "will never sell" their btc - i implore you to read some economic history about financial bubbles

..........if you're answer to that was "no, i dont need to/ that's not btc" - then you are in denial. i mean it doesnt hurt your position to read a book does it?

i think the same like you because when i see in market, poloniex and bittrex, it seems there are middle trader is involve in dumping and they are selling their bitcoin to prevent loss. maybe they have another purpose like you said and i am sure that they are know making profit because the price is up and down too fast.

Some panic people are selling their bitcoins and altcoins for loss, of course, this kind of price dump will scare everyone. And some more people are why they are dumping means to buy more bitcoins. They are using strategy to sell and buy bitcoins. They are converting it into USD when the price is stable that time they will buy again this is what happening in the present market.

while the price dropped faster the last option for save our money is immediately sold the bitcoin because to avoid lost money this thing is necessary so i think this is the cause why more likely almost every people currently decide to dumping their bitcoin also with these situations will makes people sligthly doubted to buy bitcoin more because there is a chance this dumping hasn't stopping yet

That is right. A person dumping bitcoin because they panic that they will lose money they invest during the price is low and think that it will be better to sell it than holding it. For me, it is the given time for the opportunity to buy bitcoin because of it's low price so that can have more chance to gain profit when the time that the price become high.

China is not the cause of people selling bitcoin. The words of a CEO who leads the nation's largest bank in the United States is the real cause. He had a loud voice that bitcoin was a hoax, with his status, his words influenced everyone, so they sold the bitcoin in a panic way.

Do you really belive this? I'm assuming that you are talking about JP Morgan CEO, Jamie Dimon. This dinosaur couldn't move the cryptocurency market a few cents with his statement. He called bitcoin a scam, so this proves how little does he understand about the new economy.

On the other hand, when Wall Street says that something's a scam (to be translated as something that they can't controle), than you know that you have to buy.

I didn't dump my bitcoin in this great decrease of bitcoin price and am not planning to touch it any soon from now. What I'm more interested in doing is to buy more so I can get a greater return when the prices rocket up hopefully. I can't blame others to panic though. It would be counted loss if their money depreciate.

Good thing you have decided that way. Last night (at least in my country), was the perfect time to add more coins as most of the coins were on sale and after just few hours, it rose up again. I hope you had accumulated more coins and took advantage with the latest dump and pump. Additionally, for me,  panic can only give losses and not profit.

Maybe they are just in need. For sure some of new earners would be worried of the changing of the bitcoin price. But the for the pro one when its price is low they buy it and sell for the right time when its price become high. They grab the opportunity of buy and sell timing. Cause the price is changing time by time. Just observed the price when the right to trade you coins.

Most of the people panicked with the decline in bitcoin prices caused by china to regulate bitcoin, on the other they sell bitcoin on the grounds they are forced to sell it because of urgent economic needs (no money).
as much as possible we should not get carried away the current panic because the price of bitcoin is declining. in the near future bitcoin prices will increase again, if we can hold the bitcoin we have then the benefits will be felt. moreover if we can take advantage of the price reduction by buying lots of bitcoin then the profits will be more increased.

Only fools are dumping bitcoins and not everyone for sure. The initial news of banning exchanges from the chinese market surely had shocked the market and the price started going down big time. However, it has started recovering and we have already touched $4000 again. Even though the price came down a bit later on, but that's normal market dynamics.

Bitcoin price is currently making its ground stronger so that it can take the next leap. So buy while it's cheap, because the next leap will touch $5000 for sure.

Besides those we have a lot traders over crypto soo several of them sold at 4800-5000 dollars and now had bought cheaper, soo besides those i dont see any valid reason to sell bitcoin at all.

I agree on you on this. Though I have never earned a coin yet, but I agree on your move to not sell your coins out. Bitcoin amd or other cryptocurrencies are just like other currencies or stocks as well. People will tend to panoc if they had not known why this is happening. People may may do drastic actions. If I have bitcoin, I will invest all the more while proces are at its lowest. So that when the wheels have turned, your investment will also rise with the price. Keep calm and invest more.

The market is so decentralised in my own thinking that the behaviour of participants cannot neither be controlled nor predicted which is in this case, as so many people are dumping several people are also holding because I know that if everykne should dump at once, what price is saying will be a price for what it would have fallen to. For those who are still holding like myself, don't loose the faith as we are sure to have the last laugh.

Well china does hold the largest population thus there must be enormous pressure on the bitcoin market when suddenly it became illegal but that was all they could do at that moment its not people's fault but the government.
And due to the decrease in market value people are panicking but in fact China might introduce some norms and the value can go up certainly .
They should just hold on its just sudden abruption because of a countrie's decision.

There are people who panic alot so easily and the tendency for them is to dump the coins that are in their possession. In the coming months i think that the crypto world would become stable that rumors in china's effect is just temporary and definitely the crypto world would recover.

Yes. This is normal because they are afraid that the decline would altogether continue and that they have this trend that this could be the start of the downfall of bitcoin as they are having bad news all over and that they are banned on China currently.

I dont think that is dumping. Selling at a high price when you know tat the price is going to fall and rebuying again at a low price is short selling a very active term of trading. Its nowhere close to dumping.

There individually many reason behind that. It's true that, you can expect only uptrend, there will be ups and down. Fork coming, china permanently banned big exchange, some FUD, market correction  ultimately panic sell, these is all dumping Bitcoin.

People should hold they coins and this is the right thing to do. Bitcoin regulations by Chinese regulatory agency should not make us dump our bitcoin but panicking has created alot of damage than good. We should not go about panicking as many people lose huge amount of money buy buying at the high price and dumping it at the lowest price out of fear. I don't think panic has ever help any one and China government law should not affect us from others countries.

Perhaps it's cause of very high worrying on bitcoin price movements thought it would continue to decline since by the latest news that affects their decision of course. Personally i don't want to dumping my bitcoin i have or be in a hurry to decide to sell it, i keep holding and be patient waiting for bitcoin price to rising again and i'm sure bitcoin price will leads to its return altitude.

That nonsense is just the opposite, you need to hold coins, soon there will be an investment in ETH due to the price decrease, and accordingly another bitcoin correction. Therefore, we still have time to make a profit from this.

but if people still panic, i think they will going to fast sell their bitcoin and they can buy again when its in low price. i think people still afraid when they buy bitcoin and not save for a long term because they thinking that their money will be reduce but if they learn more about bitcoin, its not wise to sell when the price is down. the only thing that we can do is to trying to keep our bitcoin while if we still have money, we can buy bitcoin again.

