I don't think selfpay is going to survive in the end since lack of community support. maybe they should refund the money

Hi everyone,

So today’s the day of the so long promised announcement! We’ve worked hard to make it happen, and I am really pleased to welcome two senior members to our team:

- Julien Chalté, serial entrepreneur, who will be our CEO from now on (https://www.linkedin.com/in/julienchalte/)

- Vincent Birot, experienced lawyer, who is joining us as our Vice President Business Legals Affairs (https://www.linkedin.com/in/vincentbirot/)

I am personally happy to welcome them in the team, who are experts in their respective industry and who will take SelfPay to another level.

Our white paper will be amended accordingly within tomorrow.

Julien will be handling all communications from this day onwards.

Bright days ahead for SelfPay, welcome to them!

That is the problem "potential", potential doesn't mean anything unless there is some progress of the project. Most likely this project is dead and they took our money

Hello,

Raphaël officially introduced me to you all last month, and I am really thrilled to join this project.

Please allow me to tell you with a bit more details what we are working on at the moment:

Having a great project, addressing real needs, is one thing. Making it happen by complying to all laws and regulations, already in place or anticipating upcoming ones, another.

This is what is currently taking most of our time. Regulations. Setting up a proper entity to make sure that the ICO will be legit, recognized as such, not seen as falling under any Securities laws, and so on.

So today, I am happy to announce, after having worked countless hours with our legal council during these past few weeks, that the ICO will take place under the Singaporean jurisdiction.

Why Singapore? In short: they already have strict regulations in place regarding ICOs and cryptocurrencies in general, and the Thai government has good ties with Singapore (SelfPay is based in Bangkok, where the whole team resides).

To emphasize that, I would like to quote a portion of this article, dated 28th March: https://www.bangkokpost.com/business/finance/1436159/draft-decree-on-digital-assets-approved

Quote
If ICOs cannot be developed in Thailand, then it is not a problem for ICO issuers because they can embark on ICO offerings in Singapore, even if the funding cost is higher there than in Thailand, he said.

"Singapore is a good location to raise funds from ICOs as it waives the capital gains tax, so the market environment supports the registration of ICOs with good prospects there," said Mr Korn.

As for the ICO date, we can now confirm that it will happen next month, in May. The exact day still needs to be confirmed, though. But we will announce it officially as soon as it has been set.

Thank you for your trust. Stay tuned! Wink

What team? Apart from Raphael that posted a few messages since the end of the ICO, and you who all of a sudden joins this project, we have not heard about anybody else.
There use to be 5 or 6 of you, some devs, etc. where are they? We cannot see them on the website anymore, and the white paper cannot be downloaded either, where you supposedly amended the team on March 27th.

This smells like a big bullshit imho. If you are supposed to launch the ICO in May, where is the new whitepaper, where are the announcements on your channels? Looks like you are just stalling, hoping people forget about you.

This is lost cause. They pretty much scammed us.

So they finally break and turned scam?  Cheesy

Seen some team disappear a bit but come back after some time actually, I remember debitum team disappear for a bit and then com back again for their ICO. They do have an App like they said, if they are going to be back, I hope they are going to present a real platform by then.

Guys, I understand your concerns. They're legitimate.

I just joined the project, now my job is to check everything from the ground up and be thorough with every aspects. This does take time and might disrupt previously announced timelines. It doesn't mean it's a scam, and I would love it if this word could be avoided and instead have a rather constructive discussion.

The white paper is coming back soon, revised, with new team members. The reason why it's not back yet is because our legal council has asked us to hold a little longer so that they can finalize the legal opinion on the project and its compliance with all Singaporean regulations.

Again, I appreciate your patience. Just bear with us, it will be worth it.

This does take time and might disrupt previously announced timelines.

Your announcement was made on the 30th of January on your website, it's mid April now, and still nothing. Ok it can take time, but 2 and a half months is borderline ridiculous. I tried to find your Telegram channel, it does not exist anymore, twitter and facebook are inactive.
Where's that James guy who posted the announce here on BitcoinTalk? There was another guy as well who was pretty active. Why are they not posting? Are they still part of the team, or is it just you and Raphael?

All these unanswered questions raised suspicions of scam of course, and people are right to talk about that, whether you like it or not.

Out of curiosity, have you contributed to the pre-ICO, or did you just come here to create some useless FUD around our project?

You're talking about January, but like Raphaël announced, I joined the project not even a month ago. Will I be allowed to have a reasonable time to do my job, or are you going to shout "scam" everyday?

Like I said before, all announcements about the team, the project itself and everything related to it will be done in due time. Have a great day.

Somehow I am the only one who does not "shout" scam, but yet you find a way to post a message like that... smh  Undecided
Rather than your being late with your announcements, it's your ability to dodge and avoid questions that are asked directly here, by the community, that is alarming. Also, why announcing things when you know you won't be able to follow up with your timeline? Why would Rapheal announces he is amending the white paper on March 27th when a month later, the paper is still not ready...

Again, the fact that the community raises concerns about you being a scam or not is their right, and if you take a closer look at your communication, that might give you some clues as to why.

For those of you who want to join our Telegram group, where the most recent updates will be made, here you are: https://t.me/SelfPay_ICO

(Yes, it does exist Wink )

@martinaldrin: we've read you, thanks for your concerns, now I'll continue working hard with my team to deliver what we promised rather than debating communication skills. Have a great one Wink

I contribute to ico when first went live. This project looks 100% dead. no facebook and no twiter posts for more then 5 months. The whitepaper (https://ico.selfpay.asia/pdf/whitepaper-selfpay.pdf) says 4 team members, but none apart from raphel of post anything anymore.

I found raphael email address from domain whois lookup, and email regarding refund.
