In Southeast Asia, many people sell via Facebook or Instagram for example. They are very good platforms to display pictures of the products you sell, descriptions, and basically allows you to not have to invest money and time into developing an ecommerce platform. The only issue right now for these sellers is payment.
They often have to either meet face to face to collect the money in cash, or ask for a bank transfer, wait until the transfer appears, then send the goods. It is a tedious process.
On the other side, people buying from social sellers can’t use their credit card, and if they can’t afford that good they want so much, will give up.