Not only China but also influential people like JP Morgan, Dimon and other Trusted Media outlets and Agencies and Online News Websites like Forbes and many other are reasons why some people that holds bitcoin which we can assume that they are casual bitcoin enthusiasts that can be easily believe in what these big people will say about bitcoins, resulting into fears and doubts which eventually lead to cashing out.

The exchange ban is not a rumor; it's a fact now. I'm inclined to believe that some exchanges will be allowed to reopen with licenses, and they will be tightly controlled by the government. They may even be government-run.

I hope you're right... I hate hedging my coins. Glad to see that price rebounded nicely tonight. But I'm also hearing lots of nasty rumors about another round of action from the Chinese government -- blocking access to the P2P network and banning mining are supposedly on the table. Lips sealed

I think people should have waited this one out without just dumping, as it may result in BTC taking a much longer time to get back up and recover its real market value. People should have learnt from previous experience that whenever there is a bearish trend in bitcoin, it is followed by a much gradual, stable and longer bullish trends.
So, instead of dumping here, people should have invested more BTC and held to ride up the later bullish trend, and thus make profits.

We can't avoid those kind of dumpers of bitcoin because those people who are dumping their bitcoin are amateur investors and traders that are thinking that the price of bitcoin will continue to go down and after a few weeks, they will regret their decision because the price of bitcoin is pumping. So the lesson here is to try to understand the behavior of bitcoin so you will know what are the things to do in case of bearish market.

People will never learn to keep calm. This is very bad. At such moments the whales increase their capital in bitcoins and then it will be easier to organize the dump. I like the idea of crypto currency, but I can't do anything with what bitcoin is turning into an object for speculation. This can completely discredit the idea of bitcoin and kill it.

Probably from the bitcoin value factor that has been down for several days, so many people throw or sell it.
I personally keep the remaining bitcoin, because i think the bitcoin price in a few days will recover and increase.
I think in these circumstances we all do not panic and continue to hold your coins, lest you regret it later when the price goes up and you do not have any more coins.

What is dumping? Is it like trowing it away or buying more Bitcoin due China's regulation? Or like worrying to much?

The people who dumped their coins are mostly the new to bitcoin or they just don't want to loose their money, seing your coins slowly geting low its too creepy if I'm new to it but its just a normal correction of its price after reaching the highest price. We have to get used to it.
Its for long time investments and not for short term.

I had sold some amount of btc as was expecting the market to fall and it did and bought it back at lower range. I did not panic and sold it but just wanted to made some profits as market was going to fall so purchased again at lower price and now its on upward movement.

I know few of the friends who had sold all whatever they had and did not even bought it and now waiting for another fall so they buy it again.

The people who are dumping their bitcoins are mostly panic sellers in the trading markets, I believe they will regret their decision in future as the price drop in bitcoin is only temporary, once the negative news from china stopped spreading for the next few months, the confidence in bitcoin would be restore, and the price will surely rise again.

China is slowly taking down exchanges and wants to regulate cryptocurrencies more, negative comments from respected investors about BTC are influencing price as well

people are afraid of losing their entire investment and so they sell. If you can't afford losing what you're putting up on the crypto market don't invest in the first place

Yes, the panic sellers are the one who are dumping their bitcoin holding. This has been a big opportunity for the whales who already have a good volume of bitcoin, because they use it as an opportunity to earn big as growth with digital currency is assured.

Those who are in bitcoin for pure trading purposes and profit, and don't really understand the value BTC could bring to society, since they really represent the necessary update that traditional currencies need, will of course sell and react to these panic sells. But for those that live in China, I guess I understand their reaction, since China is well known for it's strict rules. If China decides that BTC will be illegal there, it will be hard for them to keep it I guess, so they sold them. Of course that for those that don't live in China, I don't think they should panic sell just because the price changed. I know I'm not selling mine, because I believe in them.

I've heard that thw goverment of china are seriously declare a war againts cryptocurrency. They already ban ICo and indirectly ban bitcoin after the goverments anounce to close exchange on china. There is also a rumors that china will block everything that having a relation to cryptocurrency, IP, VPN and others. Because of that, I agree that most of the dump is coming from china based on the possibility will become difficult to cash out their cryptocurrency if the goverment plans already happen. So they dump it immediatly.

You give up a good income? The Chinese will never give up on such income. They will transfer their money to other countries and will earn on other exchanges. The miners will move the equipment to other countries. It is not difficult. Such a decision affected only China.

They can dump all they want, it wont make a long term difference. With huge positions, even the swings we see lately will cause margin calls. The smart ones will make money, provide liquidity, and help stabilize the market. The unlucky ones will lose money and reduce market stability.

I didn't dump my Bitcoin, I always holding most of my Bitcoin and just cashing out 1/4 of it everytime. Others are dumping Bitcoin because they are afraid that Bitcoin will not get back up, they are afraid when they saw Bitcoin is falling and never thought that it might go up again. As for me i've been in their shoes before when i was still new in Bitcoin.

Here in your poll you can easily see that the majority didn't dump their Bitcoins during recent depreciation of value. Although the poll is at very small level. But in actual also majority didn't dump their Bitcoin. Only those who doesn't understand Bitcoin and its potential are the one who paniced and sold their Bitcoins. Mostly the pump and dump was driven by bulk holders recently. The minor correction was scheduled to happen after $5000 point. But the correction went major because of China's ICO ban and then Jamie Dimon speech.

Let the newbies dump their bitcoin during FUD. While they dump, you buy their bitcoins. I am in bitcoin for long term. I do not care if it dips once in a while because in the long run it will be pumped and reach new ATH.

I did not sell my bitcoin since I'm sure it's a temporary panic. While newcomers are selling their coins cheaply they can be bought and then it is good to earn when the price grows high enough.

Yeah, that's right. The Chinese government did not banned onwner exchange transfer their money to other countries to partner. Therefore, if they can do that, do you think Korea, Japan or India will be good place for them Tongue?

According to an old Wall Street saying, "Financial markets are driven by two powerful emotions, greed and fear." The same applies to Bitcoin, in a highly volatile free market, if you ignore the fundamentals and rely on short-term profits, FUD happens, fear happens, instant reaction is to sell at whatever price. Panic sellers.

Good thing, greed or a better term, hope. A panic seller's loss is another hopeful person's gain who relies on fundamentals and has a broader long-term view.

The Chinese FUD ain't over yet.

I don't know why people got panic so easily. People are currently dumping massive coins in the market because of China's action to regulate Bitcoin. What do you think people should do instead of dumping their coins just like that in the market that lead to damage the value of bitcoin?

