As quite a few of you gamble in cryptos casinos from countries where gambling is forbidden, I was wondering if you use TOR to hide your identity. Or if you use it as well, even if you don’t gamble, to avoid your movements being traced when operating with btc and other cryptocurrencies.

yeah i have to use tor browser for my personal work. it is more secure compare to other browsers. in this we have to transfer bit coins easily. tor can help for keeping our money more secure. any one can't hack this browser. for that reason in the world most of the people prefer for tor browser.

NO tor only Design for Deep /Dark internet not no hide your ip so it will work as normal web browser which chrome or opera better than it

Before I've used Tor for bad intentions and because of curiousity on how does deepweb differ from what is filtered on the surface. I have seen much evil that im not gonna go back again. If you're in a country that restrict gambling online, I think vpn is enough that my friend does the same. Tor network won't insure anonymity or any kind of virtual private network won't help you hide your true identity if in your own your not careful with it. Bitcoin address is highly traceable and if without proper mixing of address and vpn it won't work. A simple mistake will trigger more damage that you won't know.

I've surfed deepweb once, there's nothing scary and to worry about, and ofcourse I always follow the guidance to make sure my safety, and holy shit, there's so many illegal porn content there people said but will never visit it though. and also, it seems that the deepweb itself is just bunch of people who want to try something different, nothing as scary as what people said.
and one thing, what's the deal of hackers knowing your address tho.

I feel you, only those who has the guts to go beyond the surface (search engine) filtered  and into the deep web with much safety precautions must be allowed. It is something we and I should discourage on accessing by our children and those teenagers who have small knowledge on .onion sites.

Tor is not really a bad thing that is for sure, but on how or where you used it is a different stories. If in accessing it is just for learning purposes or experience it’s much better but if and only reason your visiting there is to make illegal transactions is on your own risk alone.

I know that NBI and Cyber crime division is monitoring that sites after the Silkroad controversy and I think it was shutdown. But correct me if I’m wrong, haven’t been there for years now and no plan to be back.

It all depends on the rules of the casino site which you visit. There are sites that you can't track but they see that you use TOR and will not give you the opportunity to register an account. If a site uses to bind to account your IP address then you will also be a problem when using TOR. You need to check and only then pay a small sum to the balance.

With several news if dark web and the like on Tor and how law enforcement agents disguise in other to deceive people and get them in sting operations, I wonder whether its even safe as its being proclaimed.

I don’t really know because I haven’t used Tor that much but what I can tell you is that it has some privacy options so if you go for the highest privacy you probably won’t be able to run some features because, for example, JavaScript doesn’t work. You will probably be able to access some forbidden sites in your country but authorities could see that you are using Tor.

I am assuming you talk about casinos where you can play without downloading any software, if this was the case I think it would be better to use VPN.

I've used TOR before, but I don't really dabble much in the darknet market scene, so I don't have much use for it. In most cases, I'd prefer to use a no-log VPN (or TOR browser in conjunction with a no-log VPN).

TOR isn't enough to make your transactions anonymous. It's pretty well known by now that governments and law enforcement agencies are running a lot of TOR exit nodes, monitoring activity. The best option for anonymity we have right now is Monero.

Not just running nodes. DARPA funded TOR in the beginning. If I wanted to keep tabs on criminals and people who don't want me to know about things, I would just tell them that there was no possible way for me to track them if they used a certain program.

Using tor is just an illusion of your safety network. Even if you use VPN it does not give you a 100% guarantee from the fact that you can keep track of the government and hackers. People who use such primitive methods to anonymously visit the Internet most often fall under harassment.

Tor Browser is Not Really A Safe haven of Transactions, Since It Can Be Done With Anonymity and the Same thing Goes Can Be Trace Anonymously. This Browser is Known By Great Agency that always Trace Identity's Like FBI, and Any Government. Many untrusted Sites In Tor Browser Especially Gambling Sites Even Thou you Hide Your Identity Still Not Always A Safe Haven.  In My own Perspective better to Use VPN Than TOR.

As for my case, i don't use TOR because in my country bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency is legal here, so there is no real purpose to use TOR and besides I'm not doing anything illegal to hide my identity.

I only used Tor once or twice. Just for experienced to see how dark web looks and feels like. Well others used it to hide and protect their privacy. But as far as online gaming for me, I don't used it because I lived today in a country where Bitcoin is legal in a sense, same as online gambling.

I'm no expert here, but from what you are saying, its easy to hack someone if he/she is using Tor on Wifi? So it really defeat the purpose of being private and secure using Tor?
