I just etched a high resolution 50MB image on datacoin testnet variable storage (DTC-TV) from my home in Long Beach CA. The bitfossil realtime indexer picked it up in good ole moorhead MN and rebuilt it without issue. <3 http://bitfossil.com/42c76b00c883983adc48a21ed305ee5b0105aeb5844067c5db48cbc0385120b6/index.htmThis is now the largest file etched with http://Apertus.io that i am aware of. <3 The cost appears to be about 4.55 DTC per 90K at a pretty consistent rate of around 250K per minute It took 3 hrs and 25 minutes to complete. I was seeing a lot of unconfirmed ? transactions but they appear to eventually clean themselves up. Thanks for your time.

That's awesome embii, this puts my dos emulators and 20k game of Snake to shame I have had a go at streaming copyright free films using the TorrentTime plugin, I can etch and run the player without issue but for some reason the player can't find any sources after I have added in the magnetlink. It's something I need to spend more time on.

for me seeing that IBM PCx86 command prompt was really a dream come true. seriously We have already put it out as an example on http://Apertus.io <3 streaming video AHHHH!!!! awesome. excited to see the activity on this thread.. wow....it's really awesome how easy it is to mine testnet coins on datacoin even with a single cpu Just click Help / Debug Window / type setgenerate true 1 / hit enter. If you haven't setup a -testnet wallet before here is a quick video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CxDSrYuzmyQApertus uses testnets as temporary data stores. anything you wouldn't want to persist forever you can store on a testnet like encrypted "persistent" chat sessions. this data can been pruned at any time by the datacoin development community so test away. If you make it onto the testnet you can download the source and official release of Apertus.io v0.3.12-beta here: Source code: 53edf66dfba0bfe9efae8b1f756faeb1ed0c643764afd9ee7bbc16edcaed3a93 Official Release: 087a0ae85e337096c4e5c7fd7f37ce49643aa42b09952814853abad2eba73a02 I entered file proof hashes for each file. once importaddress is implemented it can be used look up the details on any file that was stored with a hash. This is handy to determine if a file has come from a trusted source prior to executing it. here is a video showing how this works today https://youtu.be/2eGQKq7dKeAPS: i am using the following datacoin testnet signature to sign trusted Apertus content. Happy Monday,
This is new to me. I'm seeing 40 connections on Mainnet and 6 connections on Testnet.
31 of them are /Satoshi:0.8.3/ 5 of them are /Satoshi:0.8.6/ hp14 branch 2 of them are /Datacoin:0.8.6/ v12 2 of them are /Satoshi:0.8.5/
7 of them are IPv6 accessible.
Quite likely some of these counts are for dual-stack connected nodes where they're dialing out on both IPv4 and IPv6 such that two connections actually imply one physical node.
Best Regards, -Chicago

Hi, Here's my version list from today: 2 /Datacoin.8.6/Datacoin.1.2(v0.8.6.0)/ 25 /Satoshi.8.3/ 1 /Satoshi.8.5/ 5 /Satoshi.8.6/Datacoin.1.2(v0.1.2.0dtc-hp14-gunk-beta)/
and for easy use for linux below is nice script I've made which makes eye-friendly output to file: #!/bin/bash echo "Generating nice peer version list to peers_ver.txt" ./datacoind-pool getpeerinfo | grep -w subver | sed 's/\ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \"subver\"\ \:\ \"//' | sed 's~:[[:digit:]]\+~~g' | sed s'/\"\,//' | sort | uniq --count > peers_ver.txt echo "Done"
btw, I only have IPv4 allowed. MM

Awesome, you have also reminded me to update my client I have been using 0.3.11 I really want to get streaming torrents working, searching for another plugin atm, torrentstime is too insecure it needs root to run on osx. If anyone wants to follow me on twitter, here is another account for datacoin updates - @dtc20017

There are some recently compiled binaries and source code on GitHub available from more than one contributor to this project. You can try the binaries I built from github.com/coiningpress if you'd like. Any feedback about the wallet, positive or negative will be appreciated. Its still in "testing" since not too many people are using it. Best Regards, -Chicago

[UPDATE] Apertus v0.3.13-beta has been released on http://Apertus.ioI Found a bug that was preventing data archived using the DTC method from properly linking to data archived using the DTC-V native method. I also disabled the profile creation ability if a variable coin type has been selected. a profile can be used but not created in variable storage. HINT: Consider storing your profile image using variable storage first and then browsing through the Apertus root to look for the image you just stored when setting up your new profile image. Apertus will see that the file you selected already exists in the master root and will add a shortcut to the image in your profile instead of re-etching the whole image again. this will give you the cost savings benefit of datacoin variable storage while keeping the profile and tracking benefits of the generic storage type. Thanks for your time.

Lovely, lovely. I was thinking, with English, Chinese, Spanish and Arabic you cover basically the whole planet. Not that I want to give you work..... Mind you, I have noticed (and cultivated) a lot of Spanish and Arabic speakers on the DatacoinX Twitter and Facebook pages.

I get a lot of Arabic on Twitter and Facebook, but I can feel that a lot is lost in translation. Lol.