I've done it too, when I was a newbie. I can still remember when I first invested on bitcoin when it's price was just $500. I usually panic if it drops to $50. I quit bitcoin because it dropped a hundred, which I admit was a terrible mistake. If I was able to hold my bitcoin that time or even just forget about my bitcoin, I could've earned thousands of dollars by now.

A lot might happen but we cannot blame someone if he or she dumps his/her bitcoins, maybe they had their own reasons. That is also why the most conflicts related in investments are most probably their emotions on how to handle problems, instead of thinking properly they will just instantly dump their investments not thinking about the next day to come.

It cant really be avoided people would normally panic when they heard of such news like we saw on China. People do tend to secure their profits first this is why they do dump. Some securing money some are cutting loses well this thing is just really a normal thing for me and its not really a surprising thing but eventually we didn't really see a hard dump because after of price decrease now the price have recovering up again.

It's not everyone it's just china , i don't know if you are aware but china has decided to block all exchanges in the region because of this most people residing in china have decided to sell their bitcoins. If there won't be any exchanges what's the use of holding bitcoin it's better to sell it

Most newbies would panic, because they don't know what's happening. It happened a lot in the recent years. So, for newbies info it's not a good idea to panic and dump all your bitcoin just because it dropped. Bitcoin started with just less than a dollar and see how it grew in years it costs thousands of dollars now.

A great opportunities for us from those newbies who sold their coins for us, and also we've been rewarded in the future for our eagerness to invest for their coins sold at cheaper value. Possible dips will occur because dumps from weaker hands happened all the time, and newbies don't have to learn if they won't be experiencing failure of trades, so better chances for us highly experienced traders will come a long way to gain profitable earnings.

As a former newbie in bitcoin, traders on the other side won't succeed without passing the road of failure. As if it was destined to us to feel been betrayed by our own weakness but it is what makes us stronger, it teach us not to see failure as a hindrance but as an opportunity to learned something with it.

then the dump was made by the big whales , i heard about jp morgan games , they are creating panic situation to but it cheeps in the next days. what a shame , actually it was an old style , but nobody can confirm yet about this.

the dump in any market will always happened at some point , you just need to be more clever than anybody!

Influence and outcome is different. Did the bot invest or did the bot set the stop-loss? Finance is the same, 20th or 21st century, you see a loss, you cut loose at a loss or even. You see a growth overtime, you stick, basics. Nothing to do with bots, strings are still humanly, fear, greed/hope.

maybe the person tersaebut is needing money then people sell its bitcoin, but it does not last long, just a matter of days bitcoin prices back peaked, it has been proven this statement is true a few days ago, if you know total supply bitcoin is very limited and still little people who know about bitcoin, if everyone knows about bitcoin then the more expensive price.

its almost same scenario when weekends are approaching seems that someone needs money to party out and they cashing out their earnings from the panic sellers which been victimized by this manipulators, not all are selling their are still wise traders and investors that holds until they met their target value. so be very careful with your action.

Poor news in China making people worry, JP Morgan slamming BTC also.

JThe reason why China and other bankers wants to stop or regulate bitcoins is because it has no legal basis.  And I think, they are partly right as there are no existing laws that governs Bitcoin earnings and the way it was spent... So I guess, their reasons are valid in a way.

They must be new in the world of bitcoins and afraid to invest. On the other side people who contain a lot knowledge aren't dumping it because they know its useless and gain nothing with it. Most of peoples are still  buying and selling the bitcoin with today's price as for them they have to keep on transact on whatever is the price to keep running their business. Price is still very high and attractive to dump and get profits.

Congrats on your timely selling, and also on the recognition that Bitcoin displays bubble-like properties, if it's not an outright bubble. Most of the people on this board post things like price drops mean it will go even higher! That's the type of blind optimism that loses people life savings while they were chasing pipe dreams. I'm not wishing ill on anyone, but I wouldn't feel bad about those people getting burned. But I want to point out something interesting: even as recognize the risk of this bubble being punctured, you then said "we'll see in a week or two if bitcoin rebounds." That in itself is a perfect encapsulation of how pervasive this bubble is in that even someone who thinks they're being skeptical thinks that a bubble popping would be resolved in a week or two!

There are groups that make a huge dump by selling very large quantities, after they have earned their profits, they are switching to another coin.

I don't know why people got panic so easily. People are currently dumping massive coins in the market because of China's action to regulate Bitcoin. What do you think people should do instead of dumping their coins just like that in the market that lead to damage the value of bitcoin?

A friend just dumped his bitcoin even he is not new on those bad news and FUD's. It might be that China's declaration on banning ICO's or exchanges are more devastating for him than the August 1 fork because he is positive about that time. Or sometimes too much pressure he forget about the normal thing to do and that is to "calmed down". He is looking and monitoring charts on bitcoinwisdom.com the whole day, even I told him not to. He was disappointed afterwards but I told him there always time to get back.

I don't think everyone was dumping Bitcoin. In the near future bitcoin prices will increase again. We should not panic. We will win again in the long walks.

Well some seasoned coin traders usually use this strategy to lock in profits and buy again once they see an opportunity. They know that this type of news are catalyst for a very big movement of price in the market. Usually they will sell their Bitcoin then right away short it toget another profit then buy again.  Also according to the news we can expect another price drop on  November because of the Bitcoin split but i do not know if this is a legit news.

Simple, a lot of bitcoin holders are traders and after China's announcement to close exchanges they have expected that the price will fall.

What do traders do if they expect that prices will fall? Exactly, they will sell!

I think the others dumping bitcoin because they had already earned profit with their investments and they are taking advantage of it. The others are in the mode of panic thats why they dump bitcoin. We really cant blame anyone for dumping their bitcoin possession they have their own reasons. But for me i would still hold and wait for bitcoin to have higher value.

The smart ones are of course looking for days like this and I so much love those 3 quick points you dropped. The truth is we can never stop people from dumping anyways. We are still in the initial stage and bitcoin is gradually getting noticed by the day and it takes some experience or information about bitcoin not to actually dump in the first place.

Even on this thread, so many newbies were scared and asked questions what could be going on but at some point they had some balls to hold. Not every newbie had that opportunity and not everyone will.

i see there is many new people which join into bitcoin world become afraid because btc price is volatile and they are fast selling if they see the price is down although is only for small reduce. if they do this over and over, then they can dump bitcoin price but if they can hold it for a while, then they can see that their patience is work and they can make profit because of the price is increase.

I think Japan will be great option among three you mentioned and it is a big relief for them if China did not ban the transfer of money in the form of bitcoins to other countries. I think China should soon remove this ban because this is not going to give them any benefit in the near future.

I think not, the habit of speculators is a profit when the price goes up or down, I'm sure that speculators can control the price of bitcoin so they easily control prices bitcoin.

It looks like Japan wants to be the frontrunner in embracing cryptocurrencies:

If you are not in that country why should you do that? dumping all your bitcoins.. the effect of banning the bitcoin in china is huge like in value of bitcoin it raise up to quickly.. i think those people are scared after that announcement.. now china is planning to have a legal step or procedure to totally eliminate bitcoin on their country.. because bitcoin don't have a legal bases so some legal action from the government of china the bitcoin will be automatically announce as illegal..

I think they are not dumping bitcoin price but they attract to sell their bitcoin because the price is down too deep and they are afraid that their loss is too big. we can see this happens when the bitcoin price down too far and makes many people become panic and they decide to do fast sell and they buy again at the lower price. but they don't think that sometimes this is not good because the price could bounce up again and they are missed to make a good profit.

People are not dumping Bitcoin, this is just a normal thing that happens and is something that is supposed to happen in every market for it to grow. People buy and they also sell, which creates an opportunity for others to also buy.

You don’t expect everyone to buy and hold it forever, you should reason that. Not even you can buy Bitcoin without selling it future. You had plan for investing, and when you accomplish that plan, you sell and wait for another opportunity.

Not everyone dumping away their Bitcoin, for experienced investors they will not do that.
Today the bitcoin conditions in the market are in decline, so new people who involved in cryptocurrency or newbie investors feel panic because of the value decline and dump away their bitcoin.
You need to be patient, don't do panic sell.

Actually its our natural ways to be in  FUD or panic situation because, being a small time investor and have only a small amount of capital,we must always secure that our investment is pump in the market, thats we always monitor the market price in the coin market or coin base,so that if we find out that the price is dump again consecutive  we must withdraw back again our asset and buy later  when the price is going to normal, even sometimes in withdrawing we lose a market caps than to loosing  all of your capital.

When many people see that bitcoin is rising they tend to sell a lot of there stakes in altcoins to get in on the rise of bitcoin. They make a short profit on the bitcoin rise and then buy back there altcoins at a discounted rate as there prices diminished because of the btc price pump. Simple way to increase your stakes in altcoins whilst gaining a little profit in bitcoin.

Well you're not sure that everybody os dumping. Its likely initiated by whales to make the weaklings panic and sell everything. Its a continous process where the weak gets taken advantage of and the steady ones take profit.

I don't know why people got panic so easily. People are currently dumping massive coins in the market because of China's action to regulate Bitcoin. What do you think people should do instead of dumping their coins just like that in the market that lead to damage the value of bitcoin?
better to do when someones panicking?stop reading news so theres no other issues will comes to you mind.thats what im doing when the price is dropping becaue if i listen to news i will panic too and maybe encourage to sell mine too.

Mostly newbies only are dumping their coins, I prefer to hold as much as possible, those who got too panic are mostly get lose since we only lose in trading if we sell it on dump. Keep waiting anyway it just a start of the year.

If I hold some BTC in September 2017, I have made a lot of profit now!

Some fake news can easily cause panic and make mistakes in decision making!

Is there someone who intentionally conducts such behavior and buys BTC at a low price?

This is really awful that people are accepting rumors and fabricated news about the bad performance of bitcoin  and its permanent decrease in value by its opponents. Such mistakes of trusting foes are easily committed by newcomers in the bitcoin community. They should trust their mighty coin.

I think people must just keep on holding and saving their Bitcoin rather than doing panic selling because instead of rising the price, you are just contributing on the major factor that affects the Bitcoin price that is why all of us suffer on this. People must effectively be knowledgeable on using their Bitcoins so that dumping will just take a short time to occur and more pump will happen attracting many people to engage and do investments with Bitcoin to contribute on its popularity especially rising up the Bitcoin price in the market.

I guess some people mostly the newbies just need money now because of high cost of living. I still believe more are hodling and trust their BTCs. Those who are long term btc investors have known the intricacies behind bitcoin's movement even with its unpredictability and volatility. They don't panic and cool as ice even in times of dips.

I suspect price of bitcoin lately getting hard to continuously increase is due to people who bought during its peak days because they try to reduce the loss they are getting because of the big correction happened recently and i believe a great contribution for this is from those people making short term trading as well. Once all the bears done with this i think bitcoin will soon to emerge again Smiley

prices are now on the right track because bitcoin is not getting sudden high values it is increasing in slow manner and i am sure, those who were waiting since the start of year for their profit they will soon get their outcome at their door step.

Panic sellers are often happened when the bitcoin and other crypto coins dropped its value. And i fully understand their feelings because i feel the same way but i did not do the panic selling, what i did is just staying cool and still hold my bitcoins. And the only thing you should do is like what i did, HOLDING.

Bitcoin price will be influences by so many factor like some bad propaganda because investors are very keen observant that will easily dump if they heard something negative about bitcoin. But still I believe that it will climb back immediately because it will also result to a massive buying . Because there are lot of investors who will buy immediately once price goes down.

Market is not stable, so the ultimate results will never be satisfactory to all those traders or investors who are weak in their decision making. They never thought over a controlled mind. Their decision are dependent on others, do as the romans do. Such on decision accompanying others and then such chain continues till the market is trending downwards.

The volatility of price in bitcoin makes this digital currency exciting. Although it's a results of the influence from a certain group whose intentions is to get the price that they wants. Those quick hands will do panic to sell their coins if the big mouth will initiating the moves. It's a trap to those people who are less in knowledge in this technology. I'm hoping that those mind set will be change as we need to move forward. Hold people.

Actually, it’s not everybody, just a few people that thinks that it is over for Bitcoin, so they decide to dump all they have and quit. Even as they are quitting, there are new people getting into Bitcoin and purchasing a lot of it. But you shouldn’t expect everyone to keep on holding forever, there are times you have to sell.

Its not the effect of people dumping their Bitcoin but its the matter of some investment whales making big waves in the market. They are manipulating the Bitcoin market very easily as most of the here are panic sellers which give them a very large opportunity to earn.

Thank you so much for the advice. I have a friend who dumps his bitcoin and after few weeks the value goes up to the peak. He regret it so much. Maybe he was in a hurry that time because he was so excited for the money he could have. I learned a lesson from him, and like you and others I will wait for the price to go up before trading them.

China is still actively blocking and banning websites for cryptocurrencies. The article on the net that I have read explains that China was doing this to prevent financial risks for China. China having one of the largest users of cryptocurrencies created an impact on bitcoin prices as many are dumping their coins. This actions by china could clearly created fear among its users. So this could be the reason why so many are dumping bitcoin as well because they are no longer gaining and instead the are even losing due to panic selling.

Dumping are dependable on the situation but for those past days dumpings are happen due to those google, mt.Gox and other more. But for now since the price go stable and the panic goes down maybe those people who sell their coins are in need with quick bucks but I'm sure that they not huge whales since they doesn't affect so much to the price of the bitcoins.

Prices are finally going up a bit and believe it or not there are people who have placed an $8k mark as a point where they will sell their bitcoins and they do not want to watch the prices go down again so they are dumping and leaving the market. Which means prices will probably go further down this week before it starts to recover again.

I think this is all because of the FUDs spreading like crazy in the past months and plus the chart the price movement of bitcoin is really bearish so people will really not help them selves and will really save their money first but eventually this will all pass and bitcoin's price will return back and will push its price to a new all time high.

The price of bitcoins and every other cryptocurrency in the market are all based on supply and demand so its normal for the price of your coins to decrease sometimes and the volatility of the market is the reason why cryptocurrency is very profitable.

People were attract to dump their Bitcoins and other Altcoins everytime that there is a huge movement of selling in the market in which i believed that mostly were facilitated by the big whales as they have mastered the sell high and buy low strategy. Like what happen in the latest ultimate dip in which we thought it was a corrections but later on it was revealed that it was done by Mt.Gox trustee. Now i'm waiting for these big whales to step up and pump the market so that we could ride on to their games too.

You can see that the market is in a deep crisis, bitcoin prices in the past three months have been continuously depreciated, and now lose nearly 70% of the value. I believe that you should sell bitcoin at the moment, bitcoin prices are showing signs of a sharp fall and investment funds are beginning to run away from the market.

It's either they want to take the profit or they are afraid of losing more of their investment. Most people here are speculators and only care  about the USD value of Bitcoin and not its real value as a currency to be used globally with the safety of the blockchain and cryptography.

People must learn to behave in the market. Most of those people who drop their coins are newcomers who came for quick money, believing in a fairy tale about wealth. But this does not happen, the Crypto currency market has its own laws, which must be pehfnm and adapt to them.

Panic selling is the most common reason behind the downfall in the market value of any of the crypto coin and that the ones who are newbies are the major contributors in this. Most of the investors who have invested their money into it find it very much difficult to keep their nerves under their control and hence make such foolish decision which not only results in loss of money but also results in the depreciation in the market value of the coin.

I think they are not dumping bitcoin but they are panic because of bitcoin price is down too deep and they cannot hold any longer and I think they are making a mistake for this. maybe they don't learn that bitcoin is always like this and will increase again soon after the down of the price and they will regret to selling their bitcoin. but if they have a good reason to sell their bitcoin, I think they have another plan to sell their bitcoin and they are expecting to buy bitcoin at lower price.

Certainly there are users who believe negative news and sell their coins, but the crypto currency market depends on many factors, and there are big players who, with the help of large capital, can speculatively reduce prices and influence some coins on the market.

This is absolutely true, A lot of people who own bitcoin, If they saw that bitcoin's price fall to much, they start to be panic and go quick to sell their bitcoin for a low value in fiat, Which it's a very bad decision by them, I don't blame anyone to sell his bitcoin with a low price, maybe they are newbie and new in this community. They should learn from their mistakes and do not repeat the same mistake again.

The best they can do is be patient and hold what they have panicking is not good it give you more stress if your always panicking. Even China regulates I think is not a big damage to bitcoin so we don't need to be panic.

It's either they want to take the profit or they are afraid of losing more of their investment. Most people here are speculators and only care  about the USD value of Bitcoin and not its real value as a currency to be used globally with the safety of the blockchain and cryptography.
Well if today they are selling for the sake of profit then they should know that it is not good time to sell, if they will sell right now then they will only lose or if get then will get smaller than what they can earn holding for long time, I think wise and experience people will never sell their bitcoin but only those are selling who are not sure about bitcoin and they are in doubt either they will earn or not so don’t put any doubt, trust bitcoin and you will earn very high.

Certainly there are users who believe negative news and sell their coins, but the crypto currency market depends on many factors, and there are big players who, with the help of large capital, can speculatively reduce prices and influence some coins on the market.
Here is the reality of trading crypto, we have to react to a situation, people not follow the panic selling but they follow the current market flow, if the trend is fall dip then sell your assets, hold and wait when the bounce back signal come then back to the market buy asset coins as much as possible is a natural instinct of a trader to make a profit, is nothing wrong with that.

I don't know why people got panic so easily. People are currently dumping massive coins in the market because of China's action to regulate Bitcoin. What do you think people should do instead of dumping their coins just like that in the market that lead to damage the value of bitcoin?

Following the trend is a very basic advice when it comes to trading but it is really difficult to determine when the trend is going to change, that is why those that make that recommendation leave out that part which in my opinion is the most important, how do you know when to invest in bitcoin again once the price is going down? How to know when to sell when the price is going up?

You know why they dumped bitcoin that is because after dumping it they will took the opportunity to buy bitcoin so that they can earn big profit. After buying they will again hold it and wait until it go up again. That is the strategy of big holders.

just many are afraid that it will not go up and they will not wait for such a price as before and in a hurry they sell thinking that they are doing the right thing and do not notice that they are contributing to the panic

Some people at a certain moment began to panic because of the price drop and thus began to sell quite large volumes of it, thereby triggering a chain reaction of other sellers seeking to do so while the price did not fall even lower.

Because people are scared when the market drops sharply. BTC price increases and decreases like a cycle. People see prices falling and losing money, but whales consider it a great buy opportunity.

People must learn to behave in the market. Most of those people who drop their coins are newcomers who came for quick money, believing in a fairy tale about wealth. But this does not happen, the Crypto currency market has its own laws, which must be pehfnm and adapt to them.
The last pump has really attracted investors of all kind. Many people just buy bitcoin because they were amazed by its value gaining strength. They didn’t bother to learn even the fundamentals of digital currencies and when the dip arrived, absolutely it was not easy to stick with bitcoin. Many lost trust in it due to lack of knowledge and sold out their asset to save themselves from any further loss.

Many people get afraid on the past dumps that's why many of the people get panic for such lose occur if they wouldn't sell their bitcoins at that time but, they surely feel sorry to sell at this rate since bitcoins is gaining some possible momentum and maybe preparing for a good bull run. But we still need to be vigilant on this so that we can secure the possible loss nor profits.

because people never learn that bitcoin will still survive in the hardest situations and will rise again someday. they attract to the bad news that makes bitcoin price is down too deep and they only makes bitcoin in the bad situations. but for sure, bitcoin will always survive and more people will support bitcoin because they believe that bitcoin will give a good result in the future. I hope that in the future, people that dumping bitcoin price will realize about this and they will regret their decision to do that.

I agree, bitcoin will survive no matter what the government will do to kill bitcoin. People that easily give up their bitcoins during dip don't deserve to be in the crypto world. We should be used to this situation because volatility is the main characteristic of bitcoin and you should have a nerve of steel to withstand that.

Its just normal to those people gets panic easly, because i think they are too afraid to loss thier money, we should not blame they because they are free to make a decision, My advice too them is be patience market is not down forever, better to think twice before deciding.

Maybe because bitcoin cannot raise the price back just like last year. They all get discourage about its status now. I dont know why they easily give or panic about. It is part of a business.

The answer is actually quite simple. Big investors, whom we call whales, are starting to dispose of their existing volume at high prices. Later, the amateur and ignorant investors who see the price drop are immediately succumbed to loss feeling and start to panic sales. In this way the price has once again fallen and the whale is making more Bitcoin purchases with the USD reserve. In this way, first profit is based on BTC, then price is moving upward again, and extra profit margin on USD basis is obtained.

Exactly like that. Today's picture of Bitcoin that markets are manipulated by whales and those shit institutions. This is pretty enough couldn't go the next level and due to the reason Bitcoin turn the downtrend line. Noobs are affected as always, however this is good for ctypto industry.

yeah without volatility, I am not sure that we could make any profit at all and I think there are not too many people that could stay in the cryptocurrency. but if the volatility still exists, we can have a hope so we can make a profit and we can do this over and over again. people selling their bitcoin is only because they cannot hold their bitcoin for a longer time and they don't see that the bitcoin can increase in the future so they decide to sell their bitcoin to get their money's back but unfortunately, their money will decrease too.

of course we can still make a profit even if without the volatility because there are lots of jobs online that pays in bitcoin and they dont actually need a capital in order to start however you only need to offer your time and patience as a form of capital in order to do the task.

no ,thats not true. People only sell bitcoin because they need the money. that is the main reason why people do sell their bitcoins and not because they are impatient or cant hold any longer. Selling your bitcoins does not really mean you will loose because almost all the people who sell their coins are always earn a profit .

Fall in the price is the major reason because of which people are dumping bitcoin. But i must say that they are taking this decision without even thinking.Everyone knows that bitcoin is virtual in nature.Ups and downs in prices are very common.People start to panic when they feel that the prices are falling, they just think  instead of waiting and holding bitcoin for more so long is of no use time so they sell their coins at very less rate which in return results in dumping of bitcoin. This is not a solution.Just think twice before making such a wrong decision.Have some patience, bitcoin is never going to end .Prices may fall or rise as its the nature of bitcoin.Have faith in bitcoin.

I don't believe, everybody dumping their coin because of panic situation,  Traders are knowledgeable enough because this is reoccuring scenery. Perhaps because of some emergency cases which let them push to dump their coins. In my part, If im going to dump the coin, I lost the opportunity since the value have the capacity to pumps up and earn good profit.. I prefer to wait until it reaches my target:)

Although Bitcoin is the 1st coin, but it doesn't have potential to increase as much as other coin. If Bitcoin go down, they will lose many money. So the problem is Bitcoin's risk. No one can predict the Bitcoin price in the future (it's not product of company or individual, it can be only affected by Government). Buying Bitcoin more like gambling than investing. It's easy to understand why people want to sell it. Their reason is really reasonable. We can't blame them for it.

I think this is not a good time to sell them. By the end of May this market will be thriving. It's time for you to sell what you have. But if you are profitable then you can sell it. This is a safe but less profitable way.

I don't know why people got panic so easily. People are currently dumping massive coins in the market because of China's action to regulate Bitcoin. What do you think people should do instead of dumping their coins just like that in the market that lead to damage the value of bitcoin?

The price is depending on the supply and demand on the market but since there are different news and articles then people are worrying about the future and some of them tend to sell their coins at the lowest price or hold their coins depending on their thoughts about the growth of cryptocurrency.

The psychological challenge is not easy to overcome, although we know this scenario is a very common thing when big traders want to accumulate and buy bitcoin at a low price but the fear still exists and makes us very nervous, the psychology that is not strong enough will be easy to panic and sell. Many people dump bitcoin is a very normal thing, they just want to get rid of the psychology they are facing, from those people, the market generates butterfly effect, prices are constantly falling and falling, this is a trap too simple but hard to pass.

People are getting rid of bitcoin because they do not do the analysis properly for bitcoin in the future. They just panicked with a moment's state without thinking about the impact, they lose a lot of money, they're sorry about what they do. At a time when market conditions like that the most secure step is to keep hold of bitcoin and wait for the price to rise.

I agree with you man, even with the fact that most of the investors in this industry knows that even when prices crash, it will go back up with just a single move from the biggest whales out there that holds a huge amount of bitcoins some of us still panic sells. And the reasons for every person varies. Some do it just because they can't take the big losses and the negative what ifs in their minds, while some have emergencies that would need to have huge amounts of money while others do it just because they get carried away with the fud and loses trust on their own decisions. It is just sad that this happens a lot mostly on small investors that are commonly investing funds that they cannot afford to lose because of the hype and emotions taking over.

Those who are dumping at the moment are just losing a big chance of becoming a millionaire after some time. Bitcoin is expected to touch 30k dollars in the least by the end of this year and it would be near 1 million dollars after 2 or 3 years. Selling out is an action done by people who have shallow understanding of bitcoin and get afraid from downfalls because they have no idea about its future.

Not everybody are dumping bitcoin, I think some people or to those who didn't  know about bitcoin, maybe they dont like the campaign  or what bitcoin is. They think it is a scam or so many negative feedbacks they know. But to those who realy believe what bitcoin is are very lucky and maybe will be a millionaire  someday.

I think not everyone does it, only people who may panic and fear that definitely throw bitcoin. If they have a little patience and dare to take a more certain risk they will not get rid of bitcoin.

i think why so many people dump their coins cause the market just going up so fast and people are afraid too lose their money and they afraid that, there will be another big crash that happening in quarter 1 of this year and there is a fud that said mt gox willdump his coin and will make market crash. But i heard that mt gox are prohibited to sell his coin so this is really make people scare.

People who ditch bitcoin because of unwarranted concerns. They are less confident of bitcoin and respond to news that corners bitcoin. If I personally will not waste my bitcoin anytime, because I'm sure bitcoin will continue to exist and the price will soar if we try to always be patient.

Because they don't know the market falling is very normal. And they needn't be panic. Overcoming yourself is the true success. Bitcoin has existed for 7 years. So it can't easily die. People who are dumping their coins are mostly beginner. They don't know how strong the bitcoin is. Thanks to people like this, the whale can easily manipulate the market Undecided Undecided Undecided

Mostly those people feel panic and under-pressure who invest on bitcoin and altcoin more than budget or big capital. Then it is normal they feel panic. But main reason is that if anyone buy bitcoin in above $15000 and now you could see bitcoin is under $10000, then it is such a panic situation for him. But being a good trader we should face this dumping with patience.

Of course, if Bitcoin rises to $ 15,000, then it will be a very positive growth. But it's a bit disappointing for me, as I've already seen the maximum price for Bitcoin around $ 20,000. I want to see the best growth before the end of 2018.

The price today is increasing again and it was a very good sign because it only means that bitcoins this year might really reach the price of $50k dollar before 2018 ends since most of the speculations is saying the same thing.

I think that BTC dumping only for expel from positions people, which rises in short.
This is the new market. This is the wild West, where there is no regulation. If YOU really trust in bitcoin, just buy it and not afraid to lose, and especially don't sell it when its price goes down. This advice could save 50% of my investments in due time)

I think China does so, but Bitcoin will not cut prices until no one invests anymore, so many countries are pushing their economies and virtual currencies into the form of many nations. Selected to implement economic problems in the country.

it's just china , i don't know if you are aware but china has decided to block all exchanges in the region because of this most people residing in china have decided to sell their bitcoins. If there won't be any exchanges what's the use of holding bitcoin it's better to sell it

A good trader always takes the benefit of every moment. If they are dumping then let's them do. If rates are coming down due to panic. Then take it as a opportunity for purchase. Hold it and wait for right price and sell on higher rate.
You can do nothing to control the panic. So take it as opportunity.

Actually they are intentional to dump the bitcoin's value but what is happening that bitcoin drops it's value because of people reaches they're quota and selling their bitcoins and some of the new investors are selling out too without knowing that it will be back soon.

I do not think that all people will sell Bitcoin, many investors keep Bitcoin for a long time while the market is always fluctuating on the trading floor, I believe that now many people are afraid of their money. Will lose profits when the market is falling.

usually when there is bad news about bitcoin, people who just start into bitcoin will feel panic at the time the news is circulating, at that moment they can not make the right decision because of lack of experience and little information they know, they sell bitcoin at a fairly cheap price because they are afraid of losing and losing bigger, but that's how the market goes, the fact that prices always recover, you just need to be patient when the decline is happening or can take advantage of it by buying it

And i think in this year was the bitcoin will be started to rise the price again.
And many investor to invest bitcoin, And that's true we should sell our bitcoin at the moment of bitcoin will be in high price.

I did not sell my bitcoin since I'm sure it's a temporary panic. While newcomers are selling their coins cheaply they can be bought and then it is good to earn when the price grows high enough.

Bitcoins are not all people because now the virtual currency is falling in the market so many people fear they will lose capital should decide to sell Bitcoin out, but there are still many Bitcoin holders to continue to wait for its high prices in the future.

For me some dumper did this because they want to buy I mean they want to invest bitcoin that is why they intent to dump it so that some investors will be panic and sell their bitcoin while some are buying during the time of red market. This is where dumpers will gain more.

From the traders start to panic when the exchange rate decreases will be better if they try to be patient in the next few months because the panic will only make losses to many parties so that this condition worsen the situation and coin is hard to soar.

I don't know why people got panic so easily. People are currently dumping massive coins in the market because of China's action to regulate Bitcoin. What do you think people should do instead of dumping their coins just like that in the market that lead to damage the value of bitcoin?

The price today is increasing again and it was a very good sign because it only means that bitcoins this year might really reach the price of $50k dollar before 2018 ends since most of the speculations is saying the same thing.

Although the market is showing the signs of recovery and Bitcoin is not falling, I do not think that this cryptocurrency price will gain so much to reach 50 K this year.

The people who are dumping bitcoins are maybe the newbie here in the cryptocurrency thingy. Someone like them who are not knowledgeable enough about bitcoin gets easily panic whenever they heard that the value of it is low or super cheap. They are dumping and selling it because they are afraid that someday it will cost them a lot and will not gain some profit and moneys.

Most of the people who sell off their bitcoin and crypto holdings during crisis are those people who are just new and inexperienced in cryptos. They don't really know that when they sell off their crypto holdings, they are also contributing to bitcoin's market price fall down.

Yup, this is true. Most of the weak hands have already disposed their crypto possessions and now regretting their decisioins because they realize that bitcoins are not dead yet and they could've still had the chance to get back what they lost if they chose to hold than to sell. But as what we can see, some are already getting back and learned their lesson.

Some people sell bitcoins in panic, these are usually new investors. The start investing in bitcoins hoping that the prices will always rise which is never going to happen.

But as what we can see, some are already getting back and learned their lesson.

Well, buying Bitcoin isn't investing, it's speculating/gambling because the only way you can make money off it is to find someone to pay more for it than you did for it. Investing is traditionally buying something that has the potential to create income and Bitcoin doesn't and never will, the same way gold will never create income. So losing people who thought they were "investing" and then took on far too much risk and realized it was either too risky or too volatile or wasn't investing, that's not a good or bad thing on the whole. But if you have fewer people going forward to sell to because they see Bitcoin for what it is, that's not a good thing for holders because it reduces the pool of potential buyers. The only way buyers today are going to see any type of return is if there is another wave of fools piling in hoping to get rich.

Well despite the fact that this post is old and irrelevant let me contribute a little, most of the people dumping bitcoin due to panic are those who see bitcoin as a get rich quick scheme and also newbies who don't know or understand the fundamentals of bitcoin, what bitcoin stand for and it uses. So at that they always rush into panic selling there by creating fear in the system.

The market is too much affected by FUD now, because the media are often used by big whale. When FUD begins to spread, this negative effect will be magnified. As most people buy bitcoins for speculation, people will worry about a bigger fall and dump bitcoins when the negative sentiment of the market is accelerating.

maybe they cannot wait any longer so they decide to sell their bitcoin and from what they did, they just make bitcoin price is down and even it will down too deep. but if they can hold for a long time, then at least, they will help bitcoin to get survive and more people will do the same and I think only the weak hands that will do this. or maybe they need the money because they have some urgent things so they must sell their bitcoin to get the money. we don't know what each person reason to sell their bitcoin but one thing that we know that if many people are selling the bitcoin then the price will get down slowly.

This is something we all need to learn especially those newbies, whenever the market is red, please make sure you stay strong and keep calm, when you panic, you become impatient, you do things that you think is the best thing to do but it will make the situation worse if you think about it, selling your coins during the time the market is red will further make the price go down, since you are dumnping back a lot of coins to be part of the supply again, this is no good to anyone. What you can do during times likes this is buy as much as you can and stay strong and patient. Itr is not going to be easy but it is doable and the best thing to do if you want to keep your investments.

Yes, and the main effect of that is the panic selling that makes bitcoin dump. FUD will make small investors afraid of losing everything therefore they will sell their coin even if already at lost in profit just to avoid of total losing of value.

Because they didn't believe that bitcoin has a future. They always acting crazy when the value of their coin is dropping they think that they can lose their coin if they continue trust bitcoin. They didn't know that bitcoin can change their future.

This is because they do not have faith in bitcoin and thought that bitcoin did not had a future because the price was continuously and not recovering. But this is not the case. Its price has started increasing slowly because there are still many users of bitcoin along with the investors who have faith in it.People should have paitence when they are into bitcoin. When the prices fell, people started releasing their bitcoins due to which the price fell more.

A lot of people are looking those dumping bitcoins as a great way to get in the market and start their own position in the market because the reason why everybody is dumping bitcoin is they don't want to lose more and they can't handle the heat of the volatility of bitcoin and that made them sell their bitcoin for cheaper price which is an opportunity for other people.

Everybody is dumping bitcoin because they thought that the price value of bitcoin that is very low will not rise back to its high price and the high price value of bitcoin is unpredictable when to be back or to happen again. So the bitcoin holder dump there bitcoin.
Not all are dumping some of coins are pumping for now but not necessarily in a high price of pump.
Maybe in this year all coins and bitcoin will be started to increase the price or in this month of december just like in the other year bitcoin was a have a huge increase of price.

People do not want to devalue Bitcoin. But the supply and demand rule has affected the value of Bitcoin. Currently, many people are worried about the future of Bitcoin. Bitcoin's stagnant growth has left investors no longer patient enough to continue. They sell Bitcoin to move on to another activity. When the volume of Bitcoin sold is too large in the Cryptocurrency market, Bitcoin prices will fall.

People who sell their bitcoin out of panic from a wrong speculation clearly dumps their bitcoin as they do not have enough knowledge to arrive at better decisions in handling and managing on their own. Knowledge and understanding the field should be a first for everyone if they are wanting profit. They should have patience as well as the greater time pass by, the greater the value of bitcoin will be, possibly as everyone expects it to be.

We can see that after the bitcoin price hit $ 19800, it immediately fell sharply and had a down time of more than 70% of its value. So I think that when the price drops bitcoin so will appear psychological fear from the investors and they started to flee the market by selling bitcoin. Bitcoin prices have also led to a drop in altcoin and the market has fallen into recession. You can see that in recent days bitcoin prices are showing signs of recovery. According to my analysis, this is just up trend in the term, in terms of long-term bitcoin prices are still in the bearish cycle.

panic situations are the only reason for the people to sell their bitcoin and it makes the price is down too deep. many people are not ready to see the price is down so they sell bitcoin by instant mode but I think there still many people that don't attract to the same things and they can hold their bitcoin until the price is back to increase again.

Bitcoin has a lot of fluctuations in 2018 that investors can not expect. There are a lot of positive predictions that have been made, but not many predictions are true, even if they are predictions by big players. The increased risk profile of investing in Bitcoin has made investors feel anxious and frustrated. They found that the return on investment in Bitcoin was not what they expected. And they decided to sell Bitcoin.

When China began to regulate the encrypted currency trading platform last September, it meant that all Chinese users would not be able to trade the encrypted currency, so everyone was dumping it.

But it turned out that the decision was wrong, and bitcoin prices recovered in a month and began to rise sharply.

Panic selling or dumping is the factor that makes the price plummet better to wait for the price to go up.
Bitcoin investors at this time are not strategic investors, they are surfers on the Cryptocurrency market.
They will simply buy Bitcoin at a low price, waiting for the high Bitcoin prices will sell the difference. If the time they keep Bitcoin is too long, they will take advantage of selling Bitcoin to recover the capital. That's how Bitcoin traders usually do.

This is not panic slling and this is termed as shorting.

that's right, smart people look for opportunities and take advantage of the profit opportunities made by the panicked beginners. and for them it's time to double the bitcoin that will be followed by the added value of sales over time.

I don't think everybody is dumping their bitcoin.Maybe some but only those who are panicking about the price that goes down. But me and my family are holding it because we know that dumping and pumping is bitcoin's characteristic.

Because they feel that if they got a lot of bitcoin maybe this is the chance to have a high profit when it comes the bitcoin price pump, Increasing in price scared people and the risk is high because price may decrease at any time in point.

they dump arguably panic or follow-up with other users associated with falling global market prices, this is a common issue but it is actually benefited by traders or investors because now is the right time to buy. if you look at the current market price, the price is far from standard stable prices, this means that something is happening out there that shakes the market price.

Because of Chinese government regulation, the price of bitcoin has fallen very fast. So people are dumping bitcoin.

But more than a month later people realized how foolish it was to sell at low prices.

There's no good reason to sell Bitcoin, I think the big volume of bitcoin sell-off is coming from China and the rest are coming from amateur traders. So like it or not they were forced to sell the coin because it will be very troublesome to exchange crypto currencies with Fiat in the future, The only advice which can be given is don't panic, keep patience and hold until prices improve.

They threw Bitcoin out of panic as Bitcoin's price declined at the time. Their panic that eventually sells Bitcoin in order not to lose even more. Especially now there are many countries that prohibit the use of Bitcoin and cause the price of Bitcoin decreases. Surely investors will be more frantic again with the growth of Bitcoin. Yes even now the price of Bitcoin has started to improve and hopefully so will be like this.

besides that there are also traders who deliberately sell large amounts of bitcoin in order to get the price down and they can buy it again in large quantities as well. it aims to find a lot of profit

that's good strategy from that traders.hodling and holding will not make our balance, we must do something that maybe for other people it make them panic.dumping in order to rebuy in dip is best thing to do.
